maybe if your lucky you can find another mod that replaces that texture so you can base yours off of it, with all the 2-4k mods around someone must have replaced it before.

There's nothing wrong with the texture, it just has a fully transparent alpha map for some reason, but since the mesh doesn't have an Alpha property, it's ignored and only the standard texture underneath shows up. Saving the file as RGB8 (or B8G8R8X8 if using the latest versions of Paint.Net) should get rid of it; alternatively just painting the alpha channel white (aka fully opaque) should do the trick.

Also yes, anthro prawn/shrimp are apparently a thing, and I was pleasantly surprised by it (tho that has a fair bit of shark in it). I got them through Discord so I'll have to track down the source and see if there's more (hopefully there will be a lady prawn somewhere).

 

Also also, inb4 Sly tracks down the whole artist's work in less than 5 mins without me having to ask, lol.

I think someone reported something like that already, but I have no idea why that would happen. My main YA file is 100% straight out of the standard download, and none of the custom tweaks I have touch anything related to hairs or scars. I'll double check but as far as I can tell all the meshes and textures used for the FaceGen data are included in the main mod file.

I take it that's a texture replacer for the vanilla generic "open book" mesh? I know readable books can have pics, but that's not the standard reading interface and I don't think you can actually read the text on the books outside of it.

 

Speaking of books, something I'd like to see is furryfied books. Chances are most vanilla books won't have much stuff that could be changed, but maybe we could go through all of them and see if there's anything that could be tweaked, e.g. mentions of characters being human changed to them being anthros, or randomly changing character's races to their species (replacing "the Nord" with "the wolf", or "that Dunmer" with "that panther", for example).

 

Also editing the custom unique covers from Book Covers, of course, but I don't think there's many with characters on them (if any), so unless we do the same as the signs and add yiff for the sake of it (which TBH I wouldn't be particularly against), I'd say that's even less of a priority.

 

Last, but not least, your image gave me an idea for a hypothetical new YA-added book that would be like Experimentation in the Physicalities of the Werewolf but for all the different races (and less forced-y and lethal for the subjects-y). Basically like an anatomy book (or series of books) detailing specifics about each race/species biology and anatomy. With pictures, of course. Some of them perhaps lewd. Probably. But not all of them, as some would need to be more serious and actually depict their anatomy like biology textbooks do. But some others yes.

If you want, you can just use images on the books and type the text in Photoshop or whatever you want to use (I used Photoshop) and it works reasonably well. You have control over font and spacing that way too

 

I actually edited all the books in the vanilla game to include furry pron and a short story for each image. Took like a month to do, but it's possible. Also worth it, because now every book I find in game contains a fun surprise.

 

One word of advice I will give is that the maximum size for an image is 471px high and 296px wide, and you need it to be at that size for it to be centered on the page. HOWEVER, it seems that despite this, parts of the image near the center of the book, where the spine is, get kinda cut off. So you don't want your image or text to go edge-to-edge, always give it a bit of a buffer. I don't remember the exact measurements I used so I'd recommend doing a test book with some trial and error before you fully commit to changing every book.

 

LAST THING, Creation Kit doesn't like you editing too many books at once apparently. Mine tended to crash every 50 books or so, so once you get to that stage save often.

Not sure what to do with the more yiffy standing stones. I want to incorporate some of this into the base mod but the closer they are to porn the more I feel they shouldn't go into the base because that is intended to be safe for people who don't want to sex up their skyrim. So I might not want to put the erect thief and horse in there, though the unaroused versions I think are fine. 

 

Could also make them available in the Schlongs file, like the load screens.

 

I'll load them up as their own things, anyway, like the current signs file.

In other news, I noticed that most of the reachmen are hostile in the game (unless you do the Markarth quest) so I was thinking (more than thinking since I started it last night) Of making a small settlement for the reachmen, where they are less hostile, something the size of Ivarstead or so. But i dont want it to break lore too badly, so thinking of a way to make it work, currently building it out in the reach (makes sense) But as you guys know building towns/houses in CK is super annoying, I was wondering if anyone knows of any town mods or something that have their assets as free to use?

I think non-hostile Reachmen is perfectly lore-friendly, like the guy up at Karthwasten, for example.

I think the "standard" textures can go into the main download, as none of them are too explicit and only show "casual" nudity at most just like the statues. The "Yiffy" version would have to be separate or be part of the SOS file at most, though.

Alright, but what would you want to start with? Books where it would make sense for them to have explicit stuff on the cover or the inside (e.g. the Real Barenziah)? Or just books where the title lends itself for some naughty cover art, regardless of appropriateness?

As Bad Dog said, friendly Reachmen makes total sense. They're a group of people just like any other, and while seems like most ones are part of the Forsworn, they might as well want to keep some of their roots while co-existing with the Nords and/or the Empire instead going all berserk on them (and die trying) like the Forsworn do.

Can pretend it's always been there since Arena, or maybe say it was abandoned at some point long before the events of Skyrim (as it being missing from Skyrim itself would point out) but it was taken over and rebuilt by a group of Empire/Nord-Friendly Reachmen that wanted to get away from the other violent Reachmen, i.e. Forsworn.

Might be a little off, in that there really isn't any kind of Forsworn building set, so the obvious choice would be the standard village. But that could easily work, since maybe this would technically be a group of Forsworn that don't have much problem with Nords, and maybe don't see them very much, perhaps due to it being a place that most Nords or others, rarely would go. Maybe a little isolated(if the mapped location in Arena fits at all into Skyrim's map).

I think the mentioned want was for a name for the village, which perhaps your suggestion will work in several ways. 

 

As for a quest idea, maybe it could start in a few ways. Either you find the village outright, in which case it is fairly welcoming, but eventually you are asked to do...something(hang on). Otherwise, you could perhaps talk to, perhaps a Nord, in either Karthwasten or Markarth, who can tell you of this village, give you a bit of the history, suggesting that it was destroyed some time ago(or maybe something else, other than the obvious war or conquest), and while it was originally a Nord settlement, and now a group of Forsworn have settled the land, and rebuilt the village. 

 

So what about this...

 

Find the Village First...

Eventually you might find a Nord among the Reachmen, who is wearing their trappings, and in talking with them, seems to be highly involved with their culture, religion, etc. They then at some point, assume perhaps that their parent sent you after them, and mentions that they have no intent of returning. 

 

Talk to the Nord first....

The Nord tells you that their son or daughter has recently gone missing, before or after mentioning the Village. Their child seems to have gotten involved with someone from the village, and recently, has left (insert either of the mentioned locations above here), and seems to have no intention of returning. They task you with perhaps finding and bringing them back, if possible. 

 

Not entirely sure where to take things in either case, but obviously I wouldn't want to assume the idea is of interest just yet.

 

Otherwise, a thought on my mind is to suggest that the village has a leader(or otherwise well-respected and knowledgeable one that the village can equally turn to), a fairly shamanistic character that could easily be a, well, futa character, and could possibly be involved in the possible quest.

Thats a good point, I mean Im thinking books that have more adult nature, maybe we could even add/expand their stories/research, like things on certain creatures, or races, dragons ect.  Make it a wide variety so everyone can get into it. 

 

I'll do one book, see how it goes, and start from there, any requests what i should do first? (anyone)

I do have some, though whether I can help would depend on what you want to do and how complex it gets, lol.

Oh npc's would be cool, why not, I'm finding so long as CK doesnt crash working with yiffy age, placing NPC's is pretty easy, giving them beds/routines/ect is pretty easy and straight forward. (or alternatively the settlement could be empty aside from like 3 NPC's and the goal is to repopulate it with a few reachmen around skyrim, which would be easy to place that was a quest idea- annd the rest of the settlement could be follower friendly, and allow you to populate/assign duties.)

 

 

-So far the village is using skyrim assets, which I guess we all deem as free use when modding in CK, ill look around tonight see if there is any other free to use assets for towns/castles that'll make it look better, ill post screens of what i got going on so far tonight-
