anyone getting a "solitare8theme" instead of a .7z or a .zip for the file download?

 

reinstall your 7zip. And be sure those zip files are pointed to it.

 

Also, uninstalling the solitaire game before installing the zip program should ensure it is no longer a problem.

 

Another thing you should be able to do, if using a PC, is right click on the zip file, and choose "open archive" to work around it.

This so much. The random chance to get drugged after sexual congress is immersion breaking. You have your character make love with a friend then drug out of nowhere, why?!

I don't find this myself.

 

Partly, unlike many of the other mods, this is actually something that does happen. It's a textbook way of raping someone - drugging them to make it harder for them to fight back. Just because the animation got skipped doesn't make it unrealistic - it's not like there are normally animations for your character having a wash and taking a piss in the morning, but it's reasonable to assume that happens too.

That said, I tend to file the effects under 'abstraction layer'. The character probably wasn't drugged - but after being gang banged by a bunch of bandits the idea of losing a few hours in a happy skooma haze is probably quite appealing. So the addiction effects are perfectly valid and immsersive - and they are the primary results of the forced drugging. The short term effects of the drug itself can be put down to adrenaline / shock / confusion and vanish soon enough. Your character is a magical being of fantastical power, after all. Their subconcious is probably capable of applying all sorts of random status effects in a rush of fight-or-flight.

They get drugged before, not after. And in this situation it is entirely random and do not reflect the location or condition. It basically is a simple dice roll.

 

As I said, the skooma on sex act should be weighted by the conditions the sexing happens: do some loving with your spouse and get drugged ????

With Lover's Comfort, Your spouse will rape you, with a chance to drug you after... Unrealistic and immersion breaking. Now, after getting raped by your spouse, you may choose to do a drug, entirely up to you.

 

Bathing in Skyrim is a thing. I have to find a river or stream to bath in, in my game.

Private Needs is also a thing, you have to relieve your bladder - compatible with outhouses of skyrim.

 

If I walk around naked, in the 1300 - 1600s, where Skyrim is based, medieval fantasy. I expect to get raped by anyone. In those days, they called it a crime of passion, and there is no worse fate for a young woman, they did not call it rape, and there was no punishment for it.

 

The mods Can be added to increase immersion, or break immersion at some points.

 

I choose to not do drugs, even tho I have it added to the game, in attempts to increase immersion. I don't even use potions in my playthroughs. And yes, WHY is the drugging after, and not before the rape? Also, if you use Defeat, it should be more specific on what types are used, such as the ones that reduce stamina and magica, so you can't resist during sex, BEFORE they use you.

 

After forceful sex, if I want to use a drug, it had better already be in my inventory, and not given by a bandit, or better yet, aroused creatures, suddenly getting drugged by a horse, or a dog after it rapes you????

 

As of right now, I am thinking I need to disable drugging when raped, due to the immersion breaking results...

It's probably a very easy fix, if you can specify a clear and unambiguous set of conditions for when drugging should not occur. I could try to make a little patch tonight if you can write a set of conditions that are easy to check by script.

Wether or not the partner is in an "enemy" faction (friend of foe) or is a beast, we don't want beasts drugging people now. If you're in a city or imprisoned by PO you shouldn't get drugged, especially if the partner is a guard. Exception to low-class citizen, they might just try to knock you down and rob you blind.

 

For instance, Belethor is a filthy raccoon and will try to abuse you while other merchants are in good standing.

 

It could also be determined by wether or not the player is an addict already, to weight in the chances of getting drugged.

I'm not sure that "Low class citizen" is a well-defined condition. How do you determine that algorithmically? The only mods I know that do tests like that use lists of who is and isn't part of the group (or modify the records of those NPCs, or their outfits, or whatever).

 

I feel like being drugged would be more common in cities, not less. Drugs, like most other consumer goods, are easier to acquire in larger markets. Still... It's an easy change I think. Let me take a look.

 

I don't really have the energy to add a bunch of MCM settings. I'm thinking just a few minor edits to the esp. So let's think simple edits. No drugging in cities, no beasts, no friends. Is that what you're thinking?

Oh sorry the definition was stuck in my mind, in skyrim you have different kind of people: nobles, merchants, commoners, beggars. Low-class would encompass commoners and beggars I guess. That comes directly from the mod "For the Masses" by Veladarius.

 

Drugs in cities are not legal though, and the population to guard ratio isn't big enough to have a smuggling ring in place, unless you live in the sewers which exists only in riften. Depend on who rapes you. Can you detect a rape? And what if the player masturbate?

Speakeasies were mainly an urban thing. And the person selling skooma will almost certainly go to whiterun where there's a big market, rather than hiding out the wilderness and hoping customers happen along.

 

Anything illegal tends to be more common in cities regardless of law enforcement. It's basic economics, and Mr. Smith doesn't care about the cops. :-)

 

I think Skooma Whore already ignores masturbation and ONLY triggers for rape.

Prison no.. The prisoners would not want to "share" their skooma....

 

How about, a different kind of check...

Does enemy faction member have rape drug? If yes Then apply effect of drug at start of sex. (Sexlab Util uses multiple function calls durring the scene, start, on orgasm, end, after...)

That way, only IF the enemy target has the drug in their inventory, are they allowed to drug the PC as rape starts. That should also eliminate any creatures from being able to drug the PC... Yes, a Guard MIGHT have it, but the chances are low that they will have any in their inventory. THUS, instead of adding another item, just check to see if it's already lootable? And the chance for apply drug, would be IF they have it, there is that % chance they use it on you....

Opium dens in medieval times? Why would they need a den when it was used by practically everybody able to buy the thing? The skooma furnisher are probably them cats, khajiit they call themselves. And they are everywhere, so yeah you're right.

 

Anyhow, if you run a mod that make the player vulnerable and thus get raped a lot, they'll get doze after doze of skooma simply because of a random number. It's kind of annoying.

 

Edit: by that i mean, the stuff isn't cheap. Don't trash 10 skooma bottles on the same individual in under a day, come on.

I entered a cave, 5 bandits, had 2 low on health, then got knocked down...

Round and round I went, and a few more joined in, by the end with Slow for the drug doses to effect me. I was addicted and reached high enough that when I looted drugs, my character just popped it right then. Was at ranking 4 already, 3 more and hit rank 5... Also blacked out twice while being passed around the bandit group... With default of 5 for blackouts. I admit, it was kinda funny... However, I don't like the auto time passing when blacking out, should scream to nearby NPC's to use me while blacked out, instead of time passing.... Just when each one is done, use the defeat's exhausted animation sets?

 

Also, I need to see if the maker of defeat will add hooks, if you don't get up fast enough, say 5 minutes, one of enemies will use you again. That way, if you are waiting for your health to go up, you could be tagged repeatedly during that time. hehehe Also using wear and tear, and fill her up, with damage to parts high enough, or too full of spunk, I actually take damage and could literally be screwed to death in the game. So staying down is not something I want to do. My character says in my mind,"I need time to recover before I do that again"

I doubt I put this in the correct location. But in the correct spots, would stop a lot of drugging from strange sources... Such as creatures, or loved ones, even friends... leaving you open to enemy and neutral factions, meaning guards you are not thane to even...

So here's the thing. 

This mod looks really interesting, and something that I would want to install for a character that is roleplaying as an addict. My only issue is the SexLab requirement. 

Given that my laptop is occasionally used by other people (and said laptop is where my Skyrim files are) I am always hesitant on installing certain kinds of mods, body remesh mods like CBBE being a prime example, and SexLab falls under the category of "Don't install ever, cause that will cause some awkward conversations if it is discovered" mods. 

Is there any chance that there will be a version of the mod that doesn't require SexLab? That way I can install this for use on a character and not have to deal with any accusations about why I'm supposedly turning my game into a porno. (Not to mention the main features I wanted to have were the addiction/withdrawal system, crazy drug visuals, various skooma dens, etc. I wasn't planning on using the whole "sell your body for crack" kind of deal).

If you use Mod Organizer you can set up profiles that allow you to have completely different sets of mods for each player character, so you could have Sexlab installed for PC A while some one else could play PC B with no sex mods whatsoever.  That would not, of course, prevent someone who normally played PC B from starting up a game with PC A, so whether this suggestion is of any use to you depends entirely on the circumstances that prompted the question.

to me prison overhaul was the addiction reset for a while, but it was and is bugged and no fun.

so i dont know where the blackout should lead to.

 

but i have a complete different question. i made belethor to a jounrneyman speechcraft trainer. unfortunately not at the very beginning of the game. now the dialogue does not come up. when i quickstart a LAL the dialogue is there.

is there any way to force the trainer dialogue to show up or must i start a new game ?

well that one is hard to guess

you probably need seq file

maybe reset belethor with disable/enable

maybe stop/start quest

maybe just save\load
