I'm experiencing an odd bug that apparently nobody else is: When I export the settings, I get the message saying it failed to save. But that settings file is in fact where it's supposed to be, and looking at it everything appears to be correct. It also fails to load. I'm launching through MO - could this be the culprit?

Could be, as I also use MO and have gotten that message. Have you left the files in the override folder or did you make a mod out of it? I have left files in override since I don't switch profiles at all.

The file is getting exported to my documents folder, so nothing goes to overwrite. I get the sense that this is probably not supposed to happen. This is the only mod I've seen use JContainers to save a text file, so I'm not sure what's happening. I think I'll try moving it to the data directory and see what happens.

[J'zargo voice, on returning to him with his exploding srcrolls of fire shield]

Erm, no, that was not supposed to happen.

Unless you have MO setup vastly different from mine, everything done in game stays in the MO folder. The only things in my Documents folder (Win 7) is in the Games\Skyrim\Logs and \Saves folders.

Okay, I'm still alive, and thought I'd provide an update on my lack of recent content.

Over the past few months, I've been really burned out on Apropos, and by extension, Skyrim. I actually don't remember the last time I actually played Skyrim, but it was over a year ago. Apropos is a major reason for this; in it's current format, it's very apparent that I would have never actually finished the database. I was writing too much content for an ever increasing number of animations, and it kind'a took over.

With that in mind, I've decided on a new approach. More simplistic, more straightforward, and aiming not to provide an erotic novel's worth of content for every individual animation. The aim is to add a nice amount of fluff without either requiring another year's worth of writing and letting me get back into the game, and with the messages being complimentary to the sex rather than dominating it.

So, hopefully I'll have something within a few weeks that will just work for all situations rather than requiring an update every time someone brings out a new animation.

Good news everyone! I would propose to help, but my knowledge of the english language wouldn't generate any arousal in the players.

It occurred to me that someone could always translate the files that someone else writes into various languages.

Well, when I export, I get a message that it couldn't save and the path is to the documents folder. When I look, the file is indeed there. This is the only mod that does this. My MO is setup as in the STEP guide, so it's not that. Something wonky must be in my load order, though I put JContainers at the end. I need to pair down my mods for stability anyway, so I'll see if it works correctly in a more barebones setup.

Any chance the new version of apropos come out before the SkyrimSE (28th-OCT-2016)?

Any reason you think that's going to make any difference whatsoever?

That "new" version of the game is absolutely not going to support any of the Sexlab mods for quite some time if ever unless someone miraculously manages to get SKSE and SkyUI working with it.

hey, guys. just a heads up. i tried contacting the mod author about this error, but no luck.

when you EXPORT SETTINGS the file path directory is screwed up. / instead of \  (you'll see it clearly in the popup)

does anyone know how to edit this?

Any chance the new version of apropos come out before the SkyrimSE (28th-OCT-2016)?

- SKSE team has confirmed that they will update the script extender for Skyrim SE. The time frame is open though. It will likely take months, before SKSE for SE is available in a way that it is good to use.

- SkyUI support is likely, but pending. It is possible that someone else needs to take the update project from the team, because the original team does not currently have time or direct plans to work with it. This will be the bottleneck with several mods, until new version or workaround has been released.

- Most mods should work with Skyrim SE, but they will need at least to be saved through updated Creation Kit. More complex mods (which especially points to adult mods) may require to be reworked at least to some point, depending on how CK will handle things. Based of FO4 CK, the amount of needed changes may not be that high, but we do not have 100% knowledge about that.

Keep your copy of current Skyrim, when SE comes out. It is a separate item, so we are likely able to play both at the same time. For now, biggest anticipation toward SE is the hope it would be updated to DirectX 11, which would fix the DX9 4GB memory problem that Microsoft made for Windows versions past 7. Not that it is a game breaking problem, but something that most of us would be happy to see solved.

That's similar to what I'm experiencing. What's your load order?

So I started over with my mod list, and I'm still getting it trying to save to the documents folder. I moved the file into where it probably should be (data\JCUser\Apropos\MCMUserSettings.txt) and that didn't load either. I guess I'll strip it down to a pure sexlab install and try from there, but I'm not holding my breath.

load order has nothing to do with a simple typo in his program.  Mod organizer had this bug a year ago. it's just a simple human error.

Only mods I have now are

SKSE

Papyrus

DLCs (cleaned)

USLEP

Unofficial High Resolution Patch

SkyUI w/ FISS patch

Sexlab Framework 1.62

Sexlab Aroused Redux 27c

Apropos beta 2015-04-24

Slavetats

FISS

JContainers

And it STILL tries to export to d:\Users\me\Documents\My Games\Skyrim\JCUser\Apropos\MCMUserSettings.txt

Which it does just fine, but then it can't find it.

Gosh, that's an old bug, I know its annoying. Sorry folks. I'm still finishing the process of moving so I need some time.

Okay, cool. Do you have any idea why it's occurring? I'd like to patch it myself in the meantime.

I've tried this out but the wear and tear is blank and the messages seem to be lacking in words, example: <NPC>'s pounds your wanting .  So no words for the genitals

Double check the requirements. Sounds like some stuff is missing from your install.

Requires: SKSE 1.7.0+, JContainers 3.0+, SexLab 1.6x, SexLab Aroused, Slavetats 1.0.5 (optional)

The only thing I don't have is Slavetats and that is an optional

Yes, Slavetats is not required for normal description processing. Please follow the steps "HOW TO REPORT PROBLEMS" in the OP, regarding log files.

And load order might help too.

I don't use LOOT, I place Apropos as was stated in the installation guide on the first page, stating after Sexlab and Sexlab Aroused

Okay. It doesn't have to be the first ESP loaded. It shouldn't matter since it doesn't make vanilla edits, but just in case I'd try moving down to at least after SOS.

My settings on Apropos.....I couldn't find any Apropos log and made sure the settings were turned out for logging

Did you enable Papyrus logging? This is basic stuff.
