What music do you listen to?

I listen to just about anything except country and I'm VERY picky about my rap. But mostly, I listen to Industrial Metal, My favorite artists are Atheistic Perfection, Incubite, Combichrist, Centhron, and last but certainly not least: Project Rotten.

I listen to pretty much anything other than rap or country. Some metal kinda annoys me but, otherwise I listen to most things. My favourites tend to be instrumental/classical, symphonic metal/rock, that sort of thing though. I do like some pop but it depends, and I like techno/trance or electronic music in general if I'm in the right mood for it (really hate most dubstep though ~_~). I've been listening to videogame music since Streets of Rage and Sonic games on the Sega Genesis lol. Way before they even considered putting out soundtracks. I can appreciate most music.

I honestly listen to everything. The only type of music I don't enjoy listening to is Country. I'll listen to anything else be it metal, rock, showtunes, dubstep, pop(old pop, not new pop), classical music. Everything.

Ha, I can't count how many times I've heard someone say "I like all music, except country!"

I don't know exactly what it is about country music that makes it so much more grating and intolerable than every other genre, but it's probably my least favorite too.

I've always been exclusively into metal though, but more than anything I seem to be fascinated with eastern metal, or anything with asian/middle-eastern instruments. My love of the whole general theme started with Nile, but then I found bands like Chthonic, Shangren, and Al-Namrood, but best of all is Tengger Cavalry. Their latest album is the best I've ever heard, and Hymn of the Earth is my new favorite song.

Last.fm is a fantastic service to use if you want to share your musical tastes with others and listen to the radio stations it has.
Mine happens to focus on industrial tastes but in the last year or so I've indulged in more variation than normal, listening to artists like Gigi D'agostino, Aesop Rock, Tom Waits, and many others. I really recommend the service to anyone who likes music.

I usually prefer ambient like "Boards of Canada". I'm usually pretty depressed and they're my favorite. I also like Shoegaze like "Slowdive" and "My Bloody Valentine" most of the time. I'm hopelessly stuck in the 90s genre of music when it comes down to it.

 

Strangely, most of the music I play on guitar is blues.

I listen to a lot of music and like many styles, but at the same time, there is a few stuff I just can't stand.

 

What I like and listen too: Brutal/Extreme Death & Black Metal. Atmospheric Black Metal, Doom Metal, Gothic Metal, Heavy Metal, Rock, Blues Rock and even some Ambient/Chillout.

What I don't like and do not listen to is stuff like, Hip Hop, Rap, Techno, Goa, Trance and Pop.

 

Actually, I have heard a few good Techno/Trance song, that I actually liked, but mostly because it didn't sounded like someone was getting anal raped by a morning star.
