did you fix slif? github shows you added edit files with the description of Troubleshooting SLIF issues

That fix has not been released yet.

It is on github for anyone who knows what they are doing with loose files, but they will be part of the official update in a couple of weeks.

so if i do add the ones from github then they should cause slp to recognize slif?

They might (I couldn't test it since I don't have SLIF).

 

If they do help, I would like to hear it! 

 

And you will have to remember to delete them next time I release an update with a BSA file (unless you already extract loose files for yourself every time you get an update).

just tried it on a new save no luck still not detecting slif and no nodes are being scaled at all i even enabled different settings in hormones for scaling because you said that parasites worked with hormones to balance scaling but nothing.

As a question with the spriggan parasite, will we get a variant like the queen that is more spriggan-like (like you are becoming a full spriggan) in the future? The reason I ask is that I will kind of admit that I like the idea of the parasites growing more and the spriggan armor as it stands feels almost incomplete (to my opinion).

If you have Hormones installed, you need to have two things checked in the menu:

- enable node management

- use SLIF

 

All the other options (bodymorphs and ninodeoverride need to be unchecked).

 

Based on your comment and another one in the Parasites thread, I am going to mark SLIF as broken in Parasites and Hormones. I may have to install it myself to test it properly.

SD+ had a spell to transform you into a full spriggan. I am still planning to port that over to Parasites.

Had quite some fun going trough the queen quest. Had some issues, haven't tried it again so might be more of a heads up if more reports come in

-"transform" spell (eggs -> armor for instance) where not added to PC spells

-gag/mask spell not working. Instantly unequipped again. Had to equip it via MCM

-"tonal" part of the quest was not clear to me. Perhaps a quest marker will help.

 

Also had quite a lot of issue getting mated by a Chaurus. Perhaps adding some way to initiatie mating when you cast the pheromones?

 

Do you also have a new quest in mind?

i should also mention that i am using SSE to test this but that shouldn't matter with slif, But i have notice even though SLIF does actually register Hormones it doesn't actually function unless "Bodymorphs" are selected in the menu, If i do that then it will work but parasites no luck at all not even registering in SLIF.

If I remember right though, wasn't that spell only a temporary thing compared to the chaurus queen situation?

Yes.. but the spriggan curse in Parasites is permanent if not cured from praying at a unique altar.

 

Once I add the transformation into a full spriggan, I will be able to do things like force the transformation in certain situations for example.

hate to be that guy but... full transformation for both at same time? (asking more to get it out of the way)

now i did notice parasite does detect slif in debug but it never actually registers when i test equip any of the parasites themselves.

Full transformation for both Spriggan and Chaurus Queen?

 

That will be tricky to handle and tricker to test. I have to set some boundaries.

yes.. I added that debug message to check if the variable is set.

It seems to be working for some people.. not sure why.

I won't be able to check for sure until I install SLIF myself.

I said I thought I had cleared those spells from perks but I must have missed it.

@DeepBlueFrogalso still don't understand the spirggan thing it doesn't seem to advance as far as i can tell, i get infected the arms are attached but no quest starts or anything like that and danica has nothing related to parasites when i speak to her.

 

am i missing something here? do i need sd+

just confirming i am using the latest patch and not an old one as i did before.

i should also note this, for some reason spriggan feet manual infection is greyed out this happens on both new and old saves.

There is no quest.

 

The Spriggan parasite is a long term infection.

It will grow over your body when it rains or when you are swimming.

You can remove the armor using Danica's parasite repellent (but you won't get the recipe until you get infected with the tentacle armor). I am still working on that.

There is a way to clean it up for good. She will tell you she won't help but you can find a clue in a scroll about spriggans at her desk in the Temple.

That is normal.. the feet are causing a crash to desktop right now. I couldn't fix it.

thanks for clearing things up, still don't know if i want to dedicate to the spriggan infection since it has that leveling bug still and the issue of spells being to strong for my character seemingly still present.

The spells being too strong or not strong enough is an issue with the game engine. That's why some spells have multiple effects based on your level.

I am looking into that.

 

The quest will progress later. Right now I just wanted to get the basics from SD+ working in Parasites.

what is the spell suppose to do anyways? 

 

also didn't the SD+ version of the spirggan infection also have a chance that random npcs would start to masturbate? is that still a thing or?

The spell with the too powerful message is a calming spell to diffuse combat.

I left that part out actually. On purpose. There are many mods with a similar effect.
