SexLab Eager NPCs

LOVE the new dialogue bits! Only had a real quick peek as it's pretty hectic here today in RL.... but.... nice!

No, it's not SLEN, it's something from SexLab.

I've seen this too. I removed SLEN and it still happened. In fact I've had it happen after all sex was completed and actor had been standing still for several seconds.... suddenly... LAUNCHED up into the sky.

 

I've starting to lean toward SoS as it started happening when I installed the latest version of SoS (full). Like it's happening on re-schlongification (which I think happens when a sex scene ends too)

 

I don't have proof of this though.... I'm still trying to get something to show up in the log that tells me if I'm right because when it happens there is nothing... and I mean NOTHING in the log to say WHY it happened. The log just shows my character resetting.

 

What I've started doing while testing is that as soon as I see the launch into the sky, I drop to console and "coc some_location" like if I was in Riverwood when it happened I would 

 

coc riverwood

 

and that way my character loads into Riverwood without crashing to the ground and dying... always at the feet of a giant if I'm near whiterun anywhere.

 

So I don't think it's SLEN necessarily.... I think there's more to this.

this is getting stupid,,i simply can't get any m/f vaginal sex animations with this mod...the "i want to make love to you" triggers nothing but lesbian ones,forced gender by this mod's mcm is set to "not set" for my char and my follower,as was suggested, and tried it with both set to female as well,also lesbian only wih this dialogue option

 

If you want M/F animations for the "make love" option, then all you need to do is simply set the gender of one of the 2 actors to M and the other to F. I didn't think this was so hard to figure out Or just pick one of the other options that are clearly M/F ones (cowgirl, doggystyle, etc).

 

shouldn't this dialogue option rather lead to a general consensual sex animation,regardles of gender restrictions?but excluding lesbian animations to avoid weird moments?

+rubs eyes+ this would mean going to the mcm,changing settings again if i wanted to have positions exchanged again...or use the sexlab hotkey to switch positions,,right?

 

 

It does exclude lesbian animations whenever either (or both) of the participants are M, but I'm not going to exclude lesbian animations when both participants are F, that would be rather unfriendly. Lesbians need love too. SLEN is compatible with all gender choices and sexual preferences, not just specifically for insex play, which is probably the smallest niche of the lot. So if you have 2 F, then "make love" will lead to lesbian animations (without this, there would also be no way to have lesbian sex with 2 insex actors, which was part of the point, wasn't it?).

 

As I stated before there is no "both" gender setting in SLA or SexLab. To SexLab an actor is either a male, a female, a creature, or unsuitable for animation. So if you want to play both genders to the fullest on a single character, then you will have to change gender often yes, that's the way it is, and I don't see how there could be another way to handle it without making the whole system unsuitable for same-sex play (or adding every option in quadruplicate, for all possible combinations of M and F).

 

I have been playing with an idea to make switching gender on the spot (for both player and NPC) a whole lot easier. There are a number of mods that give you powers or spells to do so, which you can use to play dual gender. However most of these mods try to present it in an 'immersive' way, using magic to transform someone's gender. This can be nice if you like that sort of thing but it's a bit of a bother if you're just swapping gender to circumvent the limitations of the positioning system, so I was thinking of a dual-function hotkey, swapping the gender of the target between F and M, or of the PC when no target is in the crosshairs. It would be fairly easy to add so I'll put it on the list for next update.

lets roll it up from the other side,,sexlab romance had it this way,,,if using"i want to fuck you" your char gets the male position without questioning even if female.then if the other is female too it plays a m/f animation simple as that.if the other actor is male though, it goes for a anal/ gay animation,obviously,,,why doesn't your"i want to make love to you" work the same?

Hey guys, have any of you noticed how when you enable the trainers dialogue it kinda "breaks" unofficial skyrim patch in a way that i'm able to get my gold back from a trainer npc if it's my follower, Fendal for instance? I'm not sure if this is a big issue or not and how it will affect the rest of the fixes made by the unofficial patch?

 

The USKP 'fixes' this by changing the topic info scripts so that they take the gold away from the follower directly after training, it vanishes. To make a long story short, it's not a fix I agree with so I didn't copy it to my version of the quest. Note that even in the USKP fix, it would still allow you to take the gold back if the follower had relationship rank 4, so it's only different for the duration that the follower is relationship rank 3.

 

And if you'll forgive me a short moment of sarcasm, to eliminate any issue this might cause:

 

player.additem F 1000000

SLEN doesn't have an "I want to fuck you" dialogue. So we'd have to compare it to another one. You seem insistent on comparing it to "I want to make love to you". As I've tried to tell you before, that's a mistake. You need to compare that SL Romance option to the "I want to fuck your ass", "I want to get rough with you", "I want to fuck you doggy style" or the "I want you to ride me" options, which will all put you in the male position even if you are a female.

 

I'm not trying to copy what other mods do. I'm trying to build a better mousetrap. The reason SexLab Romance works for you is not because it takes your gender into account, but because it ignores it, and the effect of that just happens to match your personal preference. For many people, it does not.

There are some reports of this issue in the SexLab thread, it's not a SLEN specific issue but seems to be related to the 1.60 upgrade. Perhaps you can find more info in the SexLab support thread. I haven't seen any reports that it had anything to do with SOS.

I'd be looking at SexLab first. When it happens right at the end of a sex scene.... same thing.... when it happens with no sex scene running but I've just entered a cell (where schlongification occurs... I THINK...) then it makes me wonder if it really is SexLab itself.

i keep comparing those two because they basicly yell "we trigger a vaginal sex animation!"whereas yours wont do that if there are two girls and both are set as such,even if they simply could use the strap-on sexlab provides,,i just want to be able to play a missionary sex animation WITHOUT needing to work around 3 corners or using hotkeys to mess with gender settings

I had this happen maybe a year ago, well before I was using 1.6 just recently.  It also wouldn't be SLEN caused either. Might be something from an older version of sexlab that was fixed at some point, and then reintroduced with the 1.6 release. Wouldn't be the first time something like that happened to programmers.

I cannot say I've been launched when crossing cell borders, but I do not think that's happened to me.  Generally its been when sex has started, and I think when PC and NPCs were not on level ground.  Generally in the south parts of Skyrim, Whiterun or Falkreath holds, but always over the same giant camp. I am not sure its "launched" as much as moved and spawned, because sometimes I'll fall (a quick console, tgm, usually) but sometimes I'll hang there a second before going through a loading screen and show up back where I should be, getting sexy.

I'm 100% sure it's SL 1.60. I tried to play without SLEN installed. Used Romance and Puppet Master mods. Since never had a problem (Leap of death) with both mods before, SL is the only candidate. There was a version of SL before, I think 5.0+ that had similar issue. Actually, all 5+ versions had this syndrom before 5.8 when it was completely fixed in that version.

Then you are minority. I never had LOD with SL 1.59c. Never ever. Many others didn't have it too. Now, great majority have LOD with SL 1.60+

Under LOD I think of being transported to other locations, flying in the air but returning back, falling down but returning back too, which happens most of the time now, after installing Sl. 1.60+.. but.. I apologize for detouring from the main subject... SLEN.... my conclusion is that SLEN is not responsible for named issues.

 

Just one more example, when great majority never had a problem with "SL Solution" mod, I had a problem; none version worked for me until recently. So I was minority.

I have latest Defeat and latest SL. Although I can't say my game runs perfect, I've never had this particular problem. I have also full SOS and SLEN, as far as "suspected" (but not guilty, imo) mods go. Still, no flying (at least not without skooma ).

I had it back in the day. There was a short time it happened a lot but I think there was a fix from sexlab then it stopped. I do recall discussing it with Ashal.

I don't have Defeat installed, and I occasionally see the issue too, so it's not Defeat. I don't think it's related to any other mod, but rather it seems to happen only (or a lot more often) in specific locations. Maybe it's a navmesh thing, people falling through a floor or physics collisions because of navmesh misalignments, that sort of thing. There seem to be some locations where it is more easily repeatable, I've seen Dragonsreach mentioned more than once and I've had it happen there to me a couple of times too. I suspect the reason that some people have it more often may simply be because their favourite sex locations suffer from the issue, rather than because of a specific mod configuration.
