And I'm absolutely willing to say I could be very wrong about it having anything at all to do with SoS. I have not one bit of proof.  When it happens right at the start of a sex scene. I'd be looking at SexLab first. When it happens right at the end of a sex scene.... same thing.... when it happens with no sex scene running but I've just entered a cell (where schlongification occurs... I THINK...) then it makes me wonder if it really is SexLab itself.

 

Still COULD be.... without proof I'm kinda shooting in the dark.

 

Not pointing fingers at this stage, but does any of you have Defeat installed? Never had it except with Defeat active. It's probably not that though, just a coinkdence.

I have had it with defeat, Death Alternative, Zaz animation pack and sexlab 1.60 install and only them not sure why though only once so far when I got rescued after a "Death" and ended up in the temple in whiterun the dialog popped up and I went thrue the water pool in the middle with the priestess swimming in the middel. never have I seen anything like that before.

 

@BeamerMiasma could it be the TEVS editor cleaning of the main .esm's?

I don't have Defeat installed, and I occasionally see the issue too, so it's not Defeat. I don't think it's related to any other mod, but rather it seems to happen only (or a lot more often) in specific locations. Maybe it's a navmesh thing, people falling through a floor or physics collisions because of navmesh misalignments, that sort of thing. There seem to be some locations where it is more easily repeatable, I've seen Dragonsreach mentioned more than once and I've had it happen there to me a couple of times too. I suspect the reason that some people have it more often may simply be because their favourite sex locations suffer from the issue, rather than because of a specific mod configuration.

I'm having trouble getting this mod to function at all.  I can make make the MCM menu appear just fine.  But when I enable the mod in MCM and turn on the dialogue, nobody I talk to has any dialogue.  And if I add any of the spells that come with this mod, they don't get added to any of the court wizards' shops.  It's as if this mod only came with a MCM menu, but no actual content.  Is this a common problem?

 

EDIT: It suddenly started working *after* I forced a sex scene using the MatchMaker spell.

Did you use the MCM option to add things to the lists, spells, potions, etc? Check the Khajiit caravans for any of the new items, either aprhodisicas or essence of human heart, petrified falmer ears, etc. Also make sure you don't set the MCM option to only show the dialogue when below a certain arousal amount, or you obviously won't see it!

The availability of the dialogue does not depend on anything except for it being enabled in the MCM menu. It is only a dialogue tree after all, the game doesn't know it's sex related. It's only when you choose a sex option from the dialogue that a script will run to start a sex scene, but up to that point it's no different from any vanilla dialogue. Perhaps you were talking to an NPC with a blocking dialogue?

 

Regarding the spells, potions etc, after adding them to the game, you have to wait up to 2 days for the inventory of merchants to respawn. Once a merchant's inventory is spawned, it will stay the same for 2 (game) days. After those 2 days their inventory will respawn at which point the spells and potions will be available.

There are some improvements I would love to see, basically many of the ones that were implemented in Submit.

A way to move somewhere else when you want to initiate sex, some mods make it difficult if you start sex in the middle of the high street.

A block to spamming the same NPC until she/he finally gives in, it is silly that pestering someone basically means they will give in eventually.

I wouldn't think either quest being there would matter, as you could pick up the item and run for it without killing the boss, or just using a calm or paralyze spell or something. (Skyrim really needs a "Hold Person" spell!)

 

As I understand it, when you hear the chime that the location is cleared, SLEN should trigger. This means that the boss whatever is down, so you might be engaging in a post-clearing orgy when the henchmen come by and jump you.

 

Unless there is something in the cave that keeps you in combat for some reason, the check he put in place to make sure if you kill the boss and are still fighting the henchmen, you don't ignore them for the sexy times.

I doubt it has to do with TESV cleaning, that should not have noticeable effects in-world.

 

It's mostly just guessing for me too, navmeshes and physics are not my specialties in Skyrim by a long shot. However based on my prior experiences with game engines, if objects get 'launched' in game physics engines it typically tends to be caused by 2 physics enabled objects (or characters) overlapping eachother. Once the player gets close enough for the physics of the objects to become enabled (physics is typically disabled for far away objects for performance reasons), they get pushed apart forcefully because they are occupying the same space. If you've ever seen the youtube vid of the cheese avalanche you'll know what I mean. When he spawns several thousand cheese wheels they initially all appear in the same place, overlapping eachother, which causes a large number of them to be launched upwards as soon as he closes the console.

 

When you fall through a floor (or wall) and end up outside the playing field, a common way to handle that would be to respawn the player at the spawn spot of the field (for Dragonsreach for example that's right inside the entrance, where you first meet Lydia), so that could be the cause of your PC appearing near the entrance of an interior at the end of a sex scene. As to why it happens with 1.60 but not with 1.59c, I really have no idea.

Could be, I'm pretty sure the last time I visited that cave, the time I remember that the sex scene worked, was when I just happened to stumble into it, without any quest active. Check your map and see if the location is marked as cleared. If not, then there was no cleared event.

If you try the same NPC repeatedly, you get an increasing penalty on your chance to charm with each repeated attempt. Beyond that, I do not build in any 'anti-cheat' measures. This is a single player game, if people want to cheat I'm not going to tell them they cannot. If you do not want to cheat, then don't do it.

They won't be blocking SLEN, but they might prevent the location from being marked as Cleared. If a location is not marked as such (for whatever reason), then no Location Cleared event will be raised, and SLEN will not have anything to start a sex scene on.

 

Note that if you approach Meridia's statue before you find the beacon, it will be spawned in a specific location (with quest marker) and from that point on, that location will be the only one where you can find the Beacon.

Well I just cleared Redoran's Retreat and got the usual dialogue. It's not a bug with SLEN.

 

I have done Break of Dawn already, so the beacon couldn't have shown up there. Haven't spoken to Amren in this playthrough.

I know that. If you red my post carefully you'll noticed that I was saying that the game places these two quests randomly, although I didn't use that word. I said sometimes. I had experience that the game placed Meridia's beacon twice and Amren's sword quest once into that cave last three times I played the game from the beginning.

That's the problem I was talking about. I killed all bandits in there, and killed the boss, but SLEN doesn't' start. It starts after I use PM mod and fuck the boss. When he dies for second time, SLEN pops up the menu and I can have sex with my follower. Why is that, I d not know. As I said, I have no mod install that modify or change that cave.

Just popping in to say thanks for this mod. I'm running MiasLair (new girls and NPC enslavement), Amorous Adventures (voiced mini-quests for about 30 vanilla NPCs), and now Eager NPCs, which fills in the gaps for me (sex with whoever else). So far, no conflicts between them, but I've only been trying Eager for a couple of days. Nice work.

OK, here is the update about Redorant's retreat cave.

I started a new game. This time, Meridia beacon quest was placed in HALTED STREAM CAMP and Amren's sword quest in WHITE RIVER WATCH. I took my follower with to Redorant's retreat. After killing the bandits and the boss, SLEN wasn't triggered. Log file says that I had "0" lovers, and had no nearby allies and similar crap. But that isn't true, since I just cleaned Silent Moons camp and SLEN was triggered. Had great sex with my follower.

By posting this I just want to inform you that RR cave is problematic in my game. So far, this is only one isolated case in my game and I believe there will not be others. I guess that nothing can be done about it since I'm the only one with this issue. So be it. Regardless of that, I love SLEN a lot. It is a great mod.

Just a note:

during the Ironbind quest (the one with the Argonian Beem-Ja and the female redguard Saima), the Eager Event starts at the end of the dungeon cleared, ok, but BEFORE the Argonian becomes hostile and wants to kill you to sacrifice. If you let the event to happen, everything becomes a big mess, with followers bleeded out, player killed and so on.

 

After that, I never had problems with this EXCELLENT mod. Thank you.

I have only one little complaint: during orgies, I feel sad to not have a gender or gender preference check. I don't like to see so many males  and male guards have gay sex, even if I already set them as straight both into Aroused Redux and SexLab.

Just a note, this is already stated in the OP.

Warning: there is little to no gender sorting in orgies. If schlongs or gay sex freak you out, do not participate in public sex orgies (this is good advice in RL too). It's not up to you to tell that guard that he cannot bugger his patrol partner Regardless of the chances you configure in the MCM menu, when an orgy starts you will always have the option to join in, to just watch, or to stop the orgy from happening.
