deathparade Posted July 6, 2012 Posted July 6, 2012 Elaköön is also a favorite of mine! It means Long live! while yea the translated lyrics are here: Hope i don't have to tell anyone this might just be a little NSFW? The iron claw of society demolishes the extinguished uterus Carries the squint-eyed child to the assembly line All the chimney flues of the country spit their black smoke The work on the chain is its own man of action, the will to create will set him free Scream breaks the domestic peace at home, and fists beat in rhythm Work has become your religion, your manager has become your wife All the chimney flues of the country spit their black smoke The work on the chain it its own man of action, the will to create shackles him Long live! Equality Long live! Corruption Long live! Wealth Long live! Basic security Long live! The power of money Long live! Decadence Long live! Leadership Long live! Violence Long live! Wealth Long live! Human dignity Long live! The power of money Long live! Decadence The union of the informal handworker requires absolute growth The pure society of management increases the cost of living All the chimney flues of the country spit their black smoke Work chains down the worker, the will to create will provoke him The individual is the society, they serve the community The statistics were increased to the desired level All the chimney flues of the country spit the willingness of those humble The poor thank the council, the praise will subdue the poor Long live! Equality Long live! Corruption Long live! Wealth Long live! Basic security Long live! The power of money Long live! Decadence Long live! Leadership Long live! Violence Long live! Wealth Long live! Human dignity Long live! The power of money Long live! Decadence Long live! Corruption Long Live! Wealth Long live! Long live! the power of money Long live! Decadence Live long! Pretty much a big FUCK YOU to all those new songs with lyrics about love and so forth!
Queen Bee Posted July 6, 2012 Posted July 6, 2012 My list would be INSANELY long if I listed everything I listen to, so I'll just throw out two of my favorites. These in no way represent the entirety of my musical tastes: [video=youtube] [video=youtube] I'll post more later.

Some time ago I checked what some of their song titles mean, I still remember Elaköön as "hurrah" and Teurestaja as "Shadow", but I had no idea what the lyrics meant ;D. I figured "Elaköön! Rappio!" meant "Hurrah! Rape!". My mind's in the bloody gutter... xD...

Ark of Truth Posted November 4, 2012 Posted November 4, 2012 *Squeeeee* Girls Generation! I heart them so much. Here's my favorite of theirs: [video=youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L05wn7w0Rz8 Gee!!! Yeah a friend one day found them on the internet and was like 'What the fuck' is this. It went around the class like wildfire but only permanently stuck on me. Ever since then been listening to them. Jessica is my favorite though. Due to her relationship with her sister being so strong and her positive attitude towards life, she always seems to put family first even over her job.
AgentChicken Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 I listen mostly to Older generation stuff like "The man comes around by johnny cash" or "video killed the radio star by the bugles". Mainly Johnny cash, and 40's to 90's music Nothing 2000's and onwards. i think most modern music is terrible if not just awkward to me
chupa Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 LoL [video=youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=endscreen&NR=1&v=924nfz7E-Tc
Sarnaath Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 Growing up in the 80s, I still have a great fondness for 80s pop, but today I mostly listen to chilled out electronica and trance, especially Above & Beyond. Their Oceanlab song, On a Good Day, got me through law school: [video=youtube]
Northern Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 Ur Falc'h, Black Metal with folk elements, Judas Iscariot
DoctaSax Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 Me, I like that old-school funk jazz [video=youtube]
Hayran Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 I enjoy a bit of everything, Rock, Hip Hop, R&B, Dance, Dubstep, Pop, (80s, 90s)... I heard this song just now. [video=youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p8-pP4VboBk

FallenWarrior Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 Depends on the mood. Lately it's been Heavy Metal, Viking rock, Power Metal and Classical music
Something Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 Generally i've always liked something with strong, upbeat instrumentals. I've always enjoyed video game soundtracks, Power Metal, Classical, Neoclassical, and Trailer music.
Queen Bee Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 Lately I've been going crazy over Lindsey Stirling. She's coming to NYC next year, and I've already bought the special ticket package where I get to meet her before the show! Goddamn it, February can't come soon enough. [video=youtube] [video=youtube] [video=youtube]
xartom Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 Variety mostly, if it has a sound I like I'll listen to it whatever it is. Really fond of Aphex Twin and his aliases and some genres of rock.
TheDriedFinger Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 Lots of classical and instrumental: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g7czptgEvvU (technically, Romantic) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jdO6wP3CqqQ (Jazz with Romantic inspiration)
ossku Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 95% Electronic music. The kind of no one likes and/or no one knows about. (not to sound hipster about it...) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nWpyi2p23yg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F7GpenFqJ94 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VwUUhymuvJM
gaggedgirl123 Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 I listen to a LOT of different styles, rock, metal, electronica, classical, soundtracks, some rap, industrial, and quite a lot of experimental stuff. Most of my playlists are in fact just artists I find randomly. Although, my favorite band is Serenity, a Metal band.
