CBBE / BodySlide and Outfit Studio

O damn, breaking out the ZBrush for this one. I almost want to imagine something like Dem level of detail in anatomy* while working with bodyslider.

Bone structure, not just b00bies.

The normal maps for CBBE were always made with ZBrush since 2011. Has nothing to do with the mesh itself or the sliders.

Not what I meant, but I'll be more literal in posts.

Posted

Caliente didn't have much time to work on it the past few days due to work - she's currently finished a first iteration of the base shape and most sliders.

There's still much more to do, like updating the textures, creating the high res model in ZBrush for baking the normal map, cleaning everything up and making the bone weights, and more.

I myself am working on a tool that will optimize all old Skyrim meshes for the new SSE format right now.

Its code will work and be ported into Outfit Studio as well.

 Keep up the great work!

I don't know if this is the right thread for suggestions, and I understand that the one I'm going to make would be for somewhere in the future of BS/OS. I come from Blender and really have a hard time correctly weightpainting in Bodyslide. By "correctly" I mean precisely. In Blender I use this mod:

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/16332/?

You probably can guess my idea: Would it be possible coding-wise to integrate this in Bodyslide in any future release? Or would it be far too much trouble to do this?

Another question I have is the Dismemberment Partitioning. I'm used to the Blender workflow. I really couldn' get it to work in the latest Outfit studio. Is there a good tutorial about this?

Another question (sorry): Are clipped bodies Bodyslide/Outfit Sutdio-compatible? Today have started a vanilla armor conversion for UUNP in Blender (will take months to finish, I hope I don't run out of gas), but it would be pointless if this couldn't be used in OS to turn it into the other UUNP shapes.

You see, I'm a total Outfit Studio Noob. Sorry if the questions seem banal.

Posing is something I want to add, but it's one of the hardest things to do properly of all things you can do in a program like this. At some point in the future maybe when there's absolutely nothing else to do.

Painting partitions for SSE meshes (e.g. OBJ import) with the SSE Outfit Studio doesn't work properly yet, I have to fix it for the next version along with a proper optimizer that converts meshes to the SSE format that's in the works.

Clipped bodies can't be used for BodySlide, they have to be 100% full and without a single vertex removed or the vertex order having changed. But that's no problem as you wouldn't be using that body for the BodySlide project anyway.

You delete that body when you load the outfit into Outfit Studio and use the original reference body instead. Then you can cut it up using zaps. Check the wiki for how to make a BodySlide conversion and how to make zaps, and what zaps are.

Thank you very much for your quick reply, ousnius.

Edit: I'm looking forward to the upcoming full release of BS/OS. The wiki you pointed me to is really good. Perhaps one fine day I can ditch good ol' Blender 2.49b...

Do we get a labia slider on the cbbe bodyslide? something like the realvag one. Where you can adjust the outer and inner labia.

I haven't touched CBBE in a while, nor Bodyslide because I have been on a hiatus from Skryim.

But will the new CBBE have working naughty bits or no?  I actually generally liked the CBBE shape better (the breasts were far better shaped than SeveNBase), but I liked the texture options for UNP better.  Also a working vagina.  I want to make the switch back to CBBE.  Textures aren't a big deal because I can edit and "port" textures from UNP to CBBE no problem.  It's not so easy to do with a vagina though.  Do you know if one is being incorporated in the new CBBE?

Thanks ousnius.

Well there's no such thing as HDT right now, so there won't be a working vagina for now either (also, Caliente hates modelling 3D vaginas). Maybe if there's ever gonna be a new HDT PE/SMP for SSE.

Probably not, Caliente has never cared much about detailed genitals. Too much work for something she has no interest in.

So I think the sse-cbbe will be somehow a skyrim version of FO-cbbe, am I right? Will it have those full_body sliders from UUNP?

And in addition I want to ask that who is now in charge of UUNP?  Will this body get some large upgrades in the near future?

In addition...will .fbx files work for the skyrim meshes?

A new body is great. Lack of genitals is no big deal because with a great base, others like the creator of clams of skyrim can produce them. But the only thing that has always bugged me is the lack of a full clothing conversion.

So many times I found myself with an item not normally considered like Ulfricks armor that was not converted and found myself having to use someone else's conversion which wasn't the same as my body slide or was too skimpy for my tastes.

A little update. :)

This what the new base shape of new CBBE (currently) looks like.

Don't forget that if you don't like this shape, it can of course be completely customized with sliders once again.

Since we have a higher polygon count now, there can be more sliders that affect certain areas in detail, such as the leg shape and more.

The sliders are still being actively worked on.

The nipples have been rounded a bit, so they should hopefully appear less cubic/button-y than in the old Skyrim.

Note: The textures in the nipple image don't reflect the in-game look.

Outstanding work I cant wait

Hi guys, I hope this is the right topic, if not let me know and I'll move on.

I'm having neck gap issues now. I'm using the UUNP remodeled armor http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/69562 and anyone who wears any of this shows a very distinct gap between the body and head textures. This doesn't happen when the PC is nude or in any NPCs that are replaced by mods. I can't see any pattern to this other than they are wearing remodeled armor, it happens to all races when the neck is visible.

I went back and read through this topic and saw that people were told not to use the CT77 body, but all the armors in the remodeled armor mod say 'CT77 Elven...' or 'CT77 <whatever>' in bodyslide, but I downloaded the UUNP version of the remodeled armor. I'm not sure why they're all named 'CT77...' if they're supposed to be UUNP, but it's probably something I don't understand.

I'm sure this is something I'm doing wrong, but I can't figure out what. I'm usually pretty good with this stuff on Fallout, but I've never modded skyrim before.

Does anyone have any ideas what might be going on?

Edit: I also have Sporty Blessed athletic map installed.

This normally happens when the armors are converted for a different body type, like trying to use CBBE armors on a UNP body or vice versa.

Great work. this looks pretty nice.

Fair enough, sounds reasonable. My issue then is the UUNP remodeled armors are labeled as 'UUNP' on the download but 'CT77' in Bodyslide. I couldn't begin to tell you what body type it actually is.

this counts for bodies of the same base shape as well. uunp zeroed body is gonna have seams with a unp armor. right now you should make sure the body and armors are being built to the same preset. ct77 is just a filename, the sliders should still be uunp, ive used them once before.

I tried looking at the sliders for the UNP body that came with bodyslide and the ones in the armor download, and they are absolutely, 100% not the same set of sliders.

The one on the armors is much much longer. There is no UUNP on my drop down list for bodyslide, just various UNPs.

And the neck seam issue didn't go anywhere when I applied the same preset to both:

Again, I'm sure I'm doing something wrong on my end, and I've done a lot of nice stuff with outfits and mashups on fallout 4. Thank you for your patience.

Sorry but I've to say as a "base" shape, the new cbbe's breasts are too small

Scaling larger always causes more problem than scaling smaller, especially the breats as the body parts that will sometimes be scaled to over 200%

And modders make outfits based on the BaseShape, So I strongly recommand a average or larger breasts, the 7B body is a good type I think

Jeez bloke, what do ya want for nothing..?

Did you miss the mention of a higher polygon count or what?

The body will have higher polygon count

But the outfits and their texture won't

An B-cup bra's texture will look terrible when it scale to G cup, but the texture of a G cup bra won't be so terrible if it was scale to A cup
