I'd be happy to add them, if:

1) The original artists give permission

2) They're packaged up as proper tattoo packs, so users can just download and install them with no hassles.

So far, everything posted fails at least one of those tests, but I'm looking forward to being able to add new tattoo packs. I can't wait, really.

I short: B3lisario said "Ok".

I was like:

Good time of the day.

I repacked textures from your UNP pantyhose overlays for use with SlaveTats v1.0 and later. Can we include this repack as an optional download among other SlaveTats plugins?

And then he just:

Yes you can.

I just found this on the Nexus:

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/49853/?

These look like real tattoos, and since it's only for PC with that one, I figured I would just ask here so I can put them on NPCs.

Yes, it's pretty easy to convert RaceMenu tattoos into SlaveTats tattoos. You basically just have to put the texture files in the right place and create the tattoo registry for them.

Ok...how do I do that?  I haven't gotten programs like GIMP, the CK, NPCEdit, and the like to work properly, so I am very hesitant to try and create something, even when using something else as a basis.  To make things worse, my computer is now incapable of letting the user (me) create folders, so I have to create copies of existing folders and change them.

That's... an interesting problem.

The instructions are on the SlaveTats download page (and the first post in this thread) under the "For Artists" section. You can skip all the bits about actually creating the texture files, just copy the existing ones into the right location.

Phew!  Would I be able to send it to you as a .zip for use in SlaveTats?

Well, my computer will NOT let me create the necessary names for the files, particularly, the \ in the names.  :(

The slash is the directory separator, so Textures\Actors\Character means "The Character folder inside the Actors folder inside the Textures folder"

Well, I feel silly now. :P

EDIT: Okay, should I sort the sleeve and arm tattoos as Body or Hands?  Same for thigh and lower leg; Body or Feet?

Made a .json file for ekirts ykcul skintextures.

I renamed the .dds files when making the text file so when you download, "All Files New Format (Transparent).7z" from Skintextures rename the files:

femalebody_1 - After Effect I (transp.) to after_effects_1

femalebody_1 - After Effect II (transp.) to after_effects_2

femalebody_1 - After Effect III (transp.) to after_effects_3

femalebody_1 - After Effect IV (transp.) to after_effects_4

femalebody_1 - Dirt I (transp.) to dirt_1

femalebody_1 - Dirt II(transp.) to dirt_2

femalebody_1 - Dirt III (transp.) to dirt_3

femalebody_1 - Scarred I (transp.) to scarred_1

femalebody_1 - Scarred II (transp.) to scarred_2

femalebody_1 - Scarred III (transp.) to scarred_3

femalebody_1 - Scratches Cuts and Marks I (transp.) to cuts_1

femalebody_1 - Scratches Cuts and Marks II(transp.) to cuts_2

femalebody_1 - Scratches Cuts and Marks III (transp.) to cuts_3

femalehead - Batterd (transp.) to face_battered

femalehead - Sob I (transp.) to sob_1

femalehead - Sob II (transp.) to sob_2

femalehead - Tears I (transp.) totears_1

femalehead - Tears II (transp.) to tears_2

femalehead - Tears III (transp.)  to tears_3

Sorry you had to do a bit of work, could only compress the package to 107 MB, which is beyond the upload limit and it won't allow be to upload the .json file by its self.

Only took a couple of minutes, but uncompressed those files are 1.18  GB, lol

Body, in both cases. Hands and Feet really means hands and feet.

Edit: Sorry, I overreacted a bit, because of sleep deprivation...

Basically what I originally wrote was something like that I contacted some of the larger Racemenu plugin authors and asked for redistribution rights or if we could work out a way to make something for slavetats available, and then goofed around a bit about that you should show yourselfs from your nice side. (Which now seems kinda ironic ^^)

Edit: You didn't have to delete your post. I was just commenting on the idea that this crowd (myself very much included) would make a good impression on somebody who wasn't a 'native'.

For a while now, I've never been able to get face tatoos to work. Even on humans, really. I'm not sure -why-, what info should I post to get help for this? All the other tattoos show up, but nothing for the face... no cheek tattoos, no running mascara to play up the cocksucker personality I was writing her into. Blech.

Should I post a load order? Some kind of log? I'm willing to dig for info here. I wonder if it has to do with my expanded hair mod, or CoverKhajiits, or something.

@murfk:

I just noticed something odd. Nioveride allows more textures to be set in the file "nioveride.ini".

The default number of textures is 6.

Changing the ini file allows more textures to be used concurrently in character construction, but doesn't change number of textures in your mod.

In your mod, did you hard code the 6 for the body or use an array based on Nioveride's variables?

Seeing as how I put cat whiskers on an argonian yesterday (which looked strangely awesome, by the way), I can say that in principle it should work. Why don't you try this:

  1. Turn on Papyrus logging
  2. Start a new game (don't overwrite your real one! This is just for testing things.)
  3. Create a Khajit character
  4. As soon as you have control of the character and MCM has finished initializing menus, apply a facial tat
  5. Exit the game
  6. Send me the Papyrus.0.log file

There's a pretty good chance I'll be able to see what's gone wrong from that.

I hard coded it, for two reasons: First, too many overlays stresses the Skyrim engine badly. Second, the MCM interface needs separate coding for each slot, which means the number can't be dynamic.

I could work around the second problem, but there's not much point given the first.

Ok   here is my first contribution .. all authored by me  all make up ...
-Both feet nails cBBE       ( since the included texture does not work for me)
- Moles                            ( a few variants face and neck)
-  Lipstick    ( heavy CBBE and smaller UNP )
- Eye shadow   and lashes     ( experimentalist at  this stage 3 tries)
it is called makeup 2 pack and it fits at same place as makeup pack with no overwrite and could be installed alone!

PROBLEM RESOLVED WITH AUTHOR'S HELP.

Mmkay. Here's what was wrong, here's how I fixed it -- too many people don't post how they end up fixing things, myself included.

FIRST of all. even though I was up to date on SkyUI, turns out they had gone from manual install to NMM install somewhere along the line, and a bunch of old-script files were in the SKSE plugins folder... not sure on exact folder. When I went to reinstall SKYUI to be sure, it actually popped up a box (I was using Nexus Mod Manager) saying "You left old files lying around that will interfere with SKYUI! Clean em up, dummy!" and I did so.

This did not fix my problem, but removed many errors from my papyrus log.

Next I discovered that while I had RaceMenu installed (and Chargen Extension to enhance it)... It was out of date.

I had version 2.1.something and the new version is 2.9. I didn't plan on it getting updated, so it flew under the radar entirely.

If you have problems with facial tatoos not showing up, update Racemenu! Thanks much to murfk for helping me out!
