I really liked it & i use to play re4 since I was 12 (2005) on gamecube and I own all the classic re games on my ps3

im excited about it (even tho i dont even have current gen)

Wasn't RE HD REmaster a smash success, broke all kinds of sales records for the company, and bought them a shitload of good will from the gaming community? Is this really the message they took away from that?

 

On the bright side... at least it's not a Pachinko game.

The HD remasters of the original PS1 games were smash hits cause they kept all the elements people loved while improving the controls. From watching videos and reviews/critiques, RE6 was trying to be like 9 different genres, with none of them being horror or survival.

Saw this as well and was not happy. People have been trying to get Capcom to take Resident Evil back to its survival horror roots, and they went in the complete opposite direction. Instead of going back to the survival horror roots of Resident Evil, they went the indie first person jump scare direction instead.

 

From what I have been hearing, it doesn't even have any of the main characters in it. Completely new character, and even GHOSTS. I mean, wtf ghosts? Really? Resident Evil has always been about viruses causing zombie outbreaks, and now we have ghosts?

 

Yeah definitely not happy with this one. This will be the first Resident Evil game that I won't play or buy. At least I can still look forward to the Resident Evil 2 Remake and then Nemesis. But this, I... I don't even.... it's not Resident Evil at all.

No,Resident Evil is undead and now it is mutating due to a new strain of the T-Virus.It might be back stronger than ever but in a form that many who loved it will not recognize nor accept as their former loved one.

I remember playing RE1 and RE2 back on playstation 1 (20 years ago or something like that?). Back then those kind of games were incredibly amazing, there wasnt much to compare them in that genre.

Didnt play any other of the RE releases untill i tried RE revelations, wich i loved.. a lot. Specially the raidmode! I know "purists" insist that RE revelations series have nothing to do with original RE series, but i still liked it a lot!

Tried playing some previous RE i missed but after so many years, so many games, there was no way i could get used to the "turret action" style (when you shot you have to stay still), so no RE3, RE4 or RE5 for me. I didnt even bother with RE6 because my brother in law showed it to me and i couldnt understand why you had to play like 2 mins and then 5 watch mins of scenes. 

Anyway, i was so excited when they released RE revelations 2 .... such a dissapointment to find out that the features i found great on its previous release Capcom completely destroyed them on its successor. Story mode was good but Raid mode stank.. a lot..  

 

 

I try not to judge games by its trailer because often they do not look alike the real gameplay, but in this case i think they went into the "survival" stuff as many other recent games. Reminded me a bit of silent hill

People fail and constantly forget to realize that they base their judgements and accusations on what other people/ general society think of a game. A game can be "Shit" to many but as long as you like the game who the hell cares? As long as you have fun with it to me that's worth the money.

Maybe i should cut BGS some slack. I mean, sure they whore their games out to whatever fad is popular at the time, but the "Murder Hobo Adventures" parts stays consistent, even if ever dumbing down.

 

This only seems to have the title common with the series, it's been EA'd good, and yet doesn't involve EA in any way :o

Resident Evil is 3rd Person games, or some use long view camera.

Now it became 1st Person jump scare games.

 

I think, better than make it RE 7, they should make this became the new Silent Hill.

RE is Zombie games with heroes and villains do cools act. Silent Hill is mystery and ghostly.

 

Due note, the demo isn't bad, just wrong implemented/title.

Here are few confirmed informations about RE 7

 

 

  • It releases on 24 January, 2017
  • It's coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC
  • It's in first-person
  • It's VR-compatible (at least PlayStation VR,)
  • It's set after Resident Evil 6, in the present day (after 1 June, 2017?)
  • It takes place in a "derelict plantation mansion in rural America"
  • There's a free demo out right now, exclusively for PS Plus subscribers, called "Resident Evil 7 Teaser: Beginning Hour"
  • No demo for Xbox One or PC yet
  • The demo is not part of the main game - it merely acts as a playable teaser

 

 

I will withhold my judgement about RE7 until I see some gameplay from proper RE7 not PT.
But if whole game will focus on playing hide&seek with infected (since "zombies " after RE6 are basically infected from 28 days later) then I think I will pass...
A few months ago I booted up RE1 remastered and the men I was really hoping they would bring back RE to its roots but not the kind of roots they did show....

 

I mean I took a few screens while playing and they are basically oozing with old RE atmosphere and eeriness

played the teaser demo it felt different but thats not  really a bad thing because RE4 was different and that was really good! im going to wait until they tell us more about the game before i make my judgement on the game

 

but i like the new direction its going in..
