@h38fh2mf, Hey, i don't know if its possible but you might know.

I Have a Intel i7 Processor (Should have bought a i5 for gaming) and would like to know if its possible to make Skyrim run better with it, as in make it run on the multiple treads that i7 have instead of just 1 or 2 or whatever skyrim uses at the moment :)

Skyrim is actually more multithreaded than people give it credit for. Skyrim SE may introduce additional parallelism and concurrency. But in general, multithreading is not just something you can "activate". It has to built into the design, and carefully analyzed and tested to get it working correctly and efficiently. And Skyrim does already have it to some extent. Adding a hack to make Skyrim utilize more cores would almost certainly make the game less stable (and probably slower); just look at all the mythology surrounding the INI file settings for threading. People just end up with a slow, unstable, barely playable game. But they're convinced what that the INI tweaks work, so they keep adding more INI tweaks to fix the problems... it's a quagmire.

I've been having several crashes when trying to open the magic menu with certain items equipped aswell as general crashing when trying to load in or using qasmoke to try and load (50/50 each time).

Heyho,
I need some help, my game just crashed while I was waiting (the "T" waiting progress). The menu popped up, I've set a few hours to get to the next morning and after about half of them completed the game CTDed.

So, I've run into a crash after starting the dawnguard quest line. Went into dayspring canyon, got the first DG quest, but now when I leave dayspring canyon my game crashes after showing the load screen for a bit. Now even the save I made just before entering dayspring canyon won't load. It's with a character I've had for ages - done the bad thing and uninstalled and installed new mods countless times on this save, so I wouldn't be surprised if the save is borked, but here's the crash log I get when I try to enter the canyon:

Is there any way to help this character or is it time for her to retire to sovngarde?

I'm curious.  Of the people posting crashes here, are you using HDT?  Which type: HDT-PE or HDT-SMP?  I find HDT-SMP vastly more stable than HDT-PE.  That's not all I've done for stability, but I found it a huge step forward.  YMMV, but I would be surprised if it didn't improve your situation for those using HDT-PE.

I did find that switching between HDT types resulted in a single CTD during the next savegame load, but it seemed to be some kind of caching glitch that seemed OK the 2nd time I loaded up the game.  I also find that the same kind of "one time CTD" behavior when a mod updates facegendata.  Everything loads fine the 2nd time around.

Tested joining the DG on a different character - can exit Dayspring Canyon just fine afterwards. Used the console to teleport the character I was having the issue with to riften stables and then walked back towards dayspring canyon and the game crashed once i got near to the entrance.

Shit. Looks like it may be the end for my oldest character.

Well, on the topic of stability:

[...]SMP isn't properly threaded or partitioned or scheduled, and it's pretty much the equivalent of giving a doberman 2 pounds of hamburger, a laxative and sticking him in a pristine white room a half our later in regards to active memory. The injection scheme is compatible with SMP and nothing else.[...]

There's a reason why HDT SMP isn't officially released yet. SMP also doesn't like ENB in particular, though for me it runs quite stable. I do get random CTDs sometimes, mostly because of SMP but the one I've posted happened while waiting, where the script engine has more to do than HDT.

This CTD of facegendata is more interesting, mainly I get CTDs when I get to an area with many people where I haven't been yet ...

I must be the exception to the rule of HDT stability, then.  I use Tetrachromatic ENB with v305 (DataSyncMode=2, EnableUnsafeFixes=true), crashfix plugin with preloader (UseOSAllocators=1), no SKSE memory settings (crashfix does it better) and I use STEP recommendations to configure most of my INI settings.  My game is very stable.  Before HDT-SMP, my game would CTD all the time (on savegame load, on cell changes, etc.), often with direct reference to HDT DLL's in the crashdumps.  I was lucky to get 20 minutes of gameplay between CTD.  Now, when I do experience the rare CTD, I find no indication of any relationship to HDT DLL's in the dumps.  I get hours of continuous gameplay with no CTD.  I don't have any XML collision data defined, however, so perhaps that helps my game's stability?

I was tinkering a bit to better understand what was truly making my gameplay more stable.  Seems the largest contributors are the preloaded crashfix memory enhancements (instead of using those in SKSE) and using the recent ENB DataSyncMode levels above 0.  I've been running at 2 for awhile (max value), but I'm trying it out at 1 to see if I still have fewer/no CTD's.  My game is definitely more unstable at 0 (CTD when moving from internal/external cells, savegame loading after initial savegame load).

Edit: I've surpassed the 64k string count as well (251 active mods, no restringing).  Thank you h38fh2mf and markdf.

Heyho, I just had a weird CTD: After saving normally, which worked nice, I wanted to Quit to Desktop. After clicking on it, the game had a CTD before closing normally, here the info:

hey is there annyway to easly figure our which mod that makes my game crash b4 main menu ?

BEFORE main menu? Than you most probably forgot a requirement for another mod.

but all i did was reinstall perma whit ts5edit and bashpatch since my armors and wepons where messed up dmg wise

A crash before the main menu is almost always a missing requirement - either not having a mod another one needs, or having the requirement loading after the mod that requires it to be loaded first.

Try loading your entire load order again in TES5Edit. If there is an order/requirement problem it will stop and give you an error message telling you what went wrong. If you get no errors then there's a different problem and unfortunately I don't have any idea what it might be.

Honestly, I'm not sure how serious any of that is, although many mods have small errors reported that are harmless or even needed for the mod to work.

What I meant by no errors is TES5Edit successfully loading your entire mod list without stopping to tell you something is missing or in the wrong order. So if it loaded everything I don't have a clue what might be wrong. Sorry.

Oi, I just had a CTD and wanted to share the dump. It happened, when I've used a carriage from Windhelm to Riften, the load screen after enetring the carriage came up, but just before it would have ended, the CTD occurred.

Hey everyone, i thought i should share this info here about my fixed problems.. Crash fixes 12 worked excellent for me until i upgraded my graphics card to a geforce 1050.. so now my skyrim works better without it.. with crash fixes 12 installed atm i get script lag and i guess its because of how memory is handled but that is just speculation on my part..

So bottom line reason with this post is that this "crash fixes" only work for some people while it make more problems for others.. just to let you folks know :)
