Groovtama Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014  I've create a HDT UNP body with Bodyslide 2 (with the UNP add on) and them I'm using this page .xml preset... But sometimes I've got the FPS drops.(I've renamed the "NPC prebelly" to "HDT belly" in the XML).Actuallly to keep it simpler I'm using the .xml preset only... I've removed all the other files (like the havok object and the .ini).Still I got the FPS drop.   Without posting a hdt log file with what bone/npcs causing the slowdowns nobody can help you  Hmm... it works perfectly if i use vanilla race, but when i try to use custom race (Ningheim also using PCEA) it doesnt work even if i have "HDT Havok Object" equipped.  Did i miss some steps or missed to add something ? Ningheim has its own seperate skeleton.

Sorry and thanks for the answer Groovtama

I feel like a total noob here... Sorry. I see the hdt log file should be in SKSE/plugin directory... but there is none there. I've tried activate the normal papyrus log and debbungin on the skyrim .ini, still no Hdt log file. (I'm using MO).  thank for you patience Groov.

shinji72 Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Here it is my log. I was using XPMs 2.06, And UNP body made with bodyslide. and the HDT All In One 14.28 version (Edit 5 by Daie). The bounciness is working very neat still when I enter the game the FPS drop substantially...  Help!Â
shinji72 Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 I can see there is an error with "NPC belly non binding. Bone doesn't exist". Should i rename also "Npc belly" to HDT belly?
fizzybutt Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 That's happening because A: your having some script lag and an npc somewhere is being hateful with the HDT (Like I do from time to time because I have hdt tails, ...everywhere and ribbons and all kindsa stuff my computer can't handle  ) B: You've got the wrong skeleton, or you're using a custom race and have the wrong skeleton matched up, or (I've heard child races sometimes causes it cause the skeleton is wonky) A stand alone npc somewhere is causing it because it's using a different skeleton than what needs to be used, C: default to section a where a vanilla npc is somehow, someway causing hdt script lag.
Groovtama Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Some NPC\Race\Custom Follower with seperate skeleton
shinji72 Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Groov and Fizz thanks. I think i knows who the npcs are. The child of rs child. Now how to solve the problem? There is a way to remove / cut that npc belly section (or even the whole npcs section) from the xml file?
Saeros Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 I have the same problem with "Rs Childens".. try to change children skeleton with groov xpmse 2.06 (just copy male and female skeleton in rs children meshes folder).. this solve my fps drop issue

I've just avoided the new skeleton update altogether while people figure it out.   you'll want the 1.93 legacy XPMSE skeleton.  december 2013 version of bodyslide  Also, if you've got RS Children installed, you'll need to switch the female kids skeleton with XPMSE and change the height scale in nifscope.  dunno if im breaking rules here, but i've attatched my RS children fix. Only problem with it is that the head scale is a bit too small, but I'm not sure which node in nifscope controls the scale. There's no [NPC Head] that I could see on first glance.  this skeleton is 1.93 skeleton_female_kids.nif
fizzybutt Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 The npc_belly naming doesn't have the same meaning as it normally would in this case, it is however the nodes are named for the skeleton. I don't have the rs children issue(though I do run the npc children with rs) I get it from time to time from Ysolda or that other female that runs around Whiterun, and sometimes those uppity Altmer women in Solitude give me the errors. It all depends on how hard my pc is struggling that day lol. My log will be squeaky clean on one run through the town and the next log will be riddled with 15-20 second sets of errors.Â

I've tested the emilio skeleton in game and it seems to improve the situation. (i'll have to install Nif myself and start playing with it myself). But the fps is not completely fixed. Maybe I should replace also the male children skeleton? Emilio, could I use the same skeleton for the girls and just rename it. (maybe boys will end up with breast bones, but since we are takling about child, there wont be any visible difference).Â
Saeros Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 @emilio please explain to me a thing: Why should I resize the skeleton of children? I copied the XPMSE version 2.06 (both male and female) and renamed in  ..\meshes\actors\character\character assets female\skeleton_female.nif --> ..\meshes\actors\character\ranaline\character assets\skeleton_female_kids.nif ..\meshes\actors\character\character assets\skeleton.nif --> \meshes\actors\character\ranaline\character assets\skeletonkids.nif  and I have no problem with children-size in my game.. and FPS drop is gone away for "small-head" in RS children installer there is an option to make it larger (if you want) Â

Maybe some dirty leftover or conflicts with other mods.

For boys you might want to try the male skeleton. If you're still having FPS issues, be sure that all the skeletons you're using in game are either 2.06 or 1.93, and that the HDT .xml reflects that with the switched naming conventions.I only guessed that scale would need to be change, I dunno if it's even necessary with 1.93, but I did it with my 1.93 skeleton.
shinji72 Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 SHINJI72 hardcore gamer, Yotuber mod reviewer and now.... MODDER!(what's next? International playboy flying in an armored suit?)So I've dropped the skeleton from 2.06 in the RS children directory... Both male and female as Saeros suggested. Solved completely the fps drop issue. But the kids... where a bit.... weird (see picture)Â
shinji72 Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 I tweaked a bit with nifskope... And here is the result. I'm happy hereby to announce first ever SHINJI72 mod.The RS CHILDREN HDT patch.... You love children? You love jiggling? You NEED THIS! Â Â PS: For real. It does improves it a bit, like in the pictures. But I just modified the head node (a bit larger and a bit lower) and the neck one (a bit lower). There is still a big seam line problem with the neck and the body. I sure this need a little more work for someone more expert than me (did I said it's my first mod!)Â Shinji72_RSchildrenHDT_patch.zip
