My ghost pepper plant is still growing. Still no peppers. Based on the size of the plant it might as well be a giant beanstalk. I have read that ghost pepper plants do grow much bigger than your typical jalapeño plant.

Been practicing archery lately. I bought a really nice recurve bow with an 80 pound draw weight. It’s a lot of fun.

This is "old man speak," but it seems to me that so many horror movies these days are either comedy-horror, gross-out gore-fests or "is it real or is it all in in the protagonist's imagination?" Guess I could have just as easily put this in the Rant thread.

Had a guy nearly kill himself while trying to pull the string back while at the local archery range. He lost his grip on the bow, and it nearly smacked him in the face.

So I just watched Come and See (1985) and I was fine for like 20 minutes until I took a shower and now I'm crying.

Man.... My 14 jeep Cherokee broke on the morning of July the 4th, transfer case came undone/exploded, $3200.oo for a used one with as many miles on it as mine was all I could find/afford.

Still without wheels day 16 and have any of my neighbors noticed, stopped, asked if I needed anything from town, 75 mile round trip, hell no.

Guess I'll be one of those geezers you hear about that fell in their home and died that was found when the mail can't fit in the mail box anymore.

Ouch, well.... I will notice that you aren't posting much, so other than asking Eva if she heard from you.  We won't know much.   I am still trying to pay off a $3500 car repair on my 2016 sedan

Some people online think that Rogues in Dungeons & Dragons need an extra attack per turn to match the damage output of other martial classes but I'm not sure how I feel about that. I am well aware that some Rogue subclasses already get an extra attack once per battle but it just prolongs combat encounters and is realistically quite risky. If the class needs more damage just add more damage. Either that or add status effects kind of like the creators did with the 2024 Cunning Strike feature.

 

The point of having different classes is having different playstyles. We don't need every class to be like the fighter.

I certainly have not run the numbers, but I imagine Sneak Attack puts Rogues on par with, or ahead of, most other martial damage dealers. Maybe Paladins can beat them with all the Smiting, if the Paladin still has spell slots to Smite with. I can speak only to 2014, but the thing about Sneak Attack compared to Smite is that it uses no resources. If you're playing in a game with abundant Long Rests, then Paladins shine more.

 

That's my take. I'm sure someone has run the numbers and no doubt there are vids that "prove" <fill in the blank> class is the best martial damage dealer (a classification in which I include Rangers and Paladins, and obviously the 1/3 casters). And again, I have no idea how the 2024 changes might have affected all of this. I will probably never play 2024.

My fiancé and I have been rewatching the Jurassic Park and Jurassic World movies, and we just finished the second JP movie. I never understood why people hate it so much. Yeah, it wasn’t as good as the first, but I still enjoyed it.
