Quick question: I couldn't find anything about the Thalmor embassy quest being chosen as a punishment even if it is disabled in the MCM. Has this been fixed yet? I did this quest multiple times and really don't want to repeat it yet again.

In the 4.05 version, nearly every time I am in for a harsh punishment Master tried to send me there...

 

I will check on this but it should not be using it sd the check had not changed in a while now.

So with the update the mannor quests still don't update no matter how many tasks I do for Markus. I work all day to he says no more tasks for the day 

 

What time are you asking for more tasks? If it is after 5 pm he will not give any more tasks and 8 pm is when you need to have them finished by anyway.

 

 

Your update is not in order because the anaimatin is wrong with a new game in and some others do not

I have no idea what causes this, the only thing that my mod does at the start is registers its device tags with DDi.

Cd embassy guards not included?

 

It should be part of the main file. I will take a look at it and if it isn't I will post it.

I'm not exactly clear on this, but what do the Tendencies (Sadism, Masochism, etc.) affect, and do I have to set them myself from the start?

 

They primarily affect dialogue in some places and are used for conditions on quests in some cases (voluntarily doing the Embassy quest is one). They need to be set by you as they will not change during the course of the game, at least not at this point. I may add some things later that, depending on your answer, may change them.

 

 

 

 

Quick Question, how do you change the player tendancies? It displays all of them at a value of 4 in the MCM but I'd assume that they can be changed.

 

Reset the framework in the MCM menu, it will let you change them but they won't take effect until you speak with Master again.

 

 

 

Ah, so I'll have to reset the player ranking/disp too? I didn't realize the MCM config was the only way. I can always use the potions and the cdxplayerdisposition/ the master rank thing to put my stats back where they were after reset I suppose. before I do, will it bug out erani (whom I have at this point) to do that?

 

Also,  while I'm asking questions. If we told master we did not want to be a slave, is there a way to reset that? I know she only ask once, was curious if there was a console thing that would... repeal that. with the possibility of an expanded questline in the future, it would be nice to be able to try it out.

 

 

Resetting it will not affect Erani, she is controlled by her own quests.

 

Currently there isn't a way to go back on that but it is something I am considering adjusting.

I'm having problems with the device equip as well, at least for the delivery quest.  I reset the array via MCM and the collar seems to go on just fine, but the belt (and plug?  Not sure) just triggers the "stop moving around" loop.

Any way to make the relationsship between master and player higher with a command? I did sooo many errands and was happy to have the first quest with Jarl Elisif, but know i was needed to make a new game. Would be nice.

 

set cdxrankmaster to x    x = 1 - 20   You will want a value of 15 to unlock all of the quests.

 

so, interesting observation. after doing the reset thing, I cannot talk to master. she just says "speak quickly' which is (I believe) a default line from the voice she uses. no dialouge options open up. So thats a thing.

 

 

Setstage CDxFramework 10 should hopefully get it going. Also, do help cdxrankmaster in the console and make sure it isn't 0, if it is then do the reset for the ranks.

Welp!  I originally had the preferences at Bronze metal, Leather material, Black color, Ebonite finish, and Padded open back.  I set them to "any," and now the equip works totally fine.  Strange that the preferences would cause any issues!  Thanks for the help! :)

 

 

It is likely a conflict on the leather material part, the errors pointed to DDi trying to equip a NONE item which would indicate either the array was not set or it was trying to get an item from the wrong array, in this case a metal item from a leather array. I had thought I had enough of a check on the preferences as it had worked when I put in conflicting info but it looks like it still needs some adjustment.

 

Vel, sadly, I have to confirm there's something weird with equipping functions. I've started a new game, used LAL to start as inn patron, explicitly ran array generation through the menu, waited a bit, saved, loaded. Checked sqv cdxslavery_functions as you wrote above and I can see a few arrays of IDs. Then I started the slavery opening through the menu and saved before decision on the ship to have clear difference to show:

1. chosen "nothing special" got to the mine, waited through the talk and got nothing equipped although I can see attempts in the log, see Papyrus.3.log, it's around 10/06/2016 - 02:05:00AM My inventory after that is clean with just 1 clothes and 1 pick, nothing else at all.

2. I then reloaded and went for "I'll buy my freedom" route, and got a harness with two plugs equipped (although also stuck with the yoke from the ship), see Papyrus.1.log. It seems there should've been more "gifts" though, cuffs and such but I didn't get them in my inventory in the end.

 

With the talk about preferences it's worth mentioning I've left all of them default. Everything set to "any" and all other options except for player disposition were default.

The issue with the standard start began when physics and such were added to skeletons as well as NIO. DDi uses NIO to control several things but CD does not do do anything besides use DDi. The carriage start issue in these cases has been known for some time now though.

Yes. v4.06 is a non-localized version so is English only. Since none of the textures and such had changed I saw no reason to make people reinstall all of those again.

Dear Veladarius!

 

You said that in new patch there is new array system for device equipping. I loaded save when I already had devices one me, came to the shop door, even came into shop, but devices does not equip during relationship with master initial scene (only plugs). :(

Can you please tell, where can I check new array system in mcm menu? Thank you in advance.

You can go into the MCM menu and have it set the Array again, on occasion it does not do it properly the first time. If you want to check if it has done it use sqv cdxslavery_functions and scroll upwards and you should come to the arrays which will have a number of entries taking up an entire line off to the right, it is easy to see.

 

 

 

 

Hey. Nice update, fixed various issues I've been having, thanks as always. On a side note, what exactly are God's Cursed items? I've never seen them, master / other NPCs never mention them, as far as I remember. Are they some hidden feature? I'm really curious. Also, Vel, could you give us a hint about the future? Maybe a priority list? I can't wait for some features to be expanded!

trap for thoes people poking aroud in the console. there is a removal quest, but no legit way to get them.

Oh, so the only way to get them is to spawn them in through the console? I can imagine Vel's planning to do something with those in the future.

From what i understand.

It is just something he made for fun.

Those items also break some of his own quests.

The textures were made for a quest series I am planning in the future but had them made at the same time as the other new colors, figured I would do it all at once. The items are VERY persistent, if you manage to remove them and throw them away they will come back. They have also been purposely set up so my own removal commands can't remove them, only completing the quest can do it (good luck on that). I did decide to be nice and allow you to do errands if you have them on and have a rank with Master of 15+.

I've started a new game, used LAL to start as inn patron, explicitly ran array generation through the menu, waited a bit, saved, loaded. Checked sqv cdxslavery_functions as you wrote above and I can see a few arrays of IDs. Then I started the slavery opening through the menu and saved before decision on the ship to have clear difference to show:

1. chosen "nothing special" got to the mine, waited through the talk and got nothing equipped although I can see attempts in the log, see Papyrus.3.log, it's around 10/06/2016 - 02:05:00AM My inventory after that is clean with just 1 clothes and 1 pick, nothing else at all.

2. I then reloaded and went for "I'll buy my freedom" route, and got a harness with two plugs equipped (although also stuck with the yoke from the ship), see Papyrus.1.log. It seems there should've been more "gifts" though, cuffs and such but I didn't get them in my inventory in the end.

 

With the talk about preferences it's worth mentioning I've left all of them default. Everything set to "any" and all other options except for player disposition were default.

Set the material default to Metal and see if that helps. Generally if it finds that an selection is set to any it should randomly select something.

Thanks, tried. Nothing changed. Still getting a belt this time (instead of harness) in "I'll buy my freedom" path and nothing if I get into the mine.

Check the 3.log in my previous post, it seems like array is totally fine, it's equipping specific items alright.

, just after harness got equipped (had belts in other attempts as well, I didn't keep the logs but same outcome, none of the equipped items end up being on the player nor in the inventory).

I tried out the v. 4.06 with a new game just now. Didn't work too well, sadly...

Setup:

- I set up my item preferences as silver finish, metal preferred, black & ebonite as well as padded closed back.

- I did a LAL start and went directly to the shop, no slavery start.

- Because I wanted to test harsh punishments, I set CDxRankMaster to 2.

Here's what happened:

- I took a delivery job. I got a correct belt, but no plugs. The collar was a padded black one (not silver) and lacked textures (was pink).

- I was deliberately very late. The customer wasn't happy and wanted to equip a gag on me. I got some status message in the upper left corner (device type 8 or something), but nothing was equipped or in my inventory. I reloaded, reset the device array thingie, same problem.

- When I got back, Master wanted me to do a customer assist 02. That worked mostly ok. The whip seems a bit strong though, the poor slave of mine was nearly dead after some 5-10 strikes.

- After that, I reported in with the delivery job. Master wasn't happy and I gave her some cheek with the answers, but I only got a whipping and some "presents". No plugs this time as well. I had expected a more severe punishment.

- I then used DCL's "Free me" and asked for a retrieval job. I waited a day and wanted to report in that I couldn't get the items. But at that point Master had only the "First time visit" dialogue, which ended without options for me.

- I reset the retrieval quest without any changes.

- I then reset the framework. After that, Master would talk again but when I asked for a new job, she said I already had one, but it wasn't in my quest journal anymore. I ended this test there.

LAL itself is not set up to do the slavery start, a slavery mod that supports CD has to be used or the MCM option has to be used AFTER doing the LAL start of your choice. Enabling the player slavery and walking into the shop will not trigger it.

 

- Because I wanted to test harsh punishments, I set CDxRankMaster to 2.

Here's what happened:

- I took a delivery job. I got a correct belt, but no plugs. The collar was a padded black one (not silver) and lacked textures (was pink).

I don't know why it is giving you an ebonite collar since the collar is set up the same way as the belts are as far as material preference. As for the textures it is an installer issue. CGi has made an updated installer but until he comes back its release is on hold along with the localized version of CD.

Gags were the last thing I added so they were not tested but should work as it works the same as the other items. I am having issues with it not liking to use the finishes and devices I set though even though they work the same way as the preferences in the equip function.

 

As for the punishment, it takes more than that to get a harsher punishment. Set the difficulty to high as that will increase the level of punishment. The punishment takes into account your rank with Master as well as delivery record, mod difficulty level and severity (set by the quest). The mod difficulty acts as a multiplier on some of these so the higher it is the higher the punishment.

 

- When I got back, Master wanted me to do a customer assist 02. That worked mostly ok. The whip seems a bit strong though, the poor slave of mine was nearly dead after some 5-10 strikes. Are you using a mod that increases damage from attacks or have a high skill? The crop only does 2 points of damage as they are the basic ZAZ crop.

- After that, I reported in with the delivery job. Master wasn't happy and I gave her some cheek with the answers, but I only got a whipping and some "presents". No plugs this time as well. I had expected a more severe punishment.

- I then used DCL's "Free me" and asked for a retrieval job. I waited a day and wanted to report in that I couldn't get the items. But at that point Master had only the "First time visit" dialogue, which ended without options for me. First time dialogue only happens if the rank with Master is <= 0 or the Framework quest stage is < 10 (it is set to 10 when you speak with her the first time)

- I then reset the framework. After that, Master would talk again but when I asked for a new job, she said I already had one, but it wasn't in my quest journal anymore. I ended this test there. The reset was not set to change a variable used to flag a job in process, I am fixing this now.

, just after harness got equipped (had belts in other attempts as well, I didn't keep the logs but same outcome, none of the equipped items end up being on the player nor in the inventory).

It is on my end. In the command to equip the item there is supposed to be a true/false flag at the end which tells it what set of preferences to use and it is missing.

 

I have a few other fixes in the works so there will be an update once I get them straightened out.

I had a random idea revolving around the property slavery yesterday that might be interesting for future features, although I do think it will be somewhat of a larger job.

You already have implemented the smithing, mining and gathering quests in the property and manor slave content. How about tying the expansion of the shop into that? Instead of building thousands of plugs for De'zra you are forced to gather materials like stone, clay, lumber, iron etc. and build the shop expansion. Sort of "build your own prison"? It could start with having to build your own cage outside where you will sleep until the expansion is finished.

Bug reports - tested with 4.06

- there seems to be a hole in the ground right in front of the shop now

- Embassy quest as punishment - the harness, plugs and other items are not removed on entry to Embassy, and stay on throughout the quest - since Elewynn comments on this in last scene, I suppose this is by design, but really, how could all those guards have their way with PC when harness is on?
- Embassy quest - the cell door is still misbehaving at quest stage 212->215

- not a single cdxexpquest started for me UNTIL AFTER Embassy as punishment scenario - I enabled them all in MCM after expansion was finished and not before, could that be the issue? no amount of waiting would trigger the courier, but after completing punishment and raising rank through console - got a courier on first fast travel, read the note about Windhelm business, but Master doesn't have a dialogue option to start a special job; it could be I screwed up the script logic by adjusting ranks through console

- if you allow bandits to take delivery and take the punishment from Master, on next deliveries bandits don't seem to appear anymore. Once they did but without Boss, and just disappeared when I tried to wait an hour

- excessive debt to Master doesn't seem to trigger consequences often enough; for example it would be logical to trigger when she removes items for you and you take some debt to pay her off, but it only fired after punishment and fine for me

- Embassy - wooden pony - always have to enable/disable controls to get unstuck when getting to it

Sometimes it ends at hold for a moment. Sometimes it goes into the may repeat line and just endlessly flashes that line.

You should only be left with the collar. I will check into this.

Not opening or the open door is blocked by something invisible? First I can do something about but the second is something with the game and physics as there is nothing there.

1- The quests are on timers but they don't start until you have the proper stats to qualify for them. the requirements for the Embassy quest are far less than the others, also if you qualify for the Embassy quest you will not qualify for the Falkreath quest. The other two quests require a higher rank with Master than the others do.

2- There should be something when you ask about a job to handle some personal business or something like that.

I have not seen this issue but bandits won't appear at the location immediately if it is outside a city, they have to make their way to it from the capital of that hold. In a lot of cases it is rather easy to beat them there. Sometimes though it will put them in the person's house where the delivery is going.

The only consequence to excessive debt is she should add cuffs, bra and different plugs the next time you have to 'borrow' gold. Excessive debt also factors into her taking you as a slave.

It is a furniture issue and not something I can do anything about.

If they are not there the Master should get them and have them brought there. I am having some other issues with that quest as well so there is no guarantee that it will work properly.

The Enable/Disable checkboxes are if you want to use the quest or not, if it is not checked then the quest will not be enabled, simple as that. All quests other than the basic ones (package delivery, retrieval and mining) all have a check box that enables / disables the quest so if you don't like a quest then disable it. I added this as I got tired of people saying they didn't like this quest or that quest which is also why they are all disabled by default.

That is Confiscation working. If you had it enabled at some point but disabled it it would not reset it properly so it would still be active if it had been triggered to fire and was waiting. I have fixed the issue for the next release but the following will reset the quest:   setstage cdxconfiscation 500

It isn't anything I would have added, the only backpack used in CD is in the ore pony portion of Property Slave and it is equipped / unequipped by script and appears nowhere in any of the outfit lists or merchant lists.

It is something I am looking into. The model shows up in the CK properly and they are the same as what Miss Delius wears except with white stockings.

some old some new but since i reinstalled everything and started 4 new games almost to the end of the long quest i'd really appreciate some help >.< :

 

1) during the slave quest when i get to slave maiden part, sweeping the floor sometimes doesn t check the completed quest.

2) totally unable to perform the woodcutting thing unless i am doing something wrong, activating the woodpile were i am supposed to leave the wood doesn t do anything. (how am i supposed to do this part of the quest?)

on another save instead i rushed the mansion via mcm and then started work for relationship.

Despite relationship is high, my level is 8 etc..

 

No assist customer work appears (used to work in old versions).

Originally there were not going to be any quest markers for the dirt piles so you would not know if you had gotten them all or not.

2) totally unable to perform the woodcutting thing unless i am doing something wrong, activating the woodpile were i am supposed to leave the wood doesn t do anything. (how am i supposed to do this part of the quest?) Did you speak to the cook and get the axe as that should enable the woodpile activator? Once you have chopped the wood you can bring it back and just activate it.

I'm really sorry to report so many issues - in the end, this really is a fantastic mod you've given us! :heart:

 

I tried out the "punishment set update" fix you've posted for me some pages ago, which didn't work. I double-checked that I had the embassy quest disabled in the MCM but still got it despite the fix. For the record, I manually put the fix in the script folder and it was not a new game, but a 4.06 save where I had done two errands, one of which had resulted in a punishment. After that I put in the fix and got into another punishment and got the embassy thing.

I will look at how it decides what VIP is arriving and make some changes he comes more often. The changes to it were cobbled together somewhat quickly as I intend to rebuild the quest at some point in the near future to take advantage of the new items and colors.
