DissocialPersonality Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 so whats the saddest song you have ever heard mine is
Vacaliga Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Hmm that's a tough one, but right now my best bet would be:
Silver Wolf Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 This one, the lyrics maybe not too sad, but the music is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iJhScj8qq8A And this
Koko.Hekmatyar Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 There is very little in this world that can provoke strong emotions in me least of all sadness but I would have to say this song tends to make be feel sad and I'll admit the first time I heard it the song combined with the show it was used in actually made me cry.
Cynical Misanthrope Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 First we have to establish what kind of sadness are we talking about? To me, all Taylor Swift songs are sad. Like, in a pathetic way. Just like herself. But I guess thats not what you after right? Otherwise, when I'm really really down, I sometimes listen to these: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2_E4suqdKx4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FPuI3rv5gdE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=92Y2a8PIE3I https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ru2JdmAvBjE
nIn nIn nIn Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Gets to me every time. This one too https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ljHwRNrp-AY
FetishSergal Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Not exactly the saddest thing in the world, but epic and tearjerking (atleast for me) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jQxQKA7etZU lyrics: Though you see me now a mere ghost of a man I once had the heart of a lion Commanded my ship between many a shore The ol' Jolly Roger a-flyin Mine was a name that struck fear into men And regret into plenty of lasses Oh, how I wish I could take back those days As I stare at these empty beer-glasses I think of the times past when I had it all I toyed with men's wives and their daughters And in my pursuit of this ill-gotten wealth I stabbed and I slashed and I slaughtered. And for what? The men that I've fought Are matched by the number of women I've bought And for what? I've killed and I've shot And reddened the cold tears of children with blood And If I could go back and make my amends I'd make all those mistakes again I'd kill every last one of those bastards, my friend My ship was the last sight that many would see As we narrowed the gap with our quarry The sound of the cannons and splintering wood Would herald our paths into glory We seized all the bounty and scuppered the ship Our hearts hadn't time for the wounded I took my share and the crew got the rest And on into port we then bounded Life has many pleasures, and we had our fill Of food and of wenches and beer When we'd tired of the port or had drunken it dry The time to set sail would come near And for what? We heeded no law Made other men suffer so we could have more And for what? We lived every day With the noose of the hangman a hair's breadth away And If I could go back and make my amends I'd make all those mistakes again I'd kill every last one of those bastards, my friend Oh I have seen wonders you'd never have dreamed, And taken my fair share, I must say Holds full of booty I happily seized From crews who would not see a new day Spanish gold came and went, gem stones got sold, But I knew more lay on the horizon, Yet the beer was too good and the gals were too sweet And now in my old age it's gone These memories were bought with the lives of good men A price that I paid without scruple So many souls suffered so I could get drunk And swagger from brothel to brothel And for what? It's been many years Yet the screams of the vanquished still ring in my ears And for what? I've blood on my hands I wait for my place in the halls of the damned And If I could go back and make my amends I'd make all those mistakes again I'd kill every last one of those bastards, my friend here's another such gem.
Buddy Christ Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 I know some people do not like this guy, but it gets me every time: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ntKgLxgY9s
Cynical Misanthrope Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 I don't really think this is the saddest song that I have ever heard, but it does invoke some emotions in me https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k40Y7NbnNXw
FetishSergal Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 I think this song wins the sad contest https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h8ihz79t2Z0 If my wish were to come true right nowI'd wish for wingsPlease put white wingsOn my back like a bird'sI want to spread my wingsAnd fly in this skyI want to make my wings flutterIn a free sky without sorrowThat thing I dreamt of as a childI still dream of it, unchanged, nowI want to spread my wingsAnd fly in this skyI want to make my wings flutterIn a free sky without sorrow
ds64 Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 It's not too sad for every people, but for LoTR fans, I think it will... When you realize it's the end of the great trilogies... There is very little in this world that can provoke strong emotions in me least of all sadness but I would have to say this song tends to make be feel sad and I'll admit the first time I heard it the song combined with the show it was used in actually made me cry. Glad it has happy ending, I never stopped thinking about yuuko gone/vanish after I heard that song...
Loveryus Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 This song got me really depressed when I was practicing it on guitar. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kVSfxzZOCdk
Loveryus Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 Sorry for the spamming, but this song deserves a posting too... It's sad in a beautiful way.
Buddy Christ Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 Mad World is a great choice for a sad song!
Dr. Thang Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 Not exactly the saddest thing in the world, but epic and tearjerking (atleast for me) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jQxQKA7etZU lyrics: Though you see me now a mere ghost of a man I once had the heart of a lion Commanded my ship between many a shore The ol' Jolly Roger a-flyin Mine was a name that struck fear into men And regret into plenty of lasses Oh, how I wish I could take back those days As I stare at these empty beer-glasses I think of the times past when I had it all I toyed with men's wives and their daughters And in my pursuit of this ill-gotten wealth I stabbed and I slashed and I slaughtered. The song holds a special meaning for me, it really spoke to me when I first heard it during a particularly dark point in my life, and in a way helped me get through it. As much as I love it though, now every time I listen to it, I am reminded of what I was going through then, an issue which has since been resolved but I still don't like thinking about that time. Either way, it's still about the end of the pirate era, and I have a thing for pirates, so it's depressing regardless.
