Dolcett = spitroast? there's an item, and an animation for that in the ZazAnimPack, not sure if it's been used as part of a full mod, but I seem to remember some thread, of at least a mod WIP with the player cooking and being spun around on the spitroast. and that was many months ago from now, so it's likely out. so if that's what you're looking for, you're in luck lol. all you should have to do is search "spitroast" or whatever
Wuteverz Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 So, i see planned that Wispmother's shot will also wrap the player in wisp wrapping much like spiders, may i suggest something?, ankle/wrist wraps at 1-2 level wrapping, that would be kinda neat.

I rewrote the escape system and cave quest to better integrate a follower (using the vanilla, one-humanoid, one follower system only) as well as a more interactive escape rather than just clicking options in a message box all the time. The AI packages on spiders have been updated, and that web wall that seems to give people trouble has also been addressed. More details when the actual release comes around. Right now, I'm waiting on my testers to give me some results.

While I feel I'm making some progress, and it runs quite stable on my machine, I've no doubt others might come across some issues. It has been allegedly reported that being taken to the cave can cause CTDs. You have been warned there, and I thank anyone in advance willing to test it out for me. See the mod description for what's been changed. The biggest, noticeable change is the rewriting of the escape system. There are no more message prompts to select from to choose your route of escape, instead you now actually press buttons to struggle and escape. Once again, YOU MIGHT CTD upon being kidnapped to the cave. I haven't personally experienced this, but so far I've only had one of my four testers experience this (that's a 25% chance!).

(Lydia just stairs at me while I wiggle in the ground lol). -The newest versions of the mod should fix that, actually.-Multiple caves would be a nightmare to allow for, since not only would Kazyn have to create each one from scratch (or otherwise pointlessly reuse the same cave over and over), but there would have to be some kind of function for determining where you go. -It all comes down to technical limitations. Creating specialized spooling animations would take the work of a skilled animator, especially since a complex spider animation should technically be even more difficult than a human animation. As for Lydia's inaction, it's a matter of reprogramming the AI...which is not necessarily a task worth the time or risk.

This is described on the mod page (http://www.loverslab.com/files/file/845-arachnophobia-expansion/), but spiders in the wood can entangle players and followers, which makes them more dangerous in combat. If the player (and player only) fail to escape that, they and their follower (only one) are taken to the cave and cocooned. If you escape the cave, it all happens the same way. Although it is called an expansion, this mod is separate from MsLeeches' version. It requires zaz and a proper skeleton, though.

Determining which cave the player would go to, based on location and whatnot would actually be pretty simple now that I've a better grasp on how things are handled when it comes to determining player location. Finally, as Stiltzkin said, I did not make the animations. They are the work and creations of the author(s) of the ZaZ Animation Pack. This mod depends on that mod to function properly. It provides the web "equip" meshes and textures as well as the animations. I am no animator. Ms Leech's mod is not required (and not recommended with this mod) and will probably conflict with this mod. Any spider with a bite or web spit attack can web you anywhere in the world. Also be sure to read the mod description on how to escape in the latest version. It has changed dramatically.
Mashi Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 Well radiant being radiant, you could use a few locations(caves, ruins, etc) that already have spiders(and for anything else in the future) near the entrance/inside as well as your own cave. Though, it might just be too much of a pita. Though, since you're adding in extra stuff it may work to play along in the future for any other additions you might want to add.

Speaking of the cave, would it be possible to have a decorative, expendable NPC to two struggling in a cocoon in the cave since it is a bit hard to see the character when they are cocooned?
essedess Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 An Idea just jumped in my head......random "Spider pack" attacks on towns and such. Like the vampires.....but with many more legs I wonder what it would take to create that?
