This mod looks like it just has a basic script file and the overlay files.  Is the issue making the overlays compatible with DD5.0 SE?

I'm a "modding newb" as well, so take this advice with a grain of salt. This mod works fine with me on 1.6.640. However, I had to tinker with it for it to work. The SE version uses a slightly different file directory for its overlay file storage. What I did was change the folder structure from

 

D:\Downloads\Devious Helmet Overlays (Data).zip\Data\Interface\exported\overlays

 

to

 

D:\Downloads\Devious Helmet Overlays (Data).zip\Data\Interface\overlays

 

 

I changed the folder structure to remove the "exported" folder so the structure skips straight into the overlays folder. Otherwise, the devious overlays will be separated from all the other helmet overlays. After that, just install the "Devious Helmet Overlays (Data)" file as usual. Also, don't forget to install the script file as well!

Lol, someone ought to put out a version for SE which just has the folder structure changed, to save people the trouble of having to manual install. I've never had to manually install a mod before this one.
