Skipidi Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 Quick question...can ghouls and super mutants impregnate female characters? Â Thanks, Eric Yes.
Wardogs667 Posted August 8, 2017 Posted August 8, 2017 Hilarity Report (Bug Report):  So I'm just going to copy paste what I showed to my friend to report this cute little bug:  " Yuni_Hermit: **Gets pregnant off of Dogmeat**  ... Dogmeat: "So you probably want to talk to me about that belly."  Nora (player): "It's yours, and you should take responsibility for it."  Dogmeat "Well I don't know what to think right now."  Nora (Me, internal): "I am talking... to a DOG."  "  (Insane) Request:  On the upside, when talking to Dogmeat about the baby he put in me, I had the option to try to get him to marry me. I don't know why, but the idea of the player marrying Dogmeat... somehow greatly appeals to me, in a humor sense. I would adore if that was possible. xD  So yeah, I have a preference for ability to marry, possibly. Particularly a creature, because crazy Yuni. That's something Skyrim didn't even have, and this IS a lawless wasteland~  I got the same reaction from the dog as well since I'm somewhat doing that myself, I have the boston breeder mod installed (for me he is just labeled "dog" now.... Would be cool to have that kind of harem going around as i build my drug empire with the raider slaves and other NPCs i get from abduction (still have to test that one out).  I understand this mod is still under development so the children don't act like child settlers from other mods but the question i have is how long are the 36 months in game time? is it equal to the 1day=1month from the options of the pregnancy?

  yes. 36 in-game days
Zereal Posted August 9, 2017 Posted August 9, 2017 How long does it take for children to grow into adults?
kdw11 Posted August 9, 2017 Posted August 9, 2017 How long does it take for children to grow into adults? Check the future plans, they currently don't grow into adults.
vinfamy Posted August 9, 2017 Author Posted August 9, 2017 Check the future plans, they currently don't grow into adults. Â Â Pretty straightforward thing to add, technically easier than changing a baby (an inventory item) into a child (an actor). Thing is 36 months for a baby to a child is already quite long (36 days in game at default settings), I'm not sure whether I should apply the same timescale to growing to adult, that would be like 18*12 = 216 in-game days to grow from a newborn to an adult. Not sure many people's playthroughs actually last that long, plus it doesn't make sense if your baby grows from 0 to 18 but you haven't aged a day. Â Also, once they are 18, I imagine there will be calls for incest content, which just like the old Shaun, can be uncomfortable for others.

I think you had already troubles with children content and managed to do something against it, although I don't know. But technically you could simply track the grown up children that are now fake adults and count them as "still children". Isn't that possible? Then this whole incest thing is like the pedo thing you hopefully managed to overcome. Â 2. On the timescale: Isn't the world itself speeded for the reason of enjoying things quickly rather than having boring realtime? For a family of 3 children you'd need a minimum of 3x9+36=63 days already and you mentioned that playthrough time isn't too long. Â 3. I think Fallout 3 had 2 different child stages. Maybe here too? A small child and a teenager? Is that possible? At least you called your mod "family planning", so I'd expect a family with children could actually be created and managed to stay together.

Can't have any pedo shit if no kids exist! Â :D :D :D Â Â Â
seraph85 Posted August 9, 2017 Posted August 9, 2017 Playing a male character understand how pregnancy works for NPCs, its simple. However I was wondering about he mechanics with a female PC. it seems like its 0% if you aren't "feeling fertile" and if you are it is a 100% chance. Does the conception chance only apply to female NPCs? I've set the conception chance to 1% and the PC still gets pregnant the day she wakes up w"feeling fertile" I suppose it could just be a huge coincidence.
Timey Posted August 10, 2017 Posted August 10, 2017 Do you have to get the notification that the baby is being brought up by the settlers for it to actually start growing? I set up a crib at Sanctuary, and when I dropped the babies there it put them in the crib just fine, notifications and all. However I wanted to move my SoSu and MacCready's little family over to Croup Manor to build their own home there, but when I set up a crib and dropped one of the babies, the kid was just floating. Wouldn't go in the crib no matter what I did.Â
DasReverend Posted August 10, 2017 Posted August 10, 2017 Is there potential for non-human partners to result in different pregnancy lengths?
vinfamy Posted August 10, 2017 Author Posted August 10, 2017 Is there potential for non-human partners to result in different pregnancy lengths? Â It's do-able technically. What should be the different lengths? Is there a lore reason for that?
DasReverend Posted August 10, 2017 Posted August 10, 2017 When it comes to the future plans for offspring based on non-human mates, I am assuming there are no plans for creating wolfmen with Dogmeat. One would assume that pups would gestate and mature more quickly than human babies
VonHelton Posted August 10, 2017 Posted August 10, 2017 Um, it's still telling my male character to go to the doctor....... Â Â Â
Wardogs667 Posted August 10, 2017 Posted August 10, 2017 @Vinfamy: I realize the whole time thing seems out of place (not aging while they do) so the adult growth may not be immersive but at least allowing the children to work as settlers as the Orphans of Commonwealth mod allows should be do able (i'm saying this not knowing the difficulty of modding in general is). Even if it would be difficult to flag them as settlers it would be nice to have them wandering around to "increase" the towns population; which is why I asked how long it took, 36 in game days does seem like a lot already. I would be willing to "bite the bullet" not being that immersive and have a shorter time frame for that feeling of having a bigger town or at least a town that grows as a normal one would if the player "has" the npcs get pregnant as well.
moltobenis Posted August 10, 2017 Posted August 10, 2017 Now that we have belly content will we get an inflation and expansion framework like skyrim has?
Guest Posted August 11, 2017 Posted August 11, 2017 The link for CBBE goes to the skyrim version when it should be this one http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/15/?tab=1&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Ffallout4%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D15%26preview%3D&pUp=1
oerkel Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 Can i only place the children in sanctuary? I've tried to place one in the crip that i build in the castle and the baby floats in the air, also i recived no notification. Also tried different settelments and the baby still floats in mid air. Any idea why?

VonHelton Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 3-ways are still FUBAR.......... Â Â Dogmeat is still humping air...... Â Â Â Â
vinfamy Posted August 12, 2017 Author Posted August 12, 2017 Â Â Will be resolved with the new animation loader. Â As I mentioned before, Doc's old system doesn't translate well to anything above two actors, which is why we're working on the animation loader. Â The dogmeat humping air thing is probably camera clipping. Turn off the Auto Fly Cam
Battlecry Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 Is it normal that the belly stays a tiny bit bigger after the pregnancy?
Skipidi Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 Is it normal that the belly stays a tiny bit bigger after the pregnancy? One could even say it's realistic
