arpaschad Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 The only thing I could think of is wearing sandals over socks...or wearing crocs... or not using the metric system...or maybe fapping off to videogames and anime...what do you guys think? does it differ in many cultures, and nationalities? for example what is generally frowned upon in your country but is acceptable in others?

DeathToCaesar Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 ireland. Being a bigot of any sort is severely frowned upon by most people, with the exception of fringe religious headers. There's no stigma attached to teen pregnancy, suicide, any of those things here anymore, and when there was it was usually in the proximity of the church.
GimmeBACON Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Being an "asshole", not smiling, not going with the flow, making others look bad by excelling them... People frown at you when you're not a mindless drone.
AKM Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 Being a single parent Being a "home maker" ie, the parent that is not gainfully employed, spending the entirety of their time on raising the children, housekeeping, etc. Question: If you're both working, who is raising your children? (???) Another of society's wonderful cockups. Just another example of how family planning went out the window a LOONNNGGGG time ago.
NickNozownik Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 Getting high as fuck by overdosing/mixing 100% legal medicine. You can just go there and buy it, but other people will whine about it. Or carrying any type of shank with you. It can be used just for opening beer bottles, but other people will think that you'll murder them on sight. People are fucking dumb.

Jazzman Posted October 5, 2016 Posted October 5, 2016 At home? Well, talking English. Not to get grounded we must perform God's own language, Spanish that is, what else?
Darkening Demise Posted October 5, 2016 Posted October 5, 2016 Being a ****ing white male? A man checking out a woman without her permission? A man speaking to a woman without her permission? Its hard to know what's OK and what's not in Tumblr Murica, other countries are lucky to not deal with it all.

Its hard to know what's OK and what's not in Tumblr Murica, other countries are lucky to not deal with it all. Be attractive and charming and that isn't a problem... It's a harsh double-standard.

Kendo 2 Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 What is 100% legal but carries a social stigma? Having a sense humor. Questioning authoritarian bullshit when it's obvious they're wrong, biased, or when they are pushing an agenda. Shitlord trolling SJWs, 3rd wave feminists, and low-information types in general. Using facts instead of emotions to prove a point. You are David Seaman. Saying anything bad about FO4, no matter how true it is. Having a sense humor. Disagreeing with anyone who is morally superior to you...in their own eyes anyway. Not caring that Kim Kardashian got robbed of insured jewelry she didn't own to begin with. Not believing that Laci Green’s words are law. Being white, being a man, being straight...in that order. Doubting Anita Sarkeesian’s intentions. Acknowledging Globalism as a 'thing'. Not caring about social media. Knowing what you’re talking about. Having a sense humor. Having a carbon footprint larger than Leonardo DiCaprio's private jet. You are ‘alt-Right’. Laughing at Tumblrinas. You are Pepe or Harambe. Reading WikiLeaks and actually being able to understand what you’re seeing. Not being vegan. Having a sense humor. Thinking that this post won't be deleted.
Guest Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 Why should it be deleted? And, it is a strange sense of humor, writing three times that one of the legal-with-stigma things is Having a sense of humor.
Kendo 2 Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 Why should it be deleted? Uhum...because it violates the all-inclusive and totally arbitrary 'no drama' rule? EDIT: There's no determining what you guys will delete and what you won't. It's totally a crap shoot as far as members posting goes.
Guest Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 Why should it be deleted? Uhum...because it violates the all-inclusive and totally arbitrary 'no drama' rule? I don't see anything in your post that is drama. And I agree with many of your line (some of them I have no clues of what they are related to, especially when you use names of "famous" people. So probably myself don't giving a shit about what this "famous people" is doing makes me carry a social stigma.)
bjornk Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 Saying anything bad about FO4, no matter how true it is.From my experience, that is/was also the case for DA:I and TW3, well, at least here on LL. Funny thing is, I remember myself getting a lot of hate for openly saying that the four button dialogue system of FO4 was shit when we saw the first trailer. People were like "you haven't even played the game yet!". A year later even the developer agrees that it's shit. Well, clearly some of us have better judgment than others.
Kendo 2 Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 Oh for fuck's sake please don't let this thread devolve into something the staff can use as a flimsy excuse to censor open dialogue. The topic is 'what is legal but bears a stigma'. EDIT: I guess 'Having a sense of humor' was wasted typing, even though I repeated it four times in one post.
