Gameplayer Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Its going to be a Vault Start. So chances are we are going to have 30 minutes of vault gameplay. This start will likely be seen as cannon and lore friendly by many fans. That said LAL mod will be more than welcome after first legit play.

Gameplayer Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Live another Life mod. Sorry I guess I thought people knew mods. I've been playing all of these games and making mods for them for quite a while now. Plus Im no stranger to making mod patches and dealing with huge load orders. ------------------ Not another crappy animation system that involves hackish fixing to put more content into the game please.
pantherlux Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 i dont want to have / see... - to search for ancient water purifier chips/parts etc - short story mode with only two sides to choose - comic like grafics (like in the trailer... no matter if this is NOT in game material or not) - bodyguard missions and finally: changing my pc in game (like in halo 2)
Veniat Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Not another crappy animation system that involves hackish fixing to put more content into the game please. Oh god yes, a proper mesh toolset too. I don't want to have to hack about and manually edit NIF files in FO4.
Gameplayer Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Oh man that'd be the end if we were playing the Vault Dweller for a mission and then were suddenly playing as a Super Mutant ><
Vaukalak Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 after 200y there is no chance one can have fully functional M16 AK47 maybe cuz that technological wonder average blacksmith can repair and there is absolutely none chance to have useful prewar ammo outside some military base depot Keep in mind that Fallout functions not on science, but on SCIENCE! how it was imagined by general public in 50s-60s.
Varithina Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 and btw bows and crossbows why they don't exist in fallout world it is highly ilogical At a rough guess I would say the wood is the problem, you can only really make bows out of certain woods, others just don't work, and with the mass die off of trees and such just after the war, they may just not exist. Don't forget of course making a *working* bow is quite hard, however making a good enough should also be do-able. It just would not be very good, and good luck trying them on things like deathclaws and such. Though of course there could be horn and such bows as well, but yeh, you would expect to see more of that sort of thing rather than everybody having guns, its been 200+ years most ammo, would be unuseable even if properly stored. Crossbows however you could make totally from metal, they would be damn heavy and slow fireing, but it would be do-able, should be able to do serious damage to most things as well, well as long as you hit them that is. Crossbow made out of the suspension of a car, with hand cranked reload, firing something like rail road spikes, would be nasty enough to deal with pretty much anything, of course hitting them would be a major problem, and you would'nt be carrying the damn thing around with you it would be tripod mouted in fixed locations. Get hit with one of them and even power armor is toast.
Guest endgameaddiction Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Bugs are unavoidable. I don't expect them to give us 100% bug free game because that's impossible, but I do expect Bethesda to stop making broken patches. And if they do, keep on fixing them till it's working the way it used to with the new bug fix inclusion.
nonusnomeni Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 and i don't want to see useless power armor power armor is a mini tank not a tuna can he cant be penetrated by shotgun shells
RapidWaterOver Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Like others said, I don't want another 5 hour intro because lol we want the game to be a Cinematic Experience . In all honesty that's the only thing I worry about, graphics are not an issue for me since I'm used to playing old games where gameplay took precedence over flashing colors, whistles and bells. Maybe I do worry a little bit about them axing SPECIAL but the thing is you shouldn't need the game to have to hold your hand to help with your roleplaying. So if it has it that would be good but if not to me it's not the end of the world. Plus mods can add it back in for those that really want it.
Guest endgameaddiction Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 What I don't want Fallout 4 to have is the exp level up system. I did like Skyrim's approach where you have to make a choice in 3 categories and that choice is based off of the type of the player you want to be. The whole traditional exp level system is outdated and needs to go. Especially in Fallout where each level you gain a bonus in HP and AP making you overpowered much quicker, but really either one will do that in the long run. But for roleplay purposes I think a similar approach to Skyrim's level up by gaining skill points by the type of weapons and armor you use that determines the type of player is the way to go. This means light armor and power armor have their own skill branch.

I agree fully, so I'll probably be next to you in the bonfire.

I don't get people who complain about the game being way too easy when the game difficulty set to as high as it can go makes the game actually decently hard. Maybe not as hard as other games, but enough that it doesn't seem like a walk through the park and actually enjoyable. Also if you don't do things like max out strength or luck the game's xp makes more sense and is really helpful. On my recent playthrough of FNV I did that; I wanted my character to be like me so I turned luck and strength all the way down, gave my character less than stellar intelligence, and damn did I have a difficult time playing. I think I spent more time thinking about what to do and running when an army of giant spiders would start to attack me.
Halstrom Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Well it's pretty much sorted by now, too late fopr most suggestions here, but the good news is my Pre-Order option tells me it will arrive in 2015 Well, I don't want to see NPC's who don't suffer starvation, ammo shortages, radiation and tiredness

It's really annoying and immersion breaking when you have a freaking immortal demi-god as a companion who's only human characteristics are sleeping, talking, and walking. I'm guessing that the game will be released sometime during the fall or holidays. Just think about it. In as little as three months to six months you could be playing this game! What will be nice for me personally is this game should carry me over until the release of Rise of the Tomb Raider this December. So I can get my wasteland survival funk going for a few months then dive into the abandoned tombs!
Womb Raider Posted June 3, 2015 Author Posted June 3, 2015 Well actually still got 6 hours till the announcement, I agree it's highly likely but we had a countdown clock once before that was a dud too. So in around 6 hours time then we can start posting Fallout 4 confirmed. I've got some other connections to Bethesda. Insider site confirmed suspicions before the official page did.

Rokabur Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 What I don't want to see is a 32bit engine. That's all we're ever gonna see as long as consoles are around. Game devs program the game for the weakest system and then work from there. Why PC versions need so much modding to look decent.
CeilYurei Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 What was wrong with Little Lamplight? it was kinda fun. Honestly the biggest thing I want is for modders to lighten up and stop caring about what other gamers want to add to their games.

Memoria Man Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 I know I'm weird, but sometimes I actually like seeing certain bugs in these games. Oblivion's were hilarious. A lantern that bounces around the room. A hand that appears stuck in the middle of a road, waving around. A guard that died, then came back to life, can be greeted but just sort of.... stares at you creepily. Ideally, there won't be any bugs. Game breaking bugs suck, sure. CTD's really suck, and I hate them. Bugged quests suck. And bugs break immersion, sure. But man, I love certain glitches sometimes. As for the intro scene, I wouldn't mind an option to skip it, but I'd still like there to be one. Or hell, be several you can choose from. Like LAL but with an actual intro for some choices, and no intro for others. "You are: A Vault Dweller! A Raider! A Courier! A Traveler! A Bodyguard! A Scientist!" This probably won't happen because they need that pipboy to be canonical, but it'd still be great.I also want co-op gameplay. A simple option to jump into a friends game would be great, they don't need to go all out or worry about balance.Anyway, things I don't want to see.- Driveable Vehicles...As much as I loved Mad Max, and as much as it got me pumped for a Mad Max video game, I'll just go play Borderlands until one comes out. (inb4 mods, which I'm fine with.)- Low Populations... Sometimes I feel like the bandits/raiders/human enemies outnumber the peaceful townsfolk/allies 1000 to 1. - The Inability to Create Animation Mods... Come on, we should not have had to wait until FORE made his workaround for Skyrim. - A Bioware Dialogue Tree... I'm happy choosing between a list of choices thanks. Make more choices if anything. I like Bioware, but don't copy them. - Lifeless Companions... Enough said there, I echo everything everyone has said so far.- All People Having the Same General Bodytype... Give me some variety. Fat people, short people, crippled people even. (I might be cheating with this one.)- The Inability to Knock on Doors... (I might be cheating with this one too, but still. I find it hard to believe you can't talk to an NPC just because they're inside their house at night.)Actually. Now I think I'm deviating into things I actually want to see.
rylasasin Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 Any sort of romance system. Do you really want to see Bethesda take a crack at that? We already did. It's called the Marriage system. You get an item, went up to a lady, talked one topic, went to the Temple of Mara and boom you were married... ... What? You're telling me that's not romance? No Shit. If it was Obsidian I'd say maybe. But Beth? Hell no.
