@DeepBlueFrog Have you figured out why the Spriggan mesh is borked like I'm seeing here? Again, this is with your mod installed as-is, with a standard UUNP Special (so, HDT physics as well) body. Nothing is modifying the body from there, nothing is modifying the Spriggan armor mesh... I really can't figure out what's wrong here.

I am planning for that. I am also thinking about adding slavetats for regular diseases.

It's a matter of finding the time to hand paint the layers.

I've been banging my head on a wall trying to figure why the spawn seed chaurus and spider spells wouldn't work for me, for the past 2 hours. Turns out, I forgot to take myself out of tgm, and that stops the spells from activating. Yes, it took me two hours of troubleshooting to notice I can sprint infinitely, the sleep deprivation probably didn't help matters.

 

So, this post is to say, if you find the spells aren't working, and you've been messing around with tgm, check if it's disabled and try the spells again. Might save you some trouble. I didn't find it mentioned somewhere else, though it may have been and I just missed it. Maybe I'm embarrassing myself, maybe I'm saving someone else from the same trouble, ah well.

 

To DBF: Love the mod. Can't wait to see what else you come up with.

For some reason I can't get the glowing mushroom stage to happen, I have one in my inventory and nothing happens. Is there a setstage command to skip or get credit for it?

alright so having issues here. having sex with a chaurus doesnt seem to be working. i do have everything setup for creature sex. fnis/sexlabs enabling creature sex ect. ran fnis multiple times.....not even sd seems to allow the fuckery with being a chaurus slave, nor defeat/ ymoyl so im nearing a loss here....

im just really....not sure whats changed from before

Just finished the chaurus queen quest line, great mod overall but I can't figure out how does the chaurus claw and the spriggan curse works, the claw seems to summon itself when I have the queen armor and the chaurus helmet equipped and I enter in combat but it doesnt always summon in battle so I dont know if I'm missing something. About the Spriggan curse I don't really understand how it works overall,

How i understand it 

1. your not infected with other stuff (i belive this as you can have the curse as the chaurus queen but will never get spriggan armor)

2. the curse is the powers not armor meaning you can be infected with a diffrent parasite but have the spriggan curse powers stacked on top of that

3. if #1 is met being in water or the rain "progresses" the curse meaning you getting the spriggan parasite armor

4. (this was confirmed) having the curse dosent make you in spriggan faction (as of yet its in the works) the spriggan auto power that calms creatures or calls nearby ones to your aid does tempo make you in their faction

5. its very underdeveloped as its the latest paraite in this so expect it to not feel fleshed out and many focal points as so far its mostly cosmetic (every armor bit just gives resist poison) has basic spriggan powers.

From the sounds of it, its going to get its own queen variant (super parasite i'll call it) and i already asked about hybrid queen.

I'm impressed, DeepBlueFrog, with your developing a complete lifecycle for the chaurus that can involve the player. Well done.

 

As the hiphugger creature pumps semen into the player's vagina, have you considered creating the rest of its lifecycle? Perhaps pregnancy and laying eggs that have a different appearance from chaurus eggs and hatch with small hiphugger creatures? Or small versions of the eggs resembling those from the Alien movie that grow, then hatch with full size hiphugger creatures? Or perhaps the player's pregnancy results in small, live offspring that have a quick maturation period?

 

If the player had to go to some lengths to keep these things from spreading and taking over Tamriel (not necessarily controlled by the mod, but by the player doing a lot of creature slaying), I personally would consider that a bonus.

 

I realize any of these would take a lot of effort, but I also know that if it's of interest to you, you'd do a great, creative job with it.

I'm sure others would enjoy that route, and if DeepBlueFrog has any interest in developing my idea in that direction, he can certainly do that. However, imo, a virtual copy of the chaurus queen lifecycle lacks creativity, which it appears to me he has in spades.

 

Personally, I would prefer that hiphuggers, like parasites in the real world, infest unwilling hosts, who are its victims. Maybe down the road but I have enough on my plat at the moment.

 

For now, the face and hip huggers lifecycle is fairly simple - I envision they lack an organ similar to a liver/kidneys and need to latch on to a host from time to time to use their liver and kidneys and purge toxins. The byproduct of that process is a thick, milky, alcoholic liquid they end up pumping into the host.

 

Nothing nefarious there. No runaway reproduction. No mind control. Just helpless creatures who try to survive by enrolling help by force

edit: idk about me but like what if someone wants to use YA with this (i tend to keep my custom races to a minimum when i use them)

Sorry if this has been mentioned already, but the the Chaurus Queen quest "have sex with..." loophole where you can progress by eating the eggs seems to work before you have actually reached that part in the quest line. In fact it triggers before you have even started the quest. Since it triggers a bunch of transformations if you do it in the proper point in the quest line, I assume that eating them too early (which is easy to do if you aren't willing to cheat on alchemy recipes) breaks the quest.

Make sure you have the latest version only.

 

I double checked that code and I cannot see any way it could happen again.

alright so ive had some issues with the spriggan parasite. and using the additemmenu mod i saw there was multiple versions of each pieces. now using that mod to get the individual pieces of armour i noticed i could only seem to equip one of the two piece per armour slot. it might not exactly be the issue for all or many for that matter but with the mod as setup as i can i crash when normally or using mcm being infected with the spriggan parasite. what i think might be happening is the coding is nto going to the correct item. the issues before using the mcm to infect myself specificly was having issues with the body and mask. i do not know if i narrowed anything down but in the meantime ive been enjoying myself with sacrificial spriggan mod. 

 

*du note, even with bare minimum mods for parasites the issues was still there*
