Regardless of whatever else happened after this point in Beyond Reach, at the very least, one gets to fight alongside a prince looking to improve the plight of his people.

Of course, the terrible things done to maintain the peace that he wanted to bring leads to a choice far harder to make than picking a side in the Skyrim Civil War.

The journey also takes place across some interesting scenery so even the harder 'just' path does not render all of one's efforts for naught.
