LadyM Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 Sorry guys I'm absolutely swamped irl right now. I'll get back to it just as soon as I can. That's OK, T! We understand. Gives me more time to mess around with my guys and gals! And that's what I figured with Rescue. I had to laugh that Nova was one of them to 'Rescue' me, she oughtta know that my gal WANTED Billy Creel to 'rape' her! (Thanks to the Sexout Assault mod ) Take as much time as you need, we ain't goin' anywhere!
MRM18870 Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 I posted the following in the pregnacy mod forum, but I post it here too in case it is a conflict of your mod with the other one I have some bugs, not sure whether they came from this mod or are a result of a conflict with an other mod. It seems that all offsprings are misassigned ( right term ? ). 1. all small children are following my char, whether my char is parent or not. 2 All names a gave them are forgotten as soon as I boot the game the next time 3 when my female char is pregnant, father and(!!!) mother of this unborn child are allways Chet ( according to advanced med scanner ), even so my char had never sex with this NPC any idea what might cause those problems? I have not an other pregnancy mod installed, and I did not had those problems one or two month ago, before the last update of this mod. The only other mod I updated frequently is Sexout intimacy, do they conflict with each other? ( you can rename generic NPCs in that mod, maybe this is causing confusion ? ) Additional I have a rename problem with our mod that is very similar to the other one. I can rename a generic NPC, but as soon as I boot the game again, all names are forgotten. Is it possible that one ore some variables you attach to the NPCs conflict with this other mod? Edit: ok, i got an answer in the other thread, 1 and 3 don't have anything to do with your mod, 2 however maybe Edit 2: good news about dancing. Now it works for me - simply by starting a new game. I guess the saves from the previous games have been messed up somehow.
LadyM Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 @MRM18870, good to hear the dancing works for you! I've been enjoying it myself! What is so much fun are the NPCs that ask to dance, some of them I wouldn't think of as a dancer!
duckbills Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 Could anyone explain the logic used to determine NPCs orientations, outside of the small subset with default orientations? It feels like nobody outside of Veronica wants to be in lesbians with me, and I'd rather just let it work itself out naturally rather than start using the console commands mentioned a few pages back to set select NPCs to be compatible. Also, this is a really cool mod. I admit the first time I tried it I was immediately put-off by the placeholder dialog, but I've been fiddling with it the last few days and have found it to be pretty absorbing.
LadyM Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 @duckbills, I can't explain the logic but I can tell you that it just won't work without the console commands. I copied and pasted Alex's code into a notepad, and saved it to the Fallout New Vegas folder. Now I only use the bat npcgay command for the guys I want to be gay. It works beautifully! It would be awesome if the mod did correspond to the sexout NG settings but it doesn't so the console commands are just as good for me. The mod has made playing the game with sex so rewarding! Now most of my characters only have sex with their partners initiated through SOI.
antediluvian Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 Also, this is a really cool mod. I admit the first time I tried it I was immediately put-off by the placeholder dialog, but I've been fiddling with it the last few days and have found it to be pretty absorbing. I've gotten to the point where I find the dialogue to be more fun than if it had actual written lines -- it allows me to insert my own imagination for what the NPC is doing or saying and concentrate more on the emotions of the interaction than on the words themselves. By the time the third Powder Ganger in Tryout tried to rape my character I was already disappointed by the repetitiveness, but in this a [Force]'s a [Force].
MRM18870 Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 @MRM18870, good to hear the dancing works for you! I've been enjoying it myself! What is so much fun are the NPCs that ask to dance, some of them I wouldn't think of as a dancer Unforunaly it stoped working in the new game too now . It worked 4 or 5 times, and since then no dance animation anymore. Anyone have an idea what kind of bug could create such kind of behaviour? A variable not reseted under certain circumstances or something like this? Conflict with an other mod?

I read somewhere that you can't use the groovatron with some sexout mods. It might go for dancing mods too. But I'm only guessing. My dancing has been working fine, still. What is your mod list?

duckbills Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 Also, this is a really cool mod. Yeah, I can kind of agree with that. How exactly are reminders supposed to work? Do they only remind you of people's preferences who are within the field of view, or something? I ask because I've lately repeatedly been reminded of Veronica's preferences while trying to learn of Cass', or vice versa. Often I'll hit the reminders once & be told two or three times about Veronica's preferences, & nobody else's (even when somebody else whose preferences I know is nearby).
LadyM Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 Guys, until T returns, I suggest using your Registry Debug Enabled. This allows you to read all about their preferences bypassing the reminders function. If they have given you a hint, and you click on reminders, a message will pop up giving you the hints that have been used. I just run with the registry debug enabled and when I'm usually in an activity with an NPC hit tilde, it will show all the 'hint's for that NPC at once. This way if you have intimacy with several NPCs, you can keep their lists straight! @MRM18870, I am no modder but looking at your list I am not sure if you have anything that conflicts. We both run several of the same mods so I am sorry but I can't help you with the dancing. My guys don't seem to want to dance all that much. I do have a thought, when you say you use dancing, do you ever use it for the quicky 'fuck'? Where you get a selection of dancing, toes, tits and a couple other selections? I'm not even sure if that is an intimacy mod or perhaps Unethical Deeds? I've never tried that dancing selection at all. If that's the one you're talking about I'd need to make sure if it was intimacy or not. I've seen it pop up but again, I've not used the choices, only titfuck.
t3589 Posted September 27, 2015 Author Posted September 27, 2015 Things are slowing down a little bit with my schedule so I should be able to get back to it here shortly. I'm going to try to get caught up this week, but I still don't have a lot of time to push forward full force. I haven't had access to my game box, let alone had time to play just for myself in what seems like ages. Thank you for your patience and I'm sorry about the delay. I really miss working on this project.
LadyM Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 Thank you for your patience and I'm sorry about the delay. I really miss working on this project. We know that! And we miss you but we're still hanging around and know when you get the time to return, you will. I just want to let everyone know I have a 'trick' or 'work-around' for when the Hotkey seems to stop working. All you need to do is talk to the NPC and select the SOI controls. Then select Rename. After you rename (you can keep the same name ) it will kick the conversation into gear, it might even recover the command that got stuck. Before posting this I have played several hours testing this theory and I can confirm it works in my game. I really hope it works in yours if the need arises.
MRM18870 Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 update regarding my "dance problem". After I had reinstalled New Vegas inclusive all mods I have the infinite dance problem again. To me it really seems that this part react very sensitive to one or some other mods, or maybe something in an ini file? At least I learned now how to get out of this via console as a workaround
LadyM Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 @MRM18870 Are you using your own music or the music that comes in the mod? Also, how did you get out of it via the console? I might need to do that for other problems I'm having with some other mods.
MRM18870 Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 I got out with clicking on my char, enter "playidle 00000014", tfc, tm and enableplayercontrols. Then save, quit the game and reload. Unfortunaly it did not work a second time ( i got a zoom out to infinity camera now ), so there must be a better methode. I just startet to experiment with those commands, maybe someone else knows more? No, I dont use a music mod
LadyM Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Yea, Aside from a possible conflict with a camera mod, I can't help you. I haven't had any trouble with the dancing.
nhl Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 I got out with clicking on my char, enter "playidle 00000014", tfc, tm and enableplayercontrols. Then save, quit the game and reload. I just startet to experiment with those commands, maybe someone else knows more? No, I dont use a music mod What works for me in those cases (which make me dread the impromptu dance offer now whereas that feature used to work fine) is: con_tfc con_togglemenus [to get player controls back by counteracting some commands in SOI's dance script] and then, to get rid of any leftover NX variables setting up the music and the dance: NX_ClrEVFl "SOI:Rad:" 2 RemoveItem xx01172B 999 1 [both commands are run on the player. xx stands for Intimacy's index in your load order, the item removed being the token that enables SOI to play music] NX_ClrEVFl "SOI:Act:" 2 NX_ClrEVFl "SOIntimacy:Activity" 2 [both commands are run on all characters involved] If it works, your partner should walk up to your character and say their "Activity complete" line. And if I'm way off the mark or have forgotten anything, I hope somone with more intimate knowledge of the inner workings of the mod (wink wink, nudge nudge, say no more) can correct me.
LadyM Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 Hey, does anyone know a command to force the hotkey to work? If you have the rename option you can use that but I've found not all the NPCs have that option so I'm back to not being able to converse with the NPC via the mod. I'm close to proposing and now I can't get it to work, my only option is to start over and that sucks. Any console commands will be most welcome and appreciated! edit, even a console command that would allow me to rename the NPC. That might snap it out of the loss of the hotkey.
7KeysCurtain Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 [...] edit, even a console command that would allow me to rename the NPC. That might snap it out of the loss of the hotkey. Don't know if it will work: http://geck.bethsoft.com/index.php?title=SetNameEx Example in console: SetNameEx Claire How ever it does not allow the use of spaces in a name such as: SetNameEx Claire The Slut Downside is the names you set won't stick/save after re-launching the game or loading a save. (Atleast for me they don't?) It would be nice if names set with SetNameEx were saved to the .nvse file under your .fos save seeing it being a NVSE function. Perhaps (Maybe) there is another/better console command someone else knows with the ability of set names not getting lost on game load.

I'll give this a try and see if it might snap them back into action. The rename doesn't stay with the SOI feature either so I can live with that. I'll give it a try! EDIT: The renaming didn't work. Also the renaming no longer works when it's available to try to unstick the hotkey. With the upgrade of the sexout NG series, it knocked it out completely so I have to start over with my relationship that was going on for over 200 cycles. What a huge bummer. T, hurry back! We need you! Edit Edit: T, I think the biggest thing that needs to be worked on when you return is the loss of the hotkey or when the mod stops working and it does (I don't know if it is hotkey related or just the mod stops after a period of time). If you can implement a way we can restart the mod without losing our data built up from hours of playtime I think that would be the most valuable course of action when you return.

Don't bother with "con_" when typing in the console -- those commands are NVSE shortcuts to console commands for use in scripts, but you can just directly use the console commands as "TFC" and "ToggleMenus". ;-) I also recommend jogging the NPC out of any frozen AI/animations by opening the console, clicking the NPC (roll the mousewheel after clicking if you can't click the NPC correctly), checking their reference ID at the top, and then typing 'pushactoraway [refID] 1". This will cause them to ragdoll, which normally resets their animations and AI state. Don't forget the always-helpful "EVP" (EvaluatePackage) command to break them out of any scripted package funk -- but use that one as a last resort, since they'll revert to their vanilla unscripted packages instead of whatever the mod wants them to do. I've never had a problem with the hotkey either -- even when certain NPCs become completely unresponsive, which is a New Vegas problem, it still works fine on other NPCs...
t3589 Posted October 19, 2015 Author Posted October 19, 2015 Hmmm, not sure about any of the above? Give me some time to get my install caught up and updated and I'll start working on this again.
LadyM Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 I only tried renaming to snap the mod back into action. Sometimes it worked but I have found out since then all NPCs don't have the rename option. Yesterday when I updated all the mods (specifically the sexout NG suite) SOI was totally knocked out and I had to start over with my couple and he's an npc I could rename but at that point nothing worked at all on ANY of my old saves. That's what was so sad about it all. It affects all my saves from that couple. Essentially the rename has nothing to do with my problem, it was a hopeful 'trick' to try to get the mod working again without having to disable intimacy or uninstall/reinstall. Hmmm, not sure about any of the above? Give me some time to get my install caught up and updated and I'll start working on this again. Oh T, it would be fabulous to see your return! The mod is the best there has ever been and I say that from my heart, you've got such a great idea with it and I just love it even to this day despite having to start over with my couple yesterday. I've never had a problem with the SOI renaming function, however, which tells me that whatever is causing trouble is either an engine bug or some script crashes with one of the SOI quests. I've never had a problem with the hotkey either -- even when certain NPCs become completely unresponsive, which is a New Vegas problem, it still works fine on other NPCs... That's what it would be called I guess, unresponsive. You say it's a New Vegas problem? How's that? If there's anyway to work around this it would be appreciated! Are you able to get the unresponsive NPCs working again? I don't use the mod on everyone, only my companions. I don't care about everyone in Goodsprings set on the mod. It's my companions that are important to me and that's what I use the mod for, to further relationships. Of course I don't use the 'companions' that come in the game, I pick my own and use JIP which works great with this mod.
LadyM Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 You go T!! Edit: T, you have a missing item for libido: 00F1cb3. I love having the ID's next to their gifts, thank you! So far so good with everything else!
