Dreamweaver Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 Can you help me out. I'm sorry about asking this but can you guys tell me what to do about the skin? Cause everytime lets say i put on a different dress or harness from the harness mod the skin is all messed up and the texture is super weird looking on them. Like some times on their skin there is splotches or bullet holes in them. What you're describing is exactly how the mod is supposed to be working at this point, because it's still in alpha and none of the clothing and armour in the game except for the harness will work with it. It says this in the post on page 7 where you downloaded the files. Outfits that replace the body will have ugly textures anywhere skin is showing (and the body will be the vanilla shape of course) When you equip an outfit you also equip a body that is included in the outfit mesh, leaving you with a vanilla body using CBBE textures. Only the harness will work for CBBE at the moment, because it's the only outfit converted so far. When the mod is ready for a full release the other outfits will be included, and will be able to be built in bodyslide to match our custom bodies. Until then, it's just the harness, and we just have to be patient and wait.
Joosey Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 So I installed CBBE_Fo4_alpha_v0_2a and BodySlide_Fo4_alpha_v0_3a (no other body mods) and this is what I get in-game when I'm naked? Anyone know what's causing it? This is my mod-list: Avelyn, i've personally run CBBE with pretty much all those mods and i can confirm they do not interfere at all, the only issue would be (from your screenshot) it looks like you did not build the body in bodyslide. You should install the bodyslide files somewhere easily found outside the game to run the executable from there. Dont Use NMM to install.. Thats your problem. You have to manually install them... i use ModOrganizer2 and it works fine for me. just when you deactivate the mod (to update it or don't like it) exit out of the ModOrganizer and reopen it to uninstall it so you can reuse the save game. Either way. The problem in screenshot is the mesh isnt being loaded but the texture is. Also, the default package for CBBEalpha includes body mesh as well as the textures. You dont HAVE to run bodyslide. If you really want this to work. Read the instructions, it says to manually install the files to the data folder of fallout4 directory. Then enable CBBE.esp. Then enable the files to be loaded by adding yadda yadda yadda to the ini file, which is a prerequisite to installing ANY mod. If you don't know how to install basic textures mods or replacers. Then yall should learn to do that first! BTW not trying to be a dick, I'm just kind of blunt when it comes to helping others troubleshoot.
vram1974 Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 Nice pics but there's 2 problems: 1. The skin is too clean. I love that Nuclear nude mod 2. Aint nobody waxing their snatch in the post-apocalypse As a response to (1). Ubercharge has an awesome Dirty CBBE texture on this site (page 4). I just switched to that from Nuclear Thanks

Well, you're kinda being a dick when people have had this same problem even while installing the mod manually like I did or with a mod manager. I've done exactly everything you said and I started out installing it manually at first and then tried with the mod manager and neither worked.

Whether you want to accept it or not, you did something wrong or one of your mods is interfering. Considering all of us that have posted working pictures and even some people who have made their own custom edits. It is safe to assume you DID in fact do something wrong or have a conflicting mod. The instructions are there, we can't know what you did or what you have installed that could be conflicting. I will say though, you going ahead and calling someone a dick because of your inability to figure this out when its been the same way of installation since Oblivion possibly longer. There are hundreds of guides and youtube videos, this is meant as a TEST. If you can't effectively install and run the test, maybe you should just wait until release. So your feelings don't get so hurt.
assan84 Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 I have a question if anyone might be able to answer it for me. I have noticed that some use a different style of harness, and I'm aware that there are quite a few different types available on nexus, especially Calyps, I believe its called. But my question is, does Calyp's edit effect Caliende's harness included with the alpha release? And if so, how? I avoid using ESP mods so I cannot check for myself lol thank you -C If you just install the textures and meshes from cbbe then calyps clothing and the raider harness will show up in third nipple twighlight zone mode(ie the vanilla body trying to fit CBBE textures onto them. There is a work around using the Unique Player mod but like you said you dont use .esps and it uses an esp. Also without the CBBE.esp you will get a weird back of the neck texture even when viewing only the CBBE body due to some texture swapping weirdness. The only way to get the raider harness to be CBBE is to run bodyslide there isnt a .nif for it included in the CBBE Alpha. ATM they are more focussed on creating getting the mod ready for the Beta launch.
camoway Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 ya know i would make the switch if i had ONE armor for cbbe, anyone got just 1 armor???! anything? at all?? i luv you long time...

Kingkiller105 Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 do you think you or someone else could make a texture for the ghouls? because if you take their clothes off their textures are all over the place Shit, they don't even have genitals... not that that's really something I would want to see, but for the sake of realism/consistency I wouldn't mind, lol. Well they would or at least the females would if they did not have genitals how would they piss lol so im sure they do you just aint into ghouly girls~ but i mean i know some one will make a skin some time down the road but it would be nice!
Hamguy31 Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 I dont understand why Raider clothes are available but not the Original vault suit.
Leocid2 Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 I dont understand why Raider clothes are available but not the Original vault suit. Not worth the effort, if the "bodyslide" is not over.

son1c885 Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 11 days and no official release Christmas is coming soon, what you are waiting for? Release "as is", more testers from nexus = more bugreports.
KitteySenpai Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 I see a ton of people using different harnesses and I wonder how? Ive tried doing what some guy mentioned in a post about changing the .bgsm and so on but it wasnt quite in depth enough for me since I have no clue what the crap Im doing <-> Is there a possibility of anyone explaining more indepth what I have to do to get a custom harness to work?

If you read this thread completely, i think it's already been proven

Easiest way, but has downside that male raiders wearing harness miss part of their body 1. get raider mod from calyps and install. you only need texture and material folder, but if mesh folder is installed too, doesn't matter. 2. go to data\textures\armor\raider04 - rename the .dds file to raider04_d.dds 3. go to data\materials\armor\raider04 - rename the .bgsm file to raider04.bgsm 4. go to data\Tools\BodySlide\SliderSets - open RaiderHarness.osp with any text edit - replace <Slider name="BodyZap" invert="false" default="100" hidden="true" zap="true"> with <Slider name="BodyZap" invert="false" default="0" hidden="true" zap="true"> and save file. when you open bodyslide now, you should see modded raider.

If you read this thread completely, i think it's already been proven Indeed, is Alpha... and we have lots of lots of people that just registered to flood the topic asking how to install. I could be wrong, but the idea of alpha version is find bugs and make adjustments, "i don't know how to install" is not this. Because of this, i think we will see the last version as final on nexus only.
bluedog Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 This probably reflects my ingorance rather than a "feature" of the mesh. I have used the bodies quite effectively by building a number of naked skin armors, which I can equip on various characters in the game. I have not installed the mod, as such, but rather have used the mesh to create a number of different bodies. I have also built a few armors - essentially retextures of the meshes. Of course, each character that is using a new mesh skin also has to have a separate armor built for it. However, I am finding it difficult to put two meshes together into a single nif. I was thinking I could create tranparencies of a mesh to build an armor, and then put a second mesh that would be textured up as the body - the usual. But I get crashes to desktop whenever I do this. So, it may be that I am doing something wrong - perhaps related to the fact that I am not setting up the 2nd body in the nif to be the default body, but instead am using a custom body in the mesh e.g. the nif references two materials files and two sets of textures. But it could also just be a limitation of the mesh at this point. Please note that I am using the settings for multiple meshes that are common in the skyrim applications, although, to be sure, those are not two full body meshes in the same nif file. It is actually a very good learning experience - thanks for the meshes and application.
ShadowGearX Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 11 days and no official release Christmas is coming soon, what you are waiting for? Release "as is", more testers from nexus = more bugreports. So people with your mentality can bitch and moan because the known bugs and installation instructions are to hard to spend a moment to read? The passed 20 pages are full of people mentioning/asking about the bugs LISTED on page 7 right ABOVE the download button they clicked on. More Testers from Nexus = stupidity and whinning, not bug reports. Be patient or simply make your own.

Yup, if it was me having to wade through well over a thousand posts to find the few that are actually constructive towards alpha testing I probably wouldn't bother releasing anything publicly again till it was all finished. Especially as there have been efforts to move the install issues and non relevant questions to another thread. Alas, people seem to get tunnel vision. do you think you or someone else could make a texture for the ghouls? because if you take their clothes off their textures are all over the place Shit, they don't even have genitals... not that that's really something I would want to see, but for the sake of realism/consistency I wouldn't mind, lol. Well there is a nude female ghoul texture on the nexus, I just took that and did a bit of photoshoping to get it into my CBBE texture, would share it but its not my original textures and it's not 100% ghoul, she's got radiation damage but still mostly human. Also hope someone does a proper ghoul skin for CBBE, my skills aren't good enough to do a decent looking full one. Will say that a bit of ghoul + Ubercharge's new dirty texture and some select tat's (from skyrim psds) is major awesomesauce (thx to all those whose works I mashed together ). As I'm posting I'll add an Alpha testing note, no issues other than those already mentioned in the thread. Keep up the great work, thankyou.

OMG, i feel sorry for caliente, cell and the team, because they maybe will read this... people don't read the forum, don't want to learn and even so, talk like this was some paid DLC, fact is, if cbbe team just give up and not release nothing, there is nothing we can do, they are making a favor to us, why people just don't understand this???
