Not sure if it helps you in any way, but in Skyrim there was "Priority" option on ArmorAddon, which was supposed to control rendering priority for equip slots. If two armors used the same slot (ie 32) and one had higher priority it would be rendered over the other. Unfortunately it was bugged in Skyrim, but maybe its fixed now?

A good amount of ambient sound still plays, but CPU Usage goes from around 60% to nearly 100% for a couple seconds while either Deviously Cursed Wasteland or Devious Devices processes the stimulation event and plays those sounds. randomxyn Posted June 5, 2017 Posted June 5, 2017 Like the mod and the DCW combo. I am having an issue though regarding the pipboy and restraining gloves/arms etc. The pipboy vanishes. I can not see my inventory at all, I can not equip the pipboy via console. I can not navigate the pipboy blind. I can not remove the hand/arm restraints at all cause I can't bring up the menus to try to unlock the item. I have searched for various ways to bring up my inventory so I can try and pick the locks, struggle etc to remove the items. Even using player.unequip is not working. The item will vanish from the player, but a script is still firing somewhere that is forcing the pipboy to remain invisible and unusable. I am enjoying this mod and quest very much, but this issue is rather game breaking as I am unable to do anything but stand around cause I have zero options to remove the restraints. I truly want to continue to use this mod and DCW. Is there anyway to force the menu to show without the pipboy screen visible? I have tried console commands, I have tried power armor trick, etc etc. I have no experience messing with scripts to even know where to start to search for the single line of code that is still firing off after the unequip all console command. Please help. Thank you.

Guest Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 Sneaking in Latex: It's been discussed, just no obvious fix for the dress or a body part blocking Player's view. So I'll pretend you've never heard of this one: While sneaking around in the pink Latex dress or the Pink Latex corset, a part of the corset close to the upper chest area blocks 1st-person view. It's as if Player were a turtle, and when she crouches, part of her "shell" obstructs her view. The last post about this I saw was around May, when someone asked if someone else could describe a fix. If I skipped a post or a FAQ, apologies in advance.

xxDarkSlayerxx Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 The fix is pretty easy and only needs some minor changes to the ESM from this mod (and I think to the ESP from Deviously Cursed Wasteland). I think, that the next version most likely will have those issues fixed, since it is only adding a first person mesh to the armor. The thing is, the first person mesh already exists, but it is not "linked" in the Armor Properties.

Select something where you can select your preset, press the "Save as" button and select the DeviousDevices group. Still strange, tho...i have a couple of presets installed from the nexus and they all showed up for DD right away.

As other people have mentioned, when you have things such as a straitjacket for bondage mitts on, your pipboy is unequiped. I tried to reequip it using player.equipItem 21b3b, but it instantly gets unequiped. Since this prevents fast travel and the UI used to pick or use keys, how the heck are you supposed to get the thing off? I even tried talking to Kimy hoping she would have a dialog option to help, after using an online map to find my way there. TIP for people that run into this problem but don't have a recent save. Deactivate the mod (and things it is a dependency for). Load save, close the game and save, then reactivate the mod and load in again. Unfortunately you will lose any saved up gear this way, but at least you won't lose 2 hours of gameplay. If there is a proper way to get out of this "situation", please enlighten me. Otherwise would it be possible to get a patch for this that can be applied over the current mod until the next release comes out? Edit: After looking through the included source in the mod archive, it looks like you may have this idea already. But for things like an bondage mitts or a straight jacket. Make the pipboy usable but can't do anything besides look at the map, which would allow you to find a friendly NPC (or companion) who will kindly "loosen" it up enough that you are able to pick items up (such as a key) and are then able to reach the lock. Other bugs: lack of a bug tracker (or am I the only one that finds them useful?) issue I was talking about above even if a piece of equipment has made it to the "impossible without a key" stage, you can still struggle or pick your way out of it. not sure if it belongs here, or your other mod, but the slave collar doesn't always shock you if you are wearing armor (even the stuff that is part of the original game) things like blindfolds or handcuffs randomly seem to start and stop providing the associated effects when other things are added or removed. (ex, chastity device is added or removed and all of a sudden you can see normally again with a blindfold on) I stored and then removed some items on my companion, Nick in this case, and now he randomly starts hopping around. He walks and runs, and randomly when his gun is holstered, starts to hop.
xxDarkSlayerxx Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 Another and easier way to get rid of the mitts is just using player.unequipitem and the item id you can retrieve by using player.showinventory. No need to disable the entire mod. There are some quirks with the mod, yes, but nothing game-breaking. (At least nothing I found so far) Another thing which could be done (if possible!) is maybe adding a menu to a hotkey (like how Four Play Sex Em Up does it) whenever you have something equipped which restraints your hands, so that you at least get the option to struggle and maybe get rid of the restraints (and maybe destroying them in the process) or maybe a dialogue option if you talk to a companion to help you with getting out of it. The success then depends on their lockpick skill (or to make it slightly easier, on yours). I sadly am not a coder or papyrus scripter to get into all this and help with development to implement such stuff and therefor I am just happy, that people work on such mods and even release them in such stages for others to test them, report stuff and enjoy the mods nonetheless. (Not to mention, that I'm not a really...patient person and the Creation Kit is not the fastest and not the most stable, at least on my end...would be a pain in the ass for me to work with it on a daily basis)
vrelk Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 I actually tried that first, but when I tried to manually reequip the pipboy since it didn't do so on it's own, it told me that I couldn't equip it, as if the gloves were still on. I have started doing full saves more frequently since this happened. It is a great mod so far, but it does have its flaws. Maybe some of these issues are conflicts with other mods, although for me it was the can't equip because your hands are bound (or whatever the wording is), indicating it was this one. I completely agree with the talking to your companion thing (or a friendly npc). It would make it a bit more realistic. How are you supposed to pick your way out of bondage mitts or a straitjacket? EDIT: Just had it happen again. I had the pipboy on until I reloaded a save as I got into a combat situation, then it was gone when I reloaded. Last time I tried unequipped and nothing happened, so I resorted to removeitem which left the effects. I just discovered that unequipping the bondage mitts leaves them in place, and that there is actually another item in the list without a name (Format "1 - (0E051C10) - Worn - LOCKED") which is the item you actually need to unequipped to remove them. Unfortunately even after doing that I still get the "You can't equip this item with sealed hands" message and have it unequipped instantly.

I don't want to sit for minutes just to read the same text over and over again just to access her store. Not that I am aware of. This has been mentioned before though. The time is calculated by the game itself using the number of words in what is being said. What you should be asking is if there is any way to skip the messages, which there should be, but hasn't been implemented.
ssonly Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 Idea: prevent opening devices by save/load game. Generate result of first 10-20 unlocking attempts when device equipped, not when user tries to open device so if user loads game after jamming lock or key break next attempt will be the same.

I'm using CBBE, the devious devices really are the only ones I can't build. I'm trying to apply miku's preset I managed to make it work (kinda) by saving that preset again, with another name, and allow it for devious devices. I don't know why I had to do it, nor if it is of any importance, but I thought I'd let you know.
