Thanks for the kind words!

I have tried several times to get an overlay for the blindfold working, but it just wouldn't work. I've got an overlay texture done but no use for it.  :-/  If anybody would like to experiment with it, please see the attached file. I'm uploading this here "as is" and without support, please feel free to do with it what you like. The texture was created based on a NifScope screenshot of the DD harness gag.

/Edit: Argh, forgot the attachment:

attachicon.gifgagHarnessBall_go.7z

I had actually tried this myself when I first saw that someone had made the overlay mod. I couldn't get the blindfolds working either. The overlays mod is scripted to specifically look for helmets and the blindfold isn't considered a helmet by the game. I thought it might be possible to edit the overlays script to look for blindfolds/the blindfold slot or to update the blindfold so that they were considered helmets themselves, but I wasn't successful. I'm sadly not very good at modding. Hopefully someone manages to get it working.

Yea I was thinking the same thing, Im kind of surprised there isnt already a mod that updates that overlay mod to have it look for the blindfold slot. If I was any better at modding I'd try it myself but I dont know anything with scripting really.

i dont know if their is an equip-able mask to go with this but if their see if eye wholes match your design because in order to obstruct your vision like that the eye wholes in the mask must be very small like a ten or five cent coin.

Second attempt at the latex hood, narrower field of view, larger eye offset. Since I don't have TES5Edit, I haven't been able to test this, so I'm going to need some feedback on what's good and bad about it. If people prefer the narrower field of view and being more restricted, then this is better. I've offset the eyes more on this, which is more accurate than my first edit.

Id personally like it to be a bit wider not more narrow. It does look "cleaner" than the first one though, the first for some reason seemed off center/uneven to me. [is super ocd prolly just me]

Decreased the offset to increase primary FOV and increased eyehole size to increase total FOV.

Is this what you wanted? Since you are the only one giving me any feedback, you're the only person being catered to.

I'm not sure if you are still watching this thread Conscripted, but the larger FOV one comes up as a 100% clean screen for me. The first set you posted of the immersive limited FOV worked just fine though. I would love to see the wider set eyes one :D

And if you wanted to do that with the gasmask one as well I wouldn't complain. Basically make them overlap slightly less?

Which files specifically are you talking about?

And I believe that I already did the gasmask in this post here.

The ones that don't work are these ones. When I load them up no overlay shows up. Or rather, the overlay is found, but it loads as full clear.

And I am currently using the immersive gasmask one you linked, was just a thought on tweaking it slightly wider, but I'm getting used to the way you have it so...*shrugs*.

Oh, sorry. I misunderstood you about the gasmask. But if it's working for you, then great.

Here's a rework of the pink gimp hood. Tell me if it's clear or not, if it is then I'll rebuild it from scratch.

Still no dice :(

If you wanted to tweak the gasmask one still I wouldn't complain, but don't make it a high priority on yourself :)

Hi,

The Trapped in Rubber gasmask overlays work fine for me, using my own overlays and greyspammer's files too. Things you could check:

1) That the path is (really, really) correct. Skyrim\Data\Interface\exported\overlays\Clothes\tir_gasmask\ -- no idea if it's case-sensitive, but check for upper/lower case if in doubt. ("Clothes" is upper case in meshes folder too).

2) try replacing the gasmask_gnd.dds texture with another overlay texture renamed to gasmask_gnd.dds (a texture that you know works okay on other clothes), do this to check if the original texture you're using does not render or if the problem is somewhere else

I found that putting it into "data/interface/overlays/clothes/tir_gasmask/" works.

Data/interface/exported/overlays (etc) doesn't work properly, at least for me.

The gasmask one works great, I have just been using my TiR save to test the other overlays since it has a character permanently in a helmet that would use the overlay. Just trying to give some feedback on conscripted stuff (which is awesome btw)

Normal view: :)

According to Scrivener, the mod is *not* compatible with IFP. However, it does play nicely with Enhanced Camera (which I'm using in my game all the time). No idea about JoP, I guess it depends on how that mod treats the head node in its 1st person view.

Whats this though ? Did i mess something up ?

The debug readout being stuck on is a known issue of the Helmet Overlays mod. What seems to help most people to make the debug readout disappear is to simply load another save before starting your main playing session (like load a LAL savegame first and then your actual savegame).

I had the same problem but I knew it was IFPV so I removed that and it worked fine until I saw this thread and installed enhanced camera now the gag view doesn't work and loading older saves first doesn't fix anything.

I don't know if anybody else is having this problem. I have the overlay working but it is a little to far to the left. For a hood the left eye opening is almost going offscreen for me.

Edit: Nevermind, reloaded the game and it worked correctly for some reason.

Ill try Enhanced Camera then. Never used it before but it cant be that different.

It is. IFPV is a plugin that hacks the third person camera to disable the head-mesh from being rendered and puts the camera "in" the head.

Enhanced Camera, with all its add on parts is much more pervasive, and buggy. IFPV is exceptionally solid, and has no script load.

EC, gets its fingers in everything, and suffers from all kinds of unexpected incompatibilities.

But you have to try and see what works for you. Personally, I tried EC, and abandoned it, as it broke all kinds of things and never really did what I wanted.

IFPV's configuration file is powerful, but hard to understand. You can make it so you don't need gag overlays for example, because it is using the actual gag mesh, just as it would be rendered in third-person. But you have to appreciate the downside, IFPV's view IS third person, and so DD thinks you are in third person using it. However, it's possible to mix it with vanilla first-person for blindfold situations.

If you want to make overlays for IFPV, that's how it's done though ... you make a mesh that you can see in regular third person and make the player look through it ... this obviously has substantial limitations.

Would be super-helpful if you put some information about how this interacts with IFPV on the front page.

As the Nexus page of the Helmet Overlays states, it's not compatible with IFPV -- though before the developer apparently went AWOL, they did mention that an IFPV-compatible version was being worked on. Maybe it'll appear some day.

is helmet overlays compatible with enhanced camera?

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/57859

Otherwise the mask of shame isn't showing and i can't find which one shows the overlay and the blindfolds are enabled but not showing. do i need to go to tes5edit to make it work?

also i can't find the brindles and the pony bitgag or the penis gag

Edit 1:

the heretical mask of shame doesn't show, i remember the duderino pony bitgags were removed i think and blindfolds might need additional step on my end.

also not sure about incompatibility with enhanced camera casuing it not to show

so i have the hood overlay active, and after equipping a blindfold i still have vision!

is it possible to have  a option to show both overlays?

tried the same thing with gag and hood/gasmask.

and which item does overlay  ShameMask apply to?

I can't get this mod to do anything.  I'm not sure if it's the Helmet Overlays, or some other conflicting mod, or what.  I've looked through tes5edit and everything looks right, I just get no overlays whatsoever.  Has anyone run into this?
