They know who they are selling this game to so there will be some sex appeal in there. All this micro pc aggression shit is just at a high level because of the election cycles. This time next year tracer will probably have a bigger ass and show it more often too and nobody annoying will care because they will be aggroing against trump and other controversial figures around the world.

The apologetic tone was frankly disgusting, and the lines like "we will try better next time" cleary admits that this pose was "something wrong". This is unacceptable. If the response was something like "You brought up some good points about the pose not fiting tarcer character and personality, we noticed it before and were working on new better one as a replacement, thank you for your feedback" then noone would prob care.

The motivation to push that agenda comes from a greater desire for money and power from those in charge of things and the fight for survival to keep their gravy train from being derailed. If there were no SJW's or boohoo emos out there, how else would they sway the average dumbass? every fringe group and "minority" is being used by the unelected underbelly to stay in power. There is no fighting the trend though and since everything ends eventually we will finally be free of this butthurt society garbage someday it just won't be pretty. I'm just glad I don't have any kids stuck in the current mis-educational system.

A good deal of the problem is the apparent catering to an incredibly small minority, as has already been pointed out. Making a change because of them against the wishes of the majority of your playerbase sends a message to that playerbase that they aren't considered important, naturally causing some backlash. Also, making sudden, unavoidable changes to content that players have spent time earning and/or unlocking is also usually a no-no (although in this particular case it's not as big of a deal because it's in beta). But besides that, there was really no grounds to the initial complaint, which borders on the absurd, so it's mind-boggling that it was even given the benefit of a reply. There's nothing sexual about the pose unless you're a strange person who can't see a woman's butt without thinking about sex. It makes you wonder how the OP manages to keep their sanity in a world where about 100% of people have butts. For emotional effect it pulls in the OP's "young daughter". "Think of the children" is not a valid excuse, especially not when talking about a T-rated game. Maybe if the OP doesn't want their child exposed to something, they should be a parent and not let their child watch and/or play Overwatch instead of calling for that content to be removed because they're too lazy to actually do their job. Plus the whole complaint is just incredibly sex-negative. We've got the position that women can only be defined by their sexuality or be entirely non-sexual, and that there's no in-between. We have that strong women cannot be sexy and that sexy women cannot be strong. We have that showing sexuality immediately completely devalues a female character. That fast people can't be sexy. That silly people can't be sexy. Kind people can't be sexy. Good friends can't be sexy. And, obviously, a woman's butt is obscene and should be kept hidden. All of which are just wonderful messages to send to your young daughter, I'm sure. The absurdity of the actual complaint probably reminds people of similar past absurdities. Such as "video games cause real-world violence". Or, more recently, "equal-opportunity video game violence causes real-world violence against only women". Resident Evil 5 was accused of being racist for depicting mostly black people in Africa. The Witcher 3 was accused of being racist for depicting mostly white people in what was essentially medieval-era Poland. Recently, DOAX3 was accused of not including enough "persons of color", because asians are white now, apparently. "Butts make me uncomfortable, remove them" is just another addition to the annoyingly long string, and the fact that it was actually listened to makes it worse. But the precedent is the worst part, because now Blizzard needs to remove anything that makes anyone uncomfortable, which is why the dev didn't just backpedal the next day, he turned the bike around and activated the rocket boosters, claiming that the previous post was "unclear" (in the sense that nothing in it but the first sentence was true) and that they actually were planning to do this for a while now and it just so happens that it gets announced right after people a person or two decided to complain about it, honest. Some people don't want to give money to someone that not only changes their mind on a whim but lies about it the next day, and it doesn't change that the precedent actually exists, even if Blizzard is going to pretend it doesn't, and the question therefore remains as to what could theoretically change next. It very well could be nothing at all. But the door has been opened. So, yeah, it's a minor thing. But it ignores the majority of players in favor of a minority, shakes trust in the developers, and pushes a strong sex-negative and, frankly, anti-women position. Also the following phrase was uttered in an anti-sexuality argument with no hint of sarcasm or satire: "Her body seems to be comprised of about 95% spunk." It deserves attention for that alone.

Evidently, fighting against censorship and puritanism is only a noble cause when it's left wingers calling for said censorship. I have no idea how you make this connections. I would bet that majority of ppl raging now were not even alive to participate in things you are describing. Again i see it totally oposite. We had free hunting season for atacking christianity for its bigotery to the point that adminiting that you are a christian among young ppl would prob couse a few laughs and ppl looking at you funny (and very rightfully so). Atacking left is a whole diffrent story cuz you instantly get labelled as racist, masognist or bigot yourself.
