Guest ffabris Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 Huh - that's very odd, since there's no check for SexLab there. BUT ... SexLab does have the most recent version of PapyrusUtil, so that might be why.
rhyme Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 maybe true, but i only started skyrim a month ago, so generally very little has changed. dont think my papyrus mod shows needing update either. but yeah, kinda thought it was there. either way, cool beans
Grey Cloud Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 I'm thinking respawns. Are there any mods already out there which let you control if and when respawns take place? Had a quick look but couldn't find anything. (Yes, I'm looking at you 3 wolves outside Riverwood). Still having weird and wonderful things happen with this faction malarchy: skeletons attacking draugr; anyone and anything attacking bandits. Imperial patrol with prisoner walks into Ivarstead and takes on the local guards. Imps killed their prisoner and were in turn killed by the guards.

Had a quick look but couldn't find anything. (Yes, I'm looking at you 3 wolves outside Riverwood). Not aware of any way to control that. For some of my mods, I enable/disable specific predators, just to keep them out of the way at certain times. But yes, that's specific ones. Still having weird and wonderful things happen with this faction malarchy: skeletons attacking draugr; anyone and anything attacking bandits. Imperial patrol with prisoner walks into Ivarstead and takes on the local guards. Imps killed their prisoner and were in turn killed by the guards. Haha... I recently tried a settlement mod. Nice build, but as soon as I arrived, half the town attacked me. Presumably they had bandits (or some other faction) hard-coded as enemy. So I removed the mod...
Grey Cloud Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Thanks ffabris. I run SIC which allows you to set min and max respawn periods but it doesn't allow for stopping them. I don't have a problem with things attacking me when they shouldn't. Maybe it's bandits, I don't have them as friends. Even vigilants didn't attack me when I had vampires and daedric creatures as friends. Vigilants seem pre-occupied with eliminating mudcrabs at the moment. I did get attacked by a fox the other day - caused a CTD. Not had any problems with them since. Another funny one is the Forsworn (friends) near Kolstegger(?) Mine - every time I come down the road a bunch of them rush out and slaughter the chickens near the house. Are they trying to impress me?
Pfiffy Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Some of my followers start to kill goats. Well I guess, this feature needs a bit of tweaking....

I mean... everyone loves chicken right? It sounds like your playthrough is a lot of fun. Weird, but fun. I don't have any issues with Manipulator, but then again, I don't use the friend factions from it. I made a quaint lil' bat file ages ago with the factions I want to be friends with.

Guest ffabris Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 5.8 is up ... New: Added MS07BanditFaction and MS07BanditSiblings as part of bandit factions (handles Broken Oar Grotto). New: Option in Hacks to block Daedric Artifact quests from hijacking the game. Currently handles: DA03 (A Daedra's Best Friend), DA07 (Pieces of the Past), DA10 (The House of Horrors), DA14 (A Night To Remember) NOTE: Some of these trigger on location change event and may have already started before you disable them; DA10 is one such. New: Option in Hacks to prevent Dawnguard attacks, if you added yourself to Vampire factions.

I mean... everyone loves chicken right? Maybe goat tastes like chicken? I was running a mod (the name escapes me) which allowed you to dicky about with factions before ffabris added this to Manipulator. I uninstalled that mod but I'm thinking that mayhap I should have set everything back to default before I did. Could it be that I've still got some things changed by that mod? Came across another 3-way fight tonight: Skeleton Thalmor Mage, Undead Blade Operative and Vampire Nightlord (a bit early for Halloween I thought). There was a Storm Atronach but I think it might have been conjured up by the Thalmor mage. No idea what is producing skelly Thalmor or undead Blades. Definitely my favourite play-through this. No quests in my journal, more money than I know what to do with, weapon and equipment more than adequate so I spend most of my time running around the countryside (think Julie Andrews in the Sound of Music) and only go into town when I need to use the facilities. I've been coming across a fair few dead vigilants over the last week or so. Discovered tonight that they are still wearing novice robes - I'm level 65 and even bandits are wearing decent gear and hefting decent weapons.

Actually, I think it is more down to the specific combination of factions you set as friends. Definitely my favourite play-through this. No quests in my journal, more money than I know what to do with, weapon and equipment more than adequate so I spend most of my time running around the countryside (think Julie Andrews in the Sound of Music) and only go into town when I need to use the facilities. johnjet Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 5.8 is up ... New: Added MS07BanditFaction and MS07BanditSiblings as part of bandit factions (handles Broken Oar Grotto). Noooooooooo. I just murdered all the hunky bandits in Broken Oar Grotto, as I couldn't have them follow me or be my sex friends. Good to know for my next play through.
Grey Cloud Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 Wow. Fighting a draugr overlord and he used the Sound of Music shout on me - Doe-A-Deer.
Pfiffy Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 Well, I think this faction thing makes a lot more fun if the cratures have their own voice sets... It would be fun to listen to draugr's at small talk. It is too bad, that it refuses to work with the Judgement wenches (for me at least) There is a suggestion for the Hacks... I would like to see an option wher you could add a single skill tree instead of all of them. other factions to add might be the Graybeards and the Blades... Is it possible to add the Thieves Guild/Dark brotherhood... Just to get around the Quests?

Blades will also leave you alone, no? (I never did that quest, since I refuse to to kill Parthurnax... but they never attacked.) Same with the others you mentioned. The idea of "friend factions" is simply so that they will leave you alone rather than attacking on sight.

Grey Cloud Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 Coming soon to a gaming rig near you - Skyrim The Musical.

Possibly, if you kill Parthurnax. No idea really. Coming soon to a gaming rig near you - Skyrim The Musical. Brilliant! I'd love that.
ButchDiavolo Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 you know... there is a mod called The Paarthurnax Dilemma that avoids causing problems with the Blades and the Greybeards.

Guest ffabris Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 you know... there is a mod called The Paarthurnax Dilemma that avoids causing problems with the Blades and the Greybeards. I know. I never bothered with it as you can avoid being forced into the "Kill Parthurnax" quest by completing the civil war quickly, and thus never doing "Seasons Unending" - and thereafter, just avoid the blades, which suits me fine. Let's not forget 'Guys and Trolls', 'The High-King and I' and for all those harem lovers out there 'Seven Brides for One Adventurer'. Didn't ALW do a musical called 'Sabre-Cats'?
Guest ffabris Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 Another fun discovery... thanks to Skyrim Unbound, and Manipulator, I got both Hadvar and Ralof into my harem (never tried them before). Well, unlike all others I tried before, they will talk to each other. o,O
