I have an issue with the task for master quest (the very first one you get)

I got the letter, and now it tells me to talk to the master, but I have no dialogue options for the quest.

Full install before a new game? That seems backwards to me, reinstalling all of skyrim with the mods I want could take all afternoon.

 

Hang on, you know you can rush back to that same point with the right console commands right?

 

I think you can get away with something like

 

>newgame

coc captureddreamshop

talk to master to init some stuff

setstage cdxexp01 1 (I think it's 1... need to double check)

setstage cdxexpquest01 15

setstage cdxexpquest01 100

coc falkreathexterior01 (I'm sure you can coc to the longhouse I just don't remember what it is) or falkreathjarlslonghouse

I've been having problems with the very first expansion quest too. I received the letter, went to the shop (also with the receip from a delivery, and in chastity due to Trial still going on), and whlie Master had the dialog and told me I had to bring documents to Falkreath's Jarl, nothing is added after that. I tried manually advancing the stage to 100, but the Jarl hasn't any dialog.

 

Is there something I can do?

 

 

 

Is the dialogue between him and Nenya showing up? There should be several lines of dialogue between them, if you don't see it then make sure that Fus Ro D'oh is working properly. Beyond that make sure there are no mods that can interrupt the scene running, specifically ones that may start scenes on their own.

 

 

When I arrive, Siddgeir is asking Nenya something about his money not arriving, to which she answers that war interrupts the roads and they should wait for another day, but here begin the strange thigns: they keep repeating these two lines continuously.

That is normal Skyrim dialogue.

 

At some point in the past I also received a letter from the Jarl of Falkreath, but I have no option to talk about that with him either.

That is normal Skyrim dialogue, read it and it will let you introduce you to him and start the quest to become Thane.

 

Fus Ro D'oh seems to be working (or I haven't noticed bugs in any silent dialogs), but I'm fairly new to modding, so I could be perfectly wrong.

If other unvoiced scenes worked then it is likely working.

 

Should setstage put the letter from Master in my inventory? Because I didn't get it either when I manually advanced the quest.

No, it is done during dialogue (as I remember).

I've read the note, and got the quest marker to go talk with him, but there's no dialogue option at all acknowledging that he sent me the letter. I've tried to visit him before getting the letter from Master (thinking that it maybe interfered with him), and after. In both quests, I can't do anything useful with him.

 

As for the CD quest, the problems begin even before that, with Master dropping out of dialogue when I tell her I got her letter. Then, asking for the job, I get the dialogue to bring the letter to the Jarl, but again it drops out of dialogue, but the quest won't update (I had to advance it manually). There's no letter added at all.

I don't know what is going on with the normal dialogue, mine won't interfere with it.

 

As for the dropping out of dialogue with Master it sounds like there is an issue with your game, there isn't any reason for it to do that.

hows progression going in 2016 vel?

 

The new punishment system is nearly ready to start testing, I just have to make the script function that handles the timing of when things happen. I am hoping to finish t hat and set up the links to the punishments from the other quests today.

 

I have started to make edits to the Embassy quest, the opening portion has been completed so far. The other 3 will be getting updated as well with the last one getting some major updates.

 

I have updated the main device equip and unequip scripts to handle any device. The random item script now uses tags to get random items and can be set with preferences in the MCM menu for finishes and some other things. This will also let it use any items from other mods that have tags set up.

I'm having a problem with this mod. When I get put into an armbinder my character doesn't have her hands behind her, instead her hands disappear and the animations stay the same. When I try to un-equip them or struggle then it'll go into a struggling animations but will let me slide around and interact with NPC's and will just play the struggling animation infinitely unless I initiate a sex scene. Is there a way to fix this?

I'm having a problem with the chastity piercings.  I can equip them just fine, but when I go to remove them I have issues.  I can remove the lock/bell/shield etc with a chastity key, but when I go to remove the piercings with a piercing removal tool I get a pop up message saying the harness I'm wearing prevents me from removing the piercings.  I don't even have a harness in my inventory and my character is completely naked...

You are having an issue with Integration, not sure what is causing it though.

It is an issue with the script and menu for the piercings. You can remove them by doing the following:

 

1- Open the console and use    removeitem xx1523D2     xx is the load order position

2- Open your inventory and unequip the chastity rings.

Sorry for adding to the list of problems but i really ran out of ideas by now.

 

But first let me thank you Veladarius for the best mod i got for skyrim by know, you did really nice work, if only i could use it :D And sorry to everyone for my lacking english.

 

Now about the problem. It may be similar to the one of Kethrian, who was asking for help few pages before. It's like problem with some more advanced sequences of mod. I mean i can do normal delievery runs etc and use all the stuff with no problems, but when it comes to the "main" quests there is not so well anymore.

First i got stucked in falkreath, at nyane. The moment jarl told her to strip off, nothing happend. Well, one thing happened. Some dagger was shown at her side ^^ But she kept her dress and anything and it was all just stuck. I used console to skip this but now similar problem happens again. I got second quest and when i get under embassy gates, i am loosing control and the guard approach. And that's it. He don't want to do anything or say the word.

 

I found that were similar problems here already but most solutions was to skip this part :/ And if i do so, i get in another part and i am stucked in similar way, story is just completly stucked, as if i lack something to make this work how it should.

 

But i checked three times and i have all the mods requaired. I tried to uncheck most other mods and it did not help. I tried switching to first person camera, enabling and disabling controll, i don't have attached any distractors like belts or attacks that have been mentioned here before and i looked through around 100 pages at this topic, and few more at others but still can't fin the solution.

 

Ofc I could skip the whole embassy mission but what fun would that be? And the 3. and 4. quest would probably end up same way. I'm almost sure i'm missing something but if i have all requaired mods, what can it be? Please, share some ideas if you have any.

With the Falkreath quest if she was stripped and the dagger appeared (it is hers) then the next scene has started but is not advancing as it should.

 

With the Embassy quest sometimes the guard's stops just out of range of the force greet, try enabling your controls in the MCM menu, advancing towards him a bit then disabling them again. If you are stuck in the cell in the basement with the guards waiting for you to come out you can do the same thing and exit the cell yourself.

 

Generally, the expansion quests are made that setting the stage to the next one will start the next scene.

 

 

I don't know if it is connected but a lot of these issues started after ZAZ Animation Pack v6 has been out, not sure if it is the cause or something in it is making my scenes easier to stop. The other thing that will cause a scene to stop is if another mod tries to take over one of the actors in the scene. My scenes are set so they will pause when this happens to keep them from just ending outright and breaking the quest.

Sorry for adding to the list of problems but i really ran out of ideas by now.

 

But first let me thank you Veladarius for the best mod i got for skyrim by know, you did really nice work, if only i could use it :D And sorry to everyone for my lacking english.

 

Now about the problem. It may be similar to the one of Kethrian, who was asking for help few pages before. It's like problem with some more advanced sequences of mod. I mean i can do normal delievery runs etc and use all the stuff with no problems, but when it comes to the "main" quests there is not so well anymore.

First i got stucked in falkreath, at nyane. The moment jarl told her to strip off, nothing happend. Well, one thing happened. Some dagger was shown at her side ^^ But she kept her dress and anything and it was all just stuck. I used console to skip this but now similar problem happens again. I got second quest and when i get under embassy gates, i am loosing control and the guard approach. And that's it. He don't want to do anything or say the word.

 

I found that were similar problems here already but most solutions was to skip this part :/ And if i do so, i get in another part and i am stucked in similar way, story is just completly stucked, as if i lack something to make this work how it should.

 

But i checked three times and i have all the mods requaired. I tried to uncheck most other mods and it did not help. I tried switching to first person camera, enabling and disabling controll, i don't have attached any distractors like belts or attacks that have been mentioned here before and i looked through around 100 pages at this topic, and few more at others but still can't fin the solution.

 

Ofc I could skip the whole embassy mission but what fun would that be? And the 3. and 4. quest would probably end up same way. I'm almost sure i'm missing something but if i have all requaired mods, what can it be? Please, share some ideas if you have any.

1.Falkreath, she just got the dagger but she didn;t take off clothes and nothing happened after this. If i would not skip this part, i could just stay there forever.

 

2. Embassy, sadly i already tried the trick with walking closer, opening gate, even throwing the guy around ^^ Nothing helped :/ And next scenes doesn't work as well.

 

I'll try to get more information and list it here.
PS: But it may take a while because i messed with load order while disabling some mods and i must deal with the right order before anything right now. Who knows, maybe this will help...

I'm having a problem with this mod. When I get put into an armbinder my character doesn't have her hands behind her, instead her hands disappear and the animations stay the same. When I try to un-equip them or struggle then it'll go into a struggling animations but will let me slide around and interact with NPC's and will just play the struggling animation infinitely unless I initiate a sex scene. Is there a way to fix this?

 

You are having an issue with Integration, not sure what is causing it though.

 

 

I'm having a problem with the chastity piercings.  I can equip them just fine, but when I go to remove them I have issues.  I can remove the lock/bell/shield etc with a chastity key, but when I go to remove the piercings with a piercing removal tool I get a pop up message saying the harness I'm wearing prevents me from removing the piercings.  I don't even have a harness in my inventory and my character is completely naked...

 

It is an issue with the script and menu for the piercings. You can remove them by doing the following:

 

1- Open the console and use    removeitem xx1523D2     xx is the load order position

2- Open your inventory and unequip the chastity rings.

 

I had 2.9.2 installed and 2.9.1 also installed but disabled. Maybe that's what was causing it.

No, it has been an issue for a while. I think I broke it in the last update, there were some changes to the piercings in Integration at that time and I was a bit rushed to get CD updated.

No, it has been an issue for a while. I think I broke it in the last update, there were some changes to the piercings in Integration at that time and I was a bit rushed to get CD updated.

 

I found that initiating a sex scene sometimes fixes it too.

I also lost delivery mission (gave package to bandits) to see what will happen, and when i talked to master i just got their toys off me and some words that she is dissapointed, and that's all. When i talked to her again i got disabled controlls after conversation but nothing more happend.

 

Then i did same mission but late. Master said i need a punishment, dialogue ended, i had controll disabled and nothing happened :/

- and i usually can't load fresh saves when loading the game from menu (first time after starting it), i have to load some older save and from there load any new.

 

This probably doesn't matter, but who knows.

 

About unofficial patches, i got Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch but it didn't help.

Btw, second try after installing patch, and when i arrived under gate on horse, the guard wanted to attack me (couldn't because of closed gate).

 

 

Here is the papyrus log i got, tho i did this first time and it's probably something wrong with it. It's a lot of infos in there, even with using LogViever, but i'm sure that you will know where to look exactly.

- and i usually can't load fresh saves when loading the game from menu (first time after starting it), i have to load some older save and from there load any new. - I have had this issue for a long time, even before I built Captured Dreams. It seems the more scripted mods you have the less chance of loading a newer save immediately on start is. I keep a save made in the dungeon from LAL for loading

 

This probably doesn't matter, but who knows.

Here are a few stages from the start that you can set that may help to get past some issues:    setstage cdxexpquest02 <stage>

Gate Greeting - 60     will start the scene to head inside (use if dialogue does not start at gate)

Move to Elenwen's room - 150    will move the player to her room (use if not moved after fadeout)

 

 

 

Edit: I took a look at your log and it is full of dump stack errors, probably 95% of it is just those.

It starts just after the game has initialized the scripts. In case you don't know what those errors mean basically Papyrus has too much stuff to process so it is tossing out commands that are waiting to be processed. It can damage quests as things don't get done internally and if it has been happening for a while it may not be fixable. It may have been caused by removing mods that had a lot of scripts that ran constantly or from changing the load order of a lot of stuff, Skyrim save a lot of things in the save and it can throw things into chaos if it is disrupted too much. You can try a save cleaner and see if it will fix the issue but you may be better off starting a new game (as much of a pain in the ass that is).

 

 

The other issue I see is that Integration is Initializing the tags for devices multiple times when it is only set to do it once per game (2nd time the game is loaded from making a new character).

Thanks for looking into this. Cleansing (or at least something i did thinking it was cleansing :D) didn't help. I will try to start a new game, just to see if it helps and if so, i will spare that hours to do some stuff again (academy quest, let's do this 5. time ^^). I will let you know, i really hope it is just the mess fault and nothing more.

 

EDIT: Wow, i wish you could see what was happening when i started a new game :D Horses rolling around and extending, some strange camera movements. And at the end of way when it was a moment for game to take controll over my character (sound exactly like the problem i have with mod quest) CTD. I remember that kind of strange movements from after i installed some anti-freezing/crashing mods ("CTD and Memory patch ENBoost" and "Safety Load"). It worked great well but ocassionaly some animals and people around was changing position in strange way and i was getting other strange graphic or sound glitches sometimes. And i installed it before doing the captured dreams quests. I'll try to take it off and see what happen.

 

EDIT 2: No, getting this off didn't help. But maybe this version is too trashed already. Back to new game then. Tho sometimes when i start it, i just begin standing (without body yet ofc) with other prisoners outside cart. And horses are moving behind these carts but with no result. And it's okay after i quit and start a new game again. But it may be one of the symptoms of the problem (i got it even before installing mods i mentioned above) so i will look into this now.

Hey, here is my exact load order of activated mods. I'm still trying to figure out how to get papyrus log without game crashing, but for now, please let me know if you'll find something that may cause problems with captured dreams quests:

Move master files on top of your load order (Sexlab, SL Aroused, ZAZ, DDa, DDi, DDx etc)

you have them scattered all over.

 

it should go like

skyrim

DLCs + unofficial patches (btw get yourself those)

those master files mentioned above

all the rest.

 

For mods like Captured Dreams it should make little difference where you put them in your load order (as long as it would be below required master files).

 

 

Done, tho as we expected this didn't solve the current problem.

 

It's probably not important but

 -i play as sussubus race - should not matter

- when i get close to the gate at embassy i'm turned to left before the guard approach (lol) - happens sometimes, it is the horrible pathing of Skyrim but it should set you to face the gate as the marker there is directional.

- and i usually can't load fresh saves when loading the game from menu (first time after starting it), i have to load some older save and from there load any new. - I have had this issue for a long time, even before I built Captured Dreams. It seems the more scripted mods you have the less chance of loading a newer save immediately on start is. I keep a save made in the dungeon from LAL for loading

 

This probably doesn't matter, but who knows.

 

About unofficial patches, i got Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch but it didn't help. - should not matter

Btw, second try after installing patch, and when i arrived under gate on horse, the guard wanted to attack me (couldn't because of closed gate). - I believe he is actually trying to attack the horse. Keep the horse a longer distance away.

 

 

Here are a few stages from the start that you can set that may help to get past some issues:    setstage cdxexpquest02 <stage>

Gate Greeting - 60     will start the scene to head inside (use if dialogue does not start at gate)

Move to Elenwen's room - 150    will move the player to her room (use if not moved after fadeout)

 

 

 

Edit: I took a look at your log and it is full of dump stack errors, probably 95% of it is just those.

It starts just after the game has initialized the scripts. In case you don't know what those errors mean basically Papyrus has too much stuff to process so it is tossing out commands that are waiting to be processed. It can damage quests as things don't get done internally and if it has been happening for a while it may not be fixable. It may have been caused by removing mods that had a lot of scripts that ran constantly or from changing the load order of a lot of stuff, Skyrim save a lot of things in the save and it can throw things into chaos if it is disrupted too much. You can try a save cleaner and see if it will fix the issue but you may be better off starting a new game (as much of a pain in the ass that is).

 

 

The other issue I see is that Integration is Initializing the tags for devices multiple times when it is only set to do it once per game (2nd time the game is loaded from making a new character).

 

 

 

 

Thanks for looking into this. Cleansing (or at least something i did thinking it was cleansing :D) didn't help. I will try to start a new game, just to see if it helps and if so, i will spare that hours to do some stuff again (academy quest, let's do this 5. time ^^). I will let you know, i really hope it is just the mess fault and nothing more.

 

EDIT: Wow, i wish you could see what was happening when i started a new game :D Horses rolling around and extending, some strange camera movements. And at the end of way when it was a moment for game to take controll over my character (sound exactly like the problem i have with mod quest) CTD. I remember that kind of strange movements from after i installed some anti-freezing/crashing mods ("CTD and Memory patch ENBoost" and "Safety Load"). It worked great well but ocassionaly some animals and people around was changing position in strange way and i was getting other strange graphic or sound glitches sometimes. And i installed it before doing the captured dreams quests. I'll try to take it off and see what happen.

 

EDIT 2: No, getting this off didn't help. But maybe this version is too trashed already. Back to new game then. Tho sometimes when i start it, i just begin standing (without body yet ofc) with other prisoners outside cart. And horses are moving behind these carts but with no result. And it's okay after i quit and start a new game again. But it may be one of the symptoms of the problem (i got it even before installing mods i mentioned above) so i will look into this now.

 

 

It happens at times due to the ninode and physics stuff, when I start the cart is well above the ground and just flies around.

I also did this, i was reading some of your advices before starting the post ;)

But i have news. I started new game, now i will have to do academy whole quest again. And the crashes and freezes are back again. Torture. And what is my reward? I got whipped! :o

But hey, it worked this time. :D Also i just finished quest in falkraeth and all animations runned properly. So i guess it was the mess in mods + eventually the one from stopping freezes. Tho i will enjoy when my main and not testing character will get same thing and not sooner. I'll let you know.

I assume that's vanila first person? Asking because maybe that could make a difference. Btw, for what it is worth, when I got stuck in the Embassy's lobby, I could progress to Elewen's room by using the "reset player idle" button.
