I knocked on Rustleif's door, no answer so I picked the lock and gained a sneak and lock picking skill point, huzzah! Nothing of interest was in the house so I just took an apple because my PC was a bit hungry (RND). I leave the house and talk to Rustleif the blacksmith and he tells me about his "loving" Redguard wife and how she's knocked up, blah, blah, blah, and he would like for me to plunge myself into danger to get her a book. So I do just that, return to Dawnstar and my PC is instantly jumped by four hired mercenaries.... wtf? After dying then coming back prepared and killing them I found a note on one of them that told the bastards to kill my "thief" of a PC and it was signed "-Seren"! I was pissed! I went to confront the bitch and to my dismay had no options to do or say anything - she just innocently spoke about her husband. Seriously? She sends a bunch of thugs to come kill my PC over an apple? UGH!!! I may or may not slit her throat in her sleep.

Z72 Posted January 31, 2017 Posted January 31, 2017 I'd recommend you use the 'Hired Thugs Fixed' mod from here : http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/73811/? The thugs only come after you if you get caught stealing, not just because you stole - so in your example they would never have been sent in the first place (how did the blacksmiths know you ate their damn apple anyway?!!).

When I read the note I was WFT where the hell did they get the money to hire these goons if I stole all of their shit and 2nd how the hell were they able to talk to someone long enough to hire them without getting killed? Other then the player PC that talks to everyone almost everyone else will go **ghost** stabbity stab stab.

As Mud has already said, it's just a radiant event that will connect to just about any npc whom you steal from (at least the first theft. I think subsequent thefts don't trigger the thugs - but don't take my word for it. Didn't steal that much). It's really not personal - Seren is as much a victim of this event as you - because I've seen quite a few posters write about exacting vengeance on various NPCs for this exact reason. It'll just about always happen your first theft or so.

I've done my fair share of stealing, especially in Dragon's reach - I LOVE to collect books. So I sneak around and steal from every room in that place and I have NEVER had a legit "dead or alive but, preferably dead" bounty on any of my PCs. It made me scratch my head for a moment and wondered if it was part of some story line down the road but, I really did laugh about it after. I mean, by the eight! Sending someone to kill my hungry PC for taking an apple?! That bitch must seriously love her fruit. Or maybe she had a craving and I took the last apple. *shrugs*

(that might be bounty hunter, I forget but it has something on thugs!) Lucky I don't have thugs too often when not prepared for them, so I see them generally as free loot pinatas. Bonus that you can attack them in town first (I think, could be wrong) and the guards will help YOU beat them down.

At first I thought I forgot to pay my taxes (Taxes of the Nine Holds) or to the loan shark and shit got mafia-like really quickly then I found the note. I'm still not going to stop stealing borrowing things, I'll just have my PC sleep with a dagger under her pillow from now on. I love you all, by the way. xoxo
karlpaws Posted January 31, 2017 Posted January 31, 2017 Depending on which play profile this is and whether its your succubus type, and what other hardcore things you have going on besides RND, random, unconnected from any quest, non essential in the least, random spawned and no better than bandit NPCs like that make for good powerups. If TES has taught me anything, its steal everything that isn't nailed down.

In other words, I just want to relax, have my PC be a farmer's wife and live off the farm. Of course it's going to take a long time to get good money to pay off my taxes and whatnot and she will still hunt because I need food and certain animal hides/antlers to decorate my Heljarchen home. I did all the stuff to become Thane just to turn into Bob the Builder and make my own home. Which, I gatta say, props to all home makers out there - I'm doing this the easy way. I have no idea how house makers have the patience to do this. I digress. I found and downloaded Heljarchen Farm and fell in love with it except it's not a family home... but, with the shitty land I got from the Jarl of Dawntstar I can start my new RP story with my new PC and be active and busy running the farm, planting and gathering, hunting, taking care of a family, and so on and so forth. So to answer your question, karlpaws, this girl is not a Succubus. She's a simple Nord lady/huntress. She kills only with her bow and arrow and dagger. I've just got immersive mods installed and some LL/SL mods installed because you know, sex is awesome.

It seems like the hired thugs should at the very least have a brawl option so they can bloody your nose and flat out kill you. Just bout done with my latest blog entry and then I'm going to take a fun break myself. Have to see how fun it is though, as I want a few naughty pics from the Thalmor Party for my next chapter, and I hope everyone will cooperate.

I'm currently having a problem with it and posted this incident on the Defeat thread because humans will either not assault my PCs or kill them immediately after. I have no problems with creatures. "(persuade) What apple!? You have no proof I took it!" "My husband smelled it on your breath!" "(lie) Horker shit! It's been four hours since I last ate!" "Yeah? Well...Somebody took it!" "Fuck you, bitch! I'll come for you some day!" Also be interesting to add swearing in Skyrim either with custom cut dialogue like Mans1ayer or with bleeps, plus changed subtitles and PC dialogue choices.

I think I may need to download it, critters that snitch are not IMMERSIVE! ...and um...one of my PCs was assaulted by a chicken. It just happened out of no where. Apparently I forgot to remove chickens and cows from the list of animals that are allowed to do naughty things. I had my girl stop in some small village so I could check the map when I got a message saying, "You are being pursued by an aroused chicken!" O_o "No way," I thought. I moved my camera around and saw the little fucker running towards her and before I could run, it somehow UN-IMMERSIVELY violated my PC. I kill them after I steal their food and books because I THOUGHT there were no witnesses but, some woodland creature must have report me and I got a bounty and was stopped by guards in the next city I entered.... Everything must die.
