Fuzzis Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 Remedy's mod is incompatible with DW, since DW uses modified stuff from Remedy's, with his permission.
Andrian_777 Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 Do You will adding order for Messalians, for example Legio Infernica or Legio Luceferious ( analogy catholic tampliers and St.Joan Order) ?)Becouse messalians haven't got ordens, and it so pity :c
thargent Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 Messalians actually have one holy order by default. Just that it doesn't exist until, like, a Messalian ruler to control the province of Baghdad or something like that. Same thing with Orthodox and controlling Jerusalem, and Monophysite and controlling Alexandria.
hajotus Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 I've experinced some graphical errors using HIP mod + potraits mod with Dark WOrld. Is there any way to fix this? Or do I have to disable the potraits mod? Only part of HIP that directly conflicts with Dark World is the CPR+ module as it changes portraits, Just install HIP without CPR+ enabled and it works just fine. Since CPR+ has different folder structure than vanilla portraits I guess it isn't very easy to make compatibility patch for it to work with Dark World custom portraits.
Wease Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 Most of the custom portraits stopped working for me with this last patch. Like Claire for example just shows a normal portrait but with red spots all over like they have some really bad skin rash. I'm using no other mods.

I have had this issue form day one and ive got all of the dlc for the portraits as well no werewolf and no Claire our any other pics Ok only thing i changed recently was getting a bunch of dlc this weekend. I just disabled most my dlc left portraits going and now the custom portraits work again. So one of the dlc's must break this mods custom portraits, ill let you know if i find out which one edit* Ok its wierd, portraits dont work in the charlemagne or old gods start date, but work fine 1066 and later. Which is strange cuz before I got all the extra dlc it was working for the old gods start date.
Stromglave Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 ok wease i try that time frame see what i come up with it this type of testing the mod builds need nice work mate Edit: ok some of the pics work some of them don't and end up with there numbers on them like 84 and thous above 10 form what ive seen that is so far it dose not work in old gods our Charlemagne witch is a pain

Black Keys Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 I've noticed that certain portraits can't be changed if the character is of a particular ethnicity-group, such as the English/Anglo and Muslim ethnicities (whereas the Norse and Mongol ones are fine). Is there anything worth noting within this mod which may be causing this conflict?
dewguru Posted October 4, 2015 Author Posted October 4, 2015 In regards to the above portrait discussions - I had the same issue when playing Old Gods (which is my preferred era) when I used the custom ruler editor and selected a culture that differed from the country I was starting the game in. If you're doing the same, my only recommendation is to not change the culture. Otherwise I'm not seeing the same issue. Also - I'm only checking in as I had to pay for access today (just a reminder - I'm without Internet access this week), because I forgot to put 7-Zip on my tablet. Outside of that, if the portraits are just a pain - remember that there is a link to a post in the Incompatibility section of the original post that covers how to effectively remove the custom portrait functionality.
boogiebear26 Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 Can somebody tell me the event cheat for the Vampires?
Guest Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 Can somebody tell me the event cheat for the Vampires? It's event DWVampire.100
Vienas Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 None of the events are starting for me. And the only change that appears to exist in game is the Messalian faith being a possible religion.
Seek3r Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 None of the events are starting for me. And the only change that appears to exist in game is the Messalian faith being a possible religion. First and foremost, a few in-game days need to pass before the first event pops up. There is also a chance for mods conflicting. I ran the Harem mod before getting this one and it completely cancelled out this mod - the events didn't pop. Try to run the game with nothing enabled but DW. Maybe even disable DLCs. If everything looks fine and it still doesn't pop, you can "force" the chain to start by opening the console and typing "event DWLilith.1". Good luck!

I disabled all my mods, except Dark World of course, and all my expansions, except Way of Life (I don't have Horse Lords). I waited for a few in-game years and no events fired off. I even forced start the event 'DWLilith.1', and all that poped up was an event box with only my character portrait on the left-hand side, and the letter 'A' <=(in caps) on the right.

LickeyDs Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 I disabled all my mods, except Dark World of course, and all my expansions, except Way of Life (I don't have Horse Lords). Does 2.4 patch even come without the Horse Lords? If not, that's the problem.
MuteDay Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 latest patch is 2.4.4 and i belive it shouldnt require HL
LickeyDs Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 latest patch is 2.4.4 and i belive it shouldnt require HL I see. Sorry I couldn't be of any help. On an unrelated note, this happens when the Werewolf Bitch event is triggered. It's hilarious, don't get me wrong, but I don't think it works as intended.
Abraxis00 Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 Ha! The werewolf events do seem to have a lot of improper reference links. I can't remember if it was this version or the last, but my Queen sent her pet werewolf out to deal with the feral one. He succeeded... but she was wounded in the process. Hopefully they'll eventually get cleaned up.

MuteDay Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 that is odd, that has to mean you do not have dw enabled, or you have a somthing breaking your game DW works fine for me, i have all dlcs enabled, and 3 other mods enabled as well and everything runs fine for me latest patch is 2.4.4 and i belive it shouldnt require HL I see. They do exist - you just have to know the correct tag, which isn't necessarily the exact same name as what shows up. This is the case with regular traits in CK2 - for instance to add "Attractive" you type add_trait fair (id). You can find the exact names for each trait by looking at the definitions in the text files in your Crusader Kings II/mod/Dark World/common/traits directory. For instance, the succubus trait would be "add_trait lilith" (though incubus is incubus). None of the events are starting for me. And the only change that appears to exist in game is the Messalian faith being a possible religion. The obvious question to ask would be, is your character female? The Lilith event only fires if your character is female. A lot of the other stuff won't show up right away, necessarily. One thing you can check for is whether you can build the new buildings in your capital - the assassins' guild, arena, brothel, etc. Also, Messalian is actually in the base game, it's just extremely rare to see it, since it's a Heresy of Nestorian Christianity, and there's only one Nestorian ruler in a normal start (in Socotra), and they usually get overrun by the Sunni Arabs.

I actually tried playing CK2 with th DW mod in different situations. Using different characters of different genders, using and not using ruler designer, and using multiple bookmarked time periods. Not once did I see any of the buildings that you mentioned, that come from the DW mod, only the buildings from the base game were apparent. I also failed to point out earlier, that i had MuteDay's Sexual Crusader mod, activated in some playthroughs and deactivated in others, while DW being activated. I also didn't notice any changes in the base game that would have been noticable while Sexual Crusader being activated.
