karlpaws Posted June 3, 2017 Posted June 3, 2017 Obvious? Reminds me of a certain mod ;-) so my guess is Twilight Sepulcher That's what I'd guess as well, looking away from the larger doorway and back to the entrance.
Inte Posted June 4, 2017 Author Posted June 4, 2017 Obvious? Reminds me of a certain mod ;-) so my guess is Twilight Sepulcher Correct! I wander where that certain mod got it from. I don't think I posted this before.

spoonsinger Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 "My first guess is somewhere south of Dawnstar" That narrows is down I'm going to say somewhere near, (but south of), Fort Neugrad.
Grey Cloud Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 Did you both spot the skellie leaning against the tree? Fort Neugrad - Southfringe Sanctum area.
hexenhaus Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 Did you both spot the skellie leaning against the tree? I do not recall that particular scene, but i am guessing Dawnstar because of the perspective; facing north and downwards with a fort to the north. There are maybe 3 forts which would fit the general landmarks and all in the north-east. Edit: @ Spoonsinger: I think you nailed it. And the Book in the picture is The Warrior's Charge

karlpaws Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 I thought the skeleton was nearer Skybound watch but I was wandering around there later and couldn't find it. I thought maybe the fort icon was Helgen, but it wasn't to the north either. I am trying a new green overhaul, but dislike its inclusion of snow in the north parts. There are still rainy and snowy weathers too, unlike the SCO mod. On the other hand it has a much better grass layer but I'm not sure how much of that is the other grass mod it suggested. for Grey Cloud and anyone else: (Spring Forest Overhaul) http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/84247/? And a shot that might have enough in the very background for a guess...

Punga Posted June 5, 2017 Posted June 5, 2017 Anise's Cabin is correct. Have this here sock. It was Brenuin's. You can put a potato in it. Eww. karlpaws Posted June 5, 2017 Posted June 5, 2017 And a shot that might have enough in the very background for a guess... Dragonbridge. Not Dragonbridge. There is a road out of frame to the left, and the roof line left to right in the middle is part of a village wall. Pretty sure that's vanilla.
Grey Cloud Posted June 5, 2017 Posted June 5, 2017 Does Falkreath have a sawmill? Also if that is theLonghouse on the right, the shot would be taken from somewhere near the barracks. I was thinking Ivarstead with the inn on the right but it looks more like a Longhouse. Could be Riverwood but the inn/Longhouse problem remains. Not Morphal - mill is too far out of town. Just been watching 'The Senile Scribbles: Skyrim Parody' on youtube. Clever stuff and funny.

Just been watching 'The Senile Scribbles: Skyrim Parody' on youtube. Clever stuff and funny. Closer, but there isn't a longhouse in the shot. I am using the Expanded Towns and Cities and I think there is an ETaC house in view. Ivarstead does not have a wall in vanilla or with ETaC so that can be ruled out. Falkreath does have a sawmill, which is what the buliding on the left is. I think you could (or would if the camera had a long lens) see the miller at work. I'll find a bucket later (I lost the one I had, needed charcoal to make steel) but I might have to award a winner based on best guess with all the mods I have disguising the location.
Grey Cloud Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 I'm stumped. That big building on the right is confusing me. I've tried 'process of elimination' and managed to eliminate everywhere.
Grey Cloud Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 Heartwood mill? None of the mills have a wall/covered walkway things.
karlpaws Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 I guess my mods make too many changes to be recognizable. I was looking at Riverwood from the direction you approach with Raloff/Hadvar and I thought the wall/gate was original but moved, with the camp for the Whiterun guards that show up after you reach the Jarl moved outside. Guess I was wrong.

Guess I was wrong. I said I'd thought Riverwood. Here's my view from about the same spot as your original. Pure vanilla apart from the climate overhaul. Notice the absence of large building at the right.

Inte Posted June 7, 2017 Author Posted June 7, 2017 There might not be any clues here. Indeed. Indeed.
karlpaws Posted June 7, 2017 Posted June 7, 2017 thinking that's not a vanilla location and going with the subject matter, it makes me think of the Captured Dreams shop.
