Some time ago I found a mod for Spyrim SE called "immersive Armor Swapper". With this mod you can give clothes and armor for your custom race like e.g. YGNord an additional body shape to the normal body shape for NPCs.

Now I wonder, is there a similar mod for Fallout 4?

Have you checked BDO Hairs or Misc Hairstyles ? It could be from one of these two.

It's 'Sky 80' but I don't know what hair pack it's a part of. I have a lot of them.

looks like "vault meat hairstyle", though, I don't remember if it's called that way or what mod it belongs to..

Looking for various armor add ons. To go into further detail, I don't want a full suit of prebuilt armor, but mostly things like the chest, arms, legs type like Combat, Raider, Leather, etc. Something that can be added to a Vault suit. Its difficult to determine which armors on the Nexus are full suits, or if they come with additional pieces to equip. I'm sure theres dozens out there, so to narrow it down, whats a personal favorite might be easier to answer with.

one mod that comes to my mind and that I could suggest you, is CROSS Pre-War Cybernetics. It looks cool and is "modular".

BTW, if you are downloading mods from Nexus (which I'm guessing from your question, is positive), you can very easily see if the mod is modular or a single armor piece, (or at least I like to check that way and find it simple) by doing the following (check images below):

 

go into files section and click on "Preview file contents"

otherwise it will be plain and simple, like this

There however will be instances, where this "guide" will not help you out, that being when the mod doesn't have bodyslide files.

I do have that one, absolutely loved it. Also thats pretty helpful to know, was going to ask if there was ways to tell if armor is one solid piece or multiple pieces. Seeing the added bits works nicely.

Is there a mod out there which allows you to try on clothing without having to switch in and out of the Pip-Boy? Perhaps some kind of 3rd-person inventory screen, where your appearance updates in real time as you equip different items. Thank you!

Don't think any mod like that exists, however there are tools like "Outfit Switcher - Hotkey Loadouts", that lets you set switch between outfits without entering the pip boy. Or maybe the colored pipboy mod, but that probably doesn't really help.

 

But as I said, I personally haven't heard of such mod, there could however still be a mod like that out there somewhere.
