What music do you listen to?

I usually listen to (almost) everything, with a couple of exceptions. Most music that can make me dance or sing to gets a special spot on my ipod though. Lately I've been in a Celeste Buckingham and Katy Perry kick though. :)

I listen to metal mostly followed by classical. I hate country music and rap/hip hop. Can't fucking stand them at all. They give me headaches and make me fill sick to my stomach.

Hmmm...

I like a bunch of stuff, and will listen to just about anything except country and most rap/hiphop.

I prefer this sort of stuff though:

Front Line Assembly (all of it, 80's stuff all the way up to air mech)

NiN (preferably the older stuff)

Ministry

Skinny Puppy

Radio Head (older stuff)

Knife Party

Current Value

GTronic

Muse

David Usher

Machines of Loving Grace

Monster Magnet

Bloody Beetroots

Random Dubstep/DnB/DarkStep I find on Youtube

Piano or Viola Covers of just about anything

Maybe some ATR for color but I like it less and less as I get older.

Then my playlist gets all "tiny bowl jesus skipping across the blue toilet water, well we wouldn't want shit to get all fucking weird now would we" strange with bizarre guilty pleasure tunes...

Honestly I blame the happy pillz.

J Rock/Pop/Metal

Random themes and soundtracks from anime

I have a lot of Kenji Ohtsuka (sp?) and Maximum the Hormone in there.

Might not sound strange to some; but keep in mind, I'm in my 30's and leave shuffle on...

So when the stereo is blasting out something heavy like "Thieves" by Ministry and then suddenly the next track is something cutesy like the theme from "Working!" or something.... well it's no wonder the neighbors look at me funny.

I know how that feels, my playlist is like that as well.

I like anything from progressive rock to death-doom to hardcore punk. Mostly death-doom (and gothic metal as an extension of that). Here's an obligatory video of one of my favorite bands:

Screw that, they are my favorite band... Listen to the last couple minutes or so for some of Aaron Stainthorpe's amazing death vocals.

This is a very nice progressive house trance mix. Very relaxing and soothing.
