Controls locking up after sex in Sexlab Defeat

When I am the aggressor in a Sexlab Defeat assault, my controls lock up after I finish with the NPC. I can unsheathe my weapons and move around, but I can't activate anything (doors, items, furniture, etc) and I can't even open up my inventory or spellbook. I can, however, open my inventory and spellbook while in flying camera mode, but I can't interact with anything else.

 

I heard it was a problem with the flying camera thing in Sexlab, but I made sure the auto flying camera was disabled during sex, and I also made sure I wasn't using it during the sex as well - but my controls were still locked up. I also tried entering and exiting flying camera after the assault, but while I was able to do so, I wasn't able to regain control of my character.

Same thing happens to me sometimes when just using "tfc". Unfortunately enable player controls never helped, at least for me. The only way I can fix it is to restart the whole game.

I had a similar issue with any on death function (Defeat, Cursed Loot, DA), still not quite sure what causes it. Equipping a weapon or spell to force a new weapon draw animation usually fixes it for me, though it may take a few tries.

You could also try Defeats clean up feature, afaik it can't break anything to use it. Worst thing that happened to my own character was that i couldn't scroll in/out anymore, though.

Thanks for the replies. Doesn't look like there's anything I can do to fix this since epc, restart, equipping new weapons, or cleaning up Defeat works. Ah well. I'll just load up a previous save.

I too have been seeing similar issues with Defeat. Usually it's been with my character on the victim side, but what happens is Defeat will run and all, and then once enemies are finished with her, she'll ragdoll and I'll hear the "Death" sound that Skyrim uses, and I'm stuck forever unless I reload. I can't remember if I can access inventory or what, as it's been awhile since I last had this happen (haven't been playing as much lately).

 

I remember that I was able to get my character working somewhat with the 'resurrect' command, but the camera remained stuck and the death sound kept going. It was a bit of a mess.

I've had this problem using Defeat with DA, but changing DA settings solved it (in essence disabling everything that is not related to defeat). What worked btw as a workaround before i figured settings out was triggering masturbation by press and hold 'N' button, not sure if that's sexlab or SLAR feature.

Turn off Auto flying Camera in Sexlab.
Use button 3 instead.

It happened to me in Defeat even when I did not have Death Alternative installed, sad to say. I actually have installed DA just to see if that helps, using that for the 'bleed out' rather than what Defeat does natively.

 

I also never use the Auto Flying Cam, because I know that it's traditionally been a source of issues. The freezing seems to happen independent of any sex scenes going on... usually after they've completed when Defeat should be wrapping up.

Mine is locking up when my character is "satisfied" and attacks again or gets attacked...I get a tone from the system OS and the game just freezes.

I believe I found the problem on my end. I disabled Lovers Victim to see what would happen and this seemed to have fixed the issue entirely. As of now my character can attack and I can scroll in & out again. I'm using the latest version of Defeat (5.3.5) and the version of Lovers Victim that I now have disabled is; SexLab_LoversVictim_v20140106.

It "helps", but it also resets the active effects on your character. Like the ones from perk overhauls, Facelight, your chosen standingstone and so on.
As nice as an ingame fix would be, I'd advise against resurrect. My solution would still be restarting the whole game, which takes minutes ?

 

edit: But resurrect + loading a previous save seems to help. That might speed things up.

Yeah I'm play SE and have this problem after milk animation (could be because i milked Neisa, but who wouldn't), but I first ran into it from tfc during animation. Hope someone find a fix.

Hmm I just noticed that once the problem occurred I opened a previous save, but the problem continue, so I exited the game and reloaded a save from when I first noticed the locked commands and everything works fine. So you may have to simply save the game, exit and reload the save when this happens till the problem is fixed.

I'll give myself 500 septim for that.

I was unable to fix this. I was able to reproduce it, though. The courier ran up right as my character and Lydia were gettin' nasty, tabbing through his forced dialogue is what broke it. enableplayercontrols 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 didn't work, TFC, save reloads, etc. (Animations played and they both finished as normal. Then character locked.)

If that happens, then (with me) helps a vanilla animation, which enforces the third person camera and then releases again.
For example, chopping wood or collecting ore.

This is happening to me.  This is a problem which has existed for years.  Still no fix has been found.

Well This is a very old post, but I got a semi solution. Those that are using this mod will have Sexlab installed (If not get it). In Sexlab McM menu there is a "Auto Free Cam" setting enable that. It wont resolve the issue but it works for me.  Just dont ever type TFC in the console when you are mid Defeat or Sexlab animation since it will mess up your controls when Defeat mod is installed. As for me understanding why it is broken, mainly due to the conflict of free cam in the mods and base game which I don't think there is a fix for just finding ways around the problem. Hope this helped
