ScreamingSquid218 Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 just hearing the lore about hybrids is getting me excited! Keep up the good work. IF i had modding skills, i would actually volunteer to help with the meshes.
rangedphoenix Posted February 24, 2014 Author Posted February 24, 2014 Now my game is crashing every time I try starting the scene. Excuse me while I go find a corner to go cry in at how useless the papyrus log is. *Edit* Its good to hear that somebody enjoys the lore so that I don't feel like I am completely wasting my time..heh... Still crashing every time though. Looks like a Monday release won't be a thing afterall. *Edit2* Any thoughts on a giant scenario btw? *Edit3* I think I finally got to the source of the crashing. (It wasn't my mod, if that's what you were wondering.) But yeah, all of the dialogue up to the first stage of corruption is now written and scripted, and working. Unfortunately, I'm going to need to tinker with the magic effects and make them exclusive to my mod again. I'm sick of other mods that screw around with vanilla assets. <.< *Edit4* Phew, working on dialogue is extremely tedious. It's going to take quite a while before I have everything running again. *Edit5* I believe I will be going for a relatively barebones release for version 0.9. Its mostly going to be a proof of concept, and will be much more plot driven than the mod was previously. It will revolve around relatively simple dialogue sets with Tigras for progression your corruption, as well as curing it. Once you become fully corrupted, Tigras will basically become a sexbot, for now. Rest assured I'll be expanding it out as quickly as possible once I have a fully functional release. Those of you that have been reading through the lore I put out will probably understand my intentions with Tigras's dialogue sets. I did leave a pretty obvious spoiler, for those of you who can put two and two together. At any rate, Tigras WILL be becoming a follower, and will (hopefully) be interesting enough to be worth keeping around. He'll certainly be powerful enough, as he scales at five times the players level. My goal is to make him as interesting as someone like Vilja someday. (Or Titus, or Fenris, for you sexout breeder veterans)
atrix Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Awesome, nice to hear the progress, and yeah... Never played FO:NV without Fenris after loading that mod up. I like the ideas about making the claws one handed weapons/daggers. I'm not sure if you've already decided as much, but the corruption should probably be counted as light armor, since if you're not smithing or enchanting (which this char won't be) the major sources of progression will end up being combat style and armor advancement.
Ashra XIII Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 You mentioned removing the Mask spell in one of your posts, rangedphoenix. Isn't that the spell that allows the player to go into town at all, or am I thinking of something completely different? It's been awhile and I may not be keeping all this straight. If that is the case, is the player no longer able to into towns again, or do townsfolk and guards simply not auto-aggro?

That isn't true though. By the time I'm done, there will be perk trees for three different types of combat, and within these perk trees, I'd also like to add different "sub-styles" of combat. For example, one of the planned perks for the bloodclaw tree is a perk that will allow you to steal away an opponet's health when you are fighting using your claws. So one park of the tree may focus on keeping yourself alive by dealing damage, while another part of the tree will make you become stronger as your health drops lower. (I use the term "tree" loosely here, don't expect anything too fancy.) You mentioned removing the Mask spell in one of your posts, rangedphoenix. If that is the case, is the player no longer able to into towns again, or do townsfolk and guards simply not auto-aggro? In the latest update(3.0 and 3.1), I made hardcore mode (what you are talking about) a completely optional thing. I got the feeling that nobody was really liking this feature, so I didn't figure it would be worth my time to add back in while I'm completely redoing things. Plus it will fit in more nicely with the new lore I'm working with for hybrids. (Yeah, their lore is evolving as my ideas change. I've always thought lore was a flexible medium that can be changed when needed, personally.) *Edit* In spite of all the problems I've had along the way, still going to shoot for a release today. *Edit2* All of the dialogue up to stage 4 corruption has been written. (That isn't to say I won't do more with dialogue once 0.9 is out, right now it's a bit clunky, but still workable.) Edit3 All of the "dialogue" is fully working. I think you guys will enjoy seeing a new side of Tigras versus just "rape wolf lol". *Edit4* Now I'm working on getting things tidied up inside of the Creation kit so that everything is working properly. Then I just need to re-add arousal events, and I'll be ready for release.

(I use the term "tree" loosely here, don't expect anything too fancy.) I see what you're trying to go for there, and that sounds cool. I wasn't clear enough, I meant actual level advancement to earn perk points. Let's suppose you don't go stealthy or magic, leaving you leveling via melee. The only level up/earn perk points *experience* you'd earn without some type of game system revamp (experience points instead of skill advancement) is through speechcraft, and one handed weapons. So, when I was talking about advancement I actually meant leveling up. If you're only advancing 1 skill during combat leveling up would be really slow, and that's what I was trying to say earlier. It'd be equivalent to running around in robes without casting magic and using only daggers, which would cause you to advance really slowly in Skyrim under the standard progression since it bases advancement towards the next level on skills increasing in points.
rangedphoenix Posted February 24, 2014 Author Posted February 24, 2014 Hm, I think I understand what you mean better now. You make a valid point. A hybrid should have plenty of things to level up though, depending on what they want to do. Personally, I feel hybrids would be very good at the following: Alchemy, One-handed, two-handed, archery, sneak, as well as any of the magic schools. Its really up to the player if they want to limit their own progression like that. The problem is, there isn't really a good way to balance the armor values so that they are "fair". Especially with mods like SkyRe out there that don't handle armor values very well (no offense to t3nd0.) It's much easier to balance a perk that just makes you take 25% less damage, than it is to balance a piece of armor that covers three pieces of your body, and can be gotten at any level. I'll look into alternate means of progression at some point, of course. I'd like to have "pack quests" that can help you earn perk points to use towards your specializations. That's a ways off though.

I'm probably a weird Skyrim player because I avoid smithing, enchanting, and archery+stealth (too powerful) and try to make concept characters that are intended to be challenging on normal difficulty without being annoyingly weak or overpowered. There are some solid ideas in there and I look forward to whatever you come up with. It's also not like anyone is stopping me from going into the CK and making a few tweaks to balance it for whatever suits my whims when I'm playing.
rangedphoenix Posted February 24, 2014 Author Posted February 24, 2014 Ah lovely, the sex scene start CTDs are back. So much for getting this finished today. *Edit* Anyone have an opinion on a flower type mutation? Not sure how I would implement it, but the meshes are there, assuming I could get permission for them. *Edit2* Arousal Events have been re-coded. Just need to test them. If they are working, all I need to do is work on the claws a bit more to make sure you can't lose them prematurely. Might just half-ass it for now though. Well, thanks to my skyrim being general shit, I can't test the arousal events at all. I'm 99% certain they will be working, however, so I'm going to move on for now. After I release v0.9, I'm going to do a clean reinstall of my skyrim. *Edit3* The claws script works flawlessly. At least i have that going for me. Going to replace the werewolf hybrid armors' scripts with something similar later I believe. Only problem is that if a script does a removeitem() on it, it will break things, but that's the script author's problem, not mine. Going to work on some brand spankin' new CBBE bodyslide meshes now, with the fixed texture path. *Edit* Made some of the best versions of the armor yet, but 3 of the 4 crash outfit studio/bodyslide when it tries to load them... I wish Outfit Studio didn't hate me so much... (Note to self, learn 3DS max, and soon). *Edit2* I don't think there ever was a program that makes me want to rage as much as outfit studio at times. Got all four mesh sets working, and then two of them just decide to break for the hell of it. -.- *Edit3* Fixed some massive bugs in the arousal code. Thankfully my game let me get far enough to test it. Going to release v0.9 shortly now so that I can see if the scenes make you guys crash or anything like that. *Edit4* Done. Now its time to start cleaning up my skyrim folder...

Love the idea of a flower type mutation after all plants need fun too. being polinated then forced to "spread" the seed.
rangedphoenix Posted February 24, 2014 Author Posted February 24, 2014 Haha, I would need animations for that, otherwise I would probably just have to borrow the spriggans from Sanguine's Debauchery... Unless I get creative. Unfortunately.... Shit, just realized that I deleted the quickie assets I made for that outfit when I nuked my Skyrim folder. Oh well, it was easy to adapt anyways. Anyways, I'm probably going to be out of commission for a few days while I reinstall skyrim and some of the crucial mods, and get everything set up again. I'll still be lurking around to help, but I can't do any update work for a little while. It needed to be done sooner or later though. *Edit* Ooh, just found something called aradia living armor. Don't know how I haven't found something like that before, but I think if it was retextured, it could make a good chaurus armor... *Edit2* At some point I'd like to take a crack at giving hybrids something to wear, for the people that just loathe going naked. It would still be extremely revealing, however. *Edit3* Redid the lore of hybrids on the OP. I suggest taking a read. I think it'll show my intentions fairly well.
Nivellen Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Awesome job again, phoenix. Had a little time to test 0.9 a bit. Unfortunately it crashed more often than worked. It did work eventually after a few reloads, but i got the same crash in a few different places. It happens when you try to advance the stages through the dialogue, going into the animations. Could be completely on my end, but i thought i'd mention it. I eventually got through all of the stages, and so far at full corruption it runs just like it did before. although i didn't test it too much longer at that point, my time ran short. Couple quick questions, i recall you saying you wanted to put in 'claws' combat, of sorts. Is that in? Is a specialization needed to test it if so? Or is it as simple as unarmed haymakers. Thanks in advance. I love where you're going with this.
atrix Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 So, I ran through with a new char far enough to get fully transformed. I had some CTD's, but they stopped when I turned off a handful of the less stable mods I'm running. So far so good.
rangedphoenix Posted February 25, 2014 Author Posted February 25, 2014 Well shit, that was exactly the news I was hoping to NOT hear. To be honest, I have no clue what is causing those CTD's and when I asked TDF for help with it, he didn't know either. So... yeah... As for claw combat, right now its pretty basic. You get claws to fight with, and they are better than just fighting unarmed in basically every way. Bloodclaw spec will have perks that make them do awesome stuff though. They should also scale with any perks that boost daggers. (No, the 40% boost to daggers from bloodclaw spec doesn't stack with the 50% claw boost from it) Also, what do you guys think of Tigras so far? That's probably what I'm the most curious about.
Guest roylleh Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Male players shouldn't be able to progress in the quest by talking to Tigras. Please let me know if this isn't the case. I have something completely different planned for male dragonborns, and it may or may not involve a harem of horny hybrids at your beck and call... How about instead of having a completely different quest for males, you just keep the one quest and allow players to choose what kind of role they'd like to fill? In other words, you could do either male, female, or both. That would also greatly benefit users that like to play as futas.
rangedphoenix Posted February 25, 2014 Author Posted February 25, 2014 Well, for one, Tigras wouldn't ever find himself in a submissive role. That's actually one part where I plan to poke a bit of fun at Sexout Breeder, with how easy it was to switch between dominant and submissive. For two I can't really do it for males because I have no meshes whatsoever for them to use. I'm talking pretty distant future with those plans though, as I have a lot of world building to do before anything like it would be possible.

I'm entertained, but his first dialogue option, "My..you're awfully...passive for a werewolf" seems like it's supposed to trigger a Sexlab event, but nothing happens. /edit1: Additional Observation, claws weren't raising One-Handed skill. Going to update them to use One Handed skill in CK and see if that sorts it out. *it worked* /edit2: The permanent spell effects bestowed by hybrid form prevent completion of the Companions initiation quest without use of the console to advance the stage of C00 to 30. /edit3: An out of date version of SL Aroused was the cause of my CTD's. Somehow the 3rd person camera was getting aroused, talking shit, and then trying to rape the PC, updating to the 1/24 release fixed it.

BloodyHell Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 One question. UNPB users have to wait for compatibility update or is there another way around? I did try it out and when i got the first corruption level the textures and meshes were all wrong and clipping.

For some reason, when started by dialogue, it takes a while for the sexlab event to start. I have no idea why. Going to try using StartSex() next update instead of QuickStart() and see if that works. I was wondering about whether the claws would do that. Need to look into adding that into the mod. I have no idea why it would be blocking the companions quest, honestly. Which spell effect is it? I haven't really changed anything around spell effectwise from before. Still, I'd suggest staying away from those silver hand assholes though, you won't appreciate those silver weapons very much. ... *Edit2* At some point I'd like to take a crack at giving hybrids something to wear, for the people that just loathe going naked. Your exposure shouldn't increase too fast unless you head far up north. Especially if you wear a cloak. That's kind of intended, as two of the three packs live in the southern holds of skyrim, where they can stay warm more easily. One question. UNPB users have to wait for compatibility update or is there another way around? I did try it out and when i got the first corruption level the textures and meshes were all wrong and clipping. I'll be working on UNPB meshes later today. (After class). They need to have an updated folder path for both the meshes and textures. *Edit* No love for Tigras? /sadface
Yith Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 i play a male dragonborn, but personally i wouldn't mind being his breeder, my mouth and ass are his to use
atrix Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 *Edit* No love for Tigras? /sadface I enjoyed the dialogue he did have, if that's any consolation. ----------------------------------------------- With respect to the dialogue I mentioned, "My..you're awfully...passive for a werewolf" it doesn't trigger sex at all. The other dialogue options that trigger sex had a 4-5 second delay, but this wasn't at all annoying, and it did happen, just slower. The option mentioned responds with text that would indicate sex should happen, but it doesn't, As a followup on CTDs in the cave, they are still happening, only in the cave, and are I'm pretty sure they are from arousal related functions. If arousal is blocked the CTD's don't occur. A strange related side effect is the 3rd person camera is getting aroused in the cave, and this is evident by papyrus log entries and occasional arousal related dialogue. Can anyone else confirm this behavior? Camera: I bet you're an animal in bed! *Crash* As a side note on arousal, arousal related events (popup text/masturbation) seem to occur regardless of arousal level, making them ridiculously frequent. In blocking it at -2 to prevent CTD's due to rape by third person camera, the events will still go off at very frequent intervals.
rangedphoenix Posted February 25, 2014 Author Posted February 25, 2014 Look at the MCM menu again. Its there for more than just looking pretty you know. As for the NPC dialogue I put in, it doesn't have anything to do with arousal, so... IDK. *Edit* Now that I think about it, I think I forgot to put the Max arousal masturbate toggle condition into the event there, so its probably firing either way. Will fix later, when I get everything rebuilt.
Soap desu Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Woot thanks for starting to make a Skyrim version of Breeder that I enjoy playing on NV. I cant wait to see where this project goes.
GTAVC16 Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 is it just me, or am I failing at this mod? The body is not invisible, but unicolor with some patches on it. I did run Bodyslide, though. Am I missing something?
