Verstort Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 I just thought of another reason a spell could backfire: Someone will get a set of arm-binders, and if you do not choose (as in aim good), that someone will be you! With other words, you get trapped yourself when you miss the target. That's a nice idea...not sure if you can detect a missed spell though. If you can call a script when the spell is cast, and have the spell on the target set a variable, then maybe you could wait 1-3 seconds from the spell cast and if the spell on the NPC didn't hit, and therefor didn't set a variable, then it wasn't successful? Just musing I've never played with spell scripts. Ah well, I've taken the plunge and started the 1st quest creation for the mod. This forms the start of having to keep the Daedra Lords entertained. Every 15 minutes of real time, Sanguine will make a ghostly appearance and hold a conversation with you. Nothing good or bad will happen yet...just a conversation with hints at what will happen. The Daedra Lords will go through 7 stages of entertainment with chances of bad things happening to you the less entertained they are. The stages are as follows 1. Angry 2. Unhappy 3. Bored 4. Indifferent 5. Amused 6. Entertained 7. Delighted The more devious magic used, and the more successful spells cast, the more entertained the Daedra will be. If they are not entertained expect them to amuse themselves by cursing you, casting spells on you, putting you in potentially bad positions (e.g. no weapons, no clothes, more devious devices etc) or taking direct action with you themselves. fun fun fun! However, if you have kept them entertained then they may well reward you with money, removing curses or removing devious items etc etc 15 minutes sounds a touch short. Random between 15-1:15 minutes with the average closer to 30, can run long or short randomly? Sex with devious items should count toward the goal as well, even without the magic? I mean having it short for now (testing) is fine, but if the events get interesting, making it in-game 6-24 hours would make more sense regarding the pacing of the game in general. 15 minutes just goes by really quickly if you don't use quick travel. Idea: Can you add spells to staves? Would make daedra giving you spells because they're bored a lot easier and fits the lore. Wabbajack style, with random effects, could be interesting too. If we had voices for the daedra, we could get away with them speaking to the player from the void like the daedra normally do, instead of appearing, but I'm not sure that would work with just subtitles

Whenever you meet him, he will suddenly feel the urge to make love to you. Man, Woman or Beast, Belethor doesn't care... Pros... You get a 10% discount, and all the cream you want... Cons... He likes his special toys, and might forget to remove one of them... Jewellery n Armour... - Gold ring = Reverse horny vampire ( can't remove, pray to Dibella for salvation and its removal ) --- During the daylight hours, you are plagued by Reverse, naked, horny vampires. Who ravish you and steal your clothes, they get sent back to Breezehome. --- During the night, you have 20% more strength and attack powers. I do like the idea of certain items being cursed and no way of knowing until you try them. That could really work. Nothing worse than consuming a restore magicka potion and then finding yourself gagged! How about a ritual spell that applies devices to all enemies in a certain radius, but applies every conceivable device to the player if they get staggered while trying to cast it? That might be interesting. I don't remember if staggering a ritual spell caster is something that Skyrim allows, because I usually don't play long enough on a mage character to have them, but it would certainly be an interesting risk/reward mechanic if it could be implemented simply. I think it would be possible as you could register the spell effect for an onHit update and do it from there. I've not looked at area effect spells or spells that require constant casting like wards so I'm not really sure at the moment what is possible. EDIT -------------------------- New version up that adds the Naked Dream potion. Quite a simple potion that strips the target naked for a set amount of time and locks their inventory, I needed it for an outcome when talking to Sanguine Also added various outcomes to the conversation with Sanguine. The current conversation triggered is the "Amused" conversation which means the Devious Daedra are some what pleased with you and will be nice-ish! Most outcomes are just Sanguine indulging himself and toying with you but there are some that are helpful and a few that might cause the player problems but not too difficult. The happier the Devious Daedra are they more positive outcomes there will be and less negative outcomes. The less happier they are the more problems they might cause you - but those are conversations I haven't written yet

At this point 3 or 4 other ghosts show up with whips in hand and attack Sanguine. It was a bit amusing but not what I think was intended. In the meantime my character was froze in place. I watched as each of the summoned ghosts met their end then Sanguine pulled up a seat and stared at me. lol I love the concept of this mod and realize it is a WIP so I'll report anything else I happen to encounter as well. Keep up the good work! similar to what I encountered updating the old version on a running save: had to drink a new slave potion the new version nullified the old potion effects- sanguine instantly appeared and he was angry with me and chose to punish the player sending a hostile ghost wasn't a smart idea, the sex never took place before the ghost could be killed or in my case 1 down, 1 enslaved as he sent 2 his next appearance wasn't long after so I was still busy training the ghost he sent to be my slave this time he left me with a hostile ghost wolf whom was instantly killed by followers and slaves and farkas poor wolf never stood a chance Edit: next appearance he chose to strip the player's armor and boots when the spell wears off the 2 items are GONE completely edit 2: after reloading, it repeated enough I finally reverted to earlier version

Guest Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 Maybe I'll change some of the spells so that any followers get bound so they can't help you.... cursed loot does it that way, things get so slow I end up disabling the sex attacks from cursed loot My feeling is that if you can fight your way out of a Devious Spell then more power to you, and also another reason to have a companion which also plays into other mods where followers might take advantage etc etc. Addition to the Recommended Mods list: ASIS It will integrate spells into NPC spell lists. Not sure yet if it will add potions/poisons to them as well. I think the current spells are way too overpowered to be let loose amoung the general NPC population, but some people might want to play that way i'll add it to the list. i will also be adding some custom Devious Mages to spawn/encounter lists or whatever they are called with some custom NPC spells. EDIT------------------ New version up that changes the Sanguine's appearance to 72-120 game hours rather than 15 minutes real time.

I probably won't use this unless it can be changed. It should only run every 3 - 5 in game days, unless i've done something very wrong. Are you sure you're using the right version?

Ah, my bad...I forgot to update that Now corrected to 3-5 days of in game time how hard would it be to add these to leveled lists? It shouldn't be too hard, the only reason I haven't yet is that I think that the spells currently would be too strong against the player. A single hit by something like Molag Bal's Snare and you'd be dead in a second. Having said that, I do still want to add spells to levelled lists. Think vanilla spells but with added devious items (e.g. ice spells that equip boots to slow you down etc) but nothing that is going to allow enemies to insta-kill you or disable you outright.

It is good like that, but if easily done, it might be a better solution to add these effects to the original potions with a low proc-chance.Maybe even combine the two, and create fake potions that have a higher chance of causing the devious effect and lower to cause the original effect, and normal potions with higher chance to cause the original effect and lower to the devious.(Again, possibly with MCM configuration for the chances.)

( its very powerful, and the recipe should make it so you will have limited supplies... - Drunken fool poison... Victim will strip off, when hit with poison. Refusing to wear clothing... It would solve the problem of hand placing possibly hundreds of the items into the world, but would also make it like a Deviously Cursed item, except on food instead of containers... A small enough chance, say 1%. Would be enough to make you seriously dread eating food in the game, and possibly make fights hilarious. As you spam potions, or gulp down food with terrible consequences... It would force you to rely on tactics in fights, as opposed to potion and food spamming, whilst you run and gun like a maniac...

Drink this or give to a friend or enemy to drink ( enemies... just use pickpocket to make them drink it ), then wait for the animal action. or... make your follower drink this, and kill whatever is raping her while its having fun... - Animal deathly arousal poison... Shoot or hit an animal with a poisoned item, and it will be non-stop sexing anything it see's. Duration = 10 minutes. After sex session, the victim will die and the animal will move to the next victim... This is like setting off a bomb, if used near enemies, or enemy camps. With something tough, like a troll or giant. Then hitting a few of them will demolish a group of enemies, or enemy camp... Recipe... 2 Nirnroot, 5 Snowberries. ( its very powerful, and the recipe should make it so you will have limited supplies... - Drunken fool poison... Victim will strip off, when hit with poison. Refusing to wear clothing... Duration = 10 minutes Recipe... 5 alcohol ( something strong ) or Recipe 2... 10 Jazbay grapes... Just some more crazy ideas... Diabella's key whore sounds good....bit like Sanguine's Blessing but more controlled by the player. The others really require some in depth scripting to achieve. Not impossible but maybe outside of of this mod at the moment. Keep the ideas coming though It would be nice if things like the 15 minute daedra visit could be set in MCM to be longer/shorter and the like, the more it can be configured easily the more user-friendly it is. (Not sure how it is right now.) @Krazyone's idea of un-named cursed items: I like the idea, but the game would put the fake potions/items in a different stack than the normal ones. It is good like that, but if easily done, it might be a better solution to add these effects to the original potions with a low proc-chance. Maybe even combine the two, and create fake potions that have a higher chance of causing the devious effect and lower to cause the original effect, and normal potions with higher chance to cause the original effect and lower to the devious. (Again, possibly with MCM configuration for the chances.) It would solve the problem of hand placing possibly hundreds of the items into the world, but would also make it like a Deviously Cursed item, except on food instead of containers... A small enough chance, say 1%. Would be enough to make you seriously dread eating food in the game, and possibly make fights hilarious. As you spam potions, or gulp down food with terrible consequences... It would force you to rely on tactics in fights, as opposed to potion and food spamming, whilst you run and gun like a maniac... Hmmm...I like the idea but don't really want to edit vanilla items just in case it clashes with other mods. Imagine gulping down a health potion that suddenly gags you!
Wyrade Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 I really don't know how hard or easy it is to create it for a mod, but SkyProc patcher would be able to patch already existing items like potions to solve mod clashes. ASIS has a functionality to add potions to NPC-s, again I'm not sure about how to implement it, but maybe it can be modified to add cursed potions as well / instead of normal ones, if they will be seperate items. If NPC-s might use them as they do with ASIS they might even trap themselves occasionally?

I tried sleeping for around 15 times, and yes, even there is a chance i didnt hit the 30% chance, its a little unlikely Anyone can confirm or negate ? Eskella Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 Running into two problems - a) when consuming the initial potion, I lose the ability to control my player, and Ghost Sanguine spawns and never initiates a conversation; and, if I manually restore control, then talk to Sanguine, the game crashes at the end of his dialogue chain, regardless of which event it wants to trigger. Log is giving me no indications of where the problem may lie, so I'll play around with it haha.

I'm 99% percent sure it's either a conflict or a load order issue, so I'm sending my load order file along with this reply. this mod seems fucking amazing, and I would really love to use some of these spells, so if anyone could help, I would appreciate it. Regards OK, I'll check it out. 1st time i've used the register for sleep command so maybe I've done something wrong in the code Ah ha! Seems the Waking Horror spell wasn't looping correctly so it was no longer an active effect! I have now set it up that the curse itself will last for 3 days of in game time (about 240 minutes of real time). If you can go without sleep for that long it will dispell itself. Hmm....you shouldn't lose control other than Sanguine will force greet the player so you should get locked into conversation. I know sometimes Sexlab can have trouble initiating animations and I wonder if it is triggering a group rape scene but sexlab can't find any matching animations? I can see plenty of problems. That load order was not sorted with LOOT. Several files are in wrong positions, so there is a change that conflicting ESP files are messing up with this mod. https://loot.github.io/ Also, The Dance of Death is out of date. When you next time restart your game, move to VioLens to avoid problems. Scripts from Estrus for Skyrim are a hazard for several mods in LL. If you fancy the concept, then try Estrus Chaurus+ instead. It does not require the original ESP file, or script folders - just resources. That would naturally also require starting a new game. Deviously Helpless has a script problem with current version of PapyrusUtil. It does not work correctly and can crash your game. Slorm just posted a partial fix for it in DH support thread. There might be other things that I missed.
