CBBE Armors ported from Skyrim Mods

If you are playing around with conversions, this armor seems like it would actually fit fairly well: Mercenary Armor from Immersive Armors.

I mean, in Fallout terms it would be a mix of Leather and Metal armors, made of rad-stag/brahmin hide and reclaimed steel plates. I wish I had some idea how to convert this kind of stuff, maybe try it myself.

Just wanted to point out. Gloves are A PAIN IN THE ASS! Sorry for yelling but I've been trying to do a set for 3 days now. At the point of giving up

I gave up trying to do fingers in Blender.

So I just set up gloves / hands from FO4 and retexture them.

Example with my Cyborg Ninja here

3q8QBGG.jpg

Top, reminds me to the Chinese stealth armor of F3.

Morel like Chinese stealth armor was based on the Frank Jaeger, Gray Fox from the metal gear solid.

Just a small curio

Yeah, I know MGS and that great character, it was just a point about Fallout universe.

ScarletDawn Outfit from Skyirm, perfect fit the fallout universe.  question is how can I get the porting permission if being banned by Nexus....

attachicon.gifFallout4 2016-02-29 03-47-18.jpg

You got banned? Let me guess, re-using vanilla assets from another game therefore being "illegal ported assets"?

I don't have  a great answer for your dilemma. You could make another account (not recommended and risky), ask someone else to ask for you (probably best), try to see if the person is on LL and PM here (also good), or port it and post it stating you were unable to get permission and will remove it if asked by the original author (I have one, about to be 2 like that).

Been out of town for a while, but I'm back with my new character and some new conversions that I will upload soon.

They look good. Can't wait to see them in action.

TEST TEST TEST

attachicon.gifNaughty Elf test (FO4).7z

attachicon.gifNaughtyElf.jpg

This is the Skyrim UN7B Elf Veil outfit converted to UUNP/CBBE shape then converted to FO4 shape.

Then exported in an FBX format from Outfit Studio...

Then loaded into Maya and weight painted with abWeightLifter (one of the tools from Nightasy tutorial) to the FO4 CBBE weights.

Then exported back out in a FBX format.

Then loaded back into Outfit Studio, exported as a nif file

Then I created as set of bgsm files to point in the nif that point to the textures(go figure that shit).

Then opened nif in nifskope (set material and texture path) and saved nif....

Then loaded back into outfit studio, loaded the cbbe reference, set base shape, conform to all, checked sliders for clipping saved project as.

Then Packed up as a test...

A couple of things are needed for this.

1. Create an ESP file to call the nif's in game (yeah I need to learn that FO4Edit esp creation crap)

2. convert the normal maps from skyrim to fo4 (I only have paint.net and gimp and I'm not sure how to convert a skyrim normal to a fo4 normal, been busy reading up on nif conversions).

3. Find the creator of the outfit and get permission to release a FO4 conversion....

Do what you will with this test, if someone wants to finish it... then by all means do so.

Here. It works in game. And I made an ESP. I'm a FO4Edit maniac. Lol j/k. Easy to do when you take a skeleton esp and just change some names...anyway.

attachicon.gif2016-01-12_00014b.jpg

I repacked the archive to include the ESP. Also posting it separate for those who already downloaded and like manual installs or some nonsense.

Wow I did a test of converting the normals to BC5/3DC...ewww. Not sure if that's the same format that they're supposed to be converted to but...eww

Image samples

Original normals.

attachicon.gifScreenShot11 - original normals.png

New ones after converting to 3DC

attachicon.gifScreenShot10 - new normals.png

Total loss of definition.

Like this.. I did make change or 2 to it though , bodyslot in esp to allow me more mix and match, and I also turned on the test alpha in the BGSM , and now its transparent in game as well as in nifskope :)

Would you mind posting a screen shot and your changes? I'm kind of interested about the transparency you say you got to work. when I tried it just made it invisible.

All I did was tick the box that says test alpha under general tab in material editor, on both skirt and top , left all other setting as they are. Doing this alone made it look a bit splotchy though, but I think that maybe down to poor qual texture, I adusted the colour to alpha In gimp a little, too a light grey, this seemed to help...  The transparent parts become almost invis but not quite , looks as if its covered in glitter..sparkles in right light, but leaves the pure white detailing opaque. I think with some experimenting with all alpha bits in material, textures and nif may see better results... oh and better textures :)

forgot to say I would do screenie but am not on machine with game on it nor will be for day or so. Hope my dodgy explanation helps.

Ah ok same issue I was having. Turning on the alpha like that is basically a yes/no effect. If it flags as transparent it actually is invisible. The glitter affect you're describing is from something else. I've been playing with making things translucent but everything I've found makes it look like it requires a separate mesh and using a bgem instead of bgsm.

The only truly translucent ( Stocking like) and not transparent with a colour pallet on top (coloured glass like) I have seen so far is the black stockings in the CBBE stand alone underwear mod on nexus. Dunno what they did for effect but it works... does break on occasion though , lighting breaks or sumthing.. fixed by re-equip... I am using ENB too though.. which can course issues I believe.

so im using the sevenbase inspired CBBE and most of your armors have serious clipping...is there a way past this?

I made some errors when I first made these. I know what I did and eventually will redo them so they work better with everyone's custom body sliders. As of right now, they work mainly with the base CBBE body.

Make sure to do that using CBBE 1.2. I gave it two REAL SevenBase sliders with the update. :)

I actually used the 7base sliders and loaded a fallout 4 bodyslide body into skyrims bodyslide used the 7base sliders to change the outfits body design to 7base. Made the body then loaded it into outfit studio replacing the body in it with a real 7base body. Zapped all parts to make them separate adjusted them to fit the 7base body better.

Will still have to export each piece one at a time to remove the fallout 4 stuff then resize the whole outfit at one time then run it through both the clothing converter to change body type and then mesh rigger to re add bone nodes.

Yeah, that's why I'm not in a hurry to do this, :)

@Bartholomew Roberts

Well the outfit I did came out pretty good for the outfit I ported from fallout 4 to skyrim.

Outfits that have sleeves or pants won't work very well till something like the pose converter is updated to be able to change fallout 4's pose to skyrim or any other beth game. I also used the red strap from the one texture file and added it to the other red outfit to make the outfit match in color.

Is Ada dress from RE4 exist to be ported into FO ?

mm... the mesh and texture of RE4 dress is of very low resolution.... looks ugly in FO4. The only good is the skirt physics..
