Slightly curious question , Ive been requested at the shop like 3 times now , and each time i show up (cos im good like that) i get given a new date and nothing comes to pass, has anyone else had this issue or is it most likely something to do with how my load order is? Im not too bothered by it as i know what happens from a few versions ago and with the update round the corner its no biggie. ill settle into making it all function properly if it is an error on my end when the new super long quest comes out :')

This is a problem with dates which I ran into a while back, the month at the end of the year gets out of sequence with CD and you have to set CD back to the current month. There's a workaround further back in the thread which I'll see if I can find, but to cut a long story short skyrim uses 0 - 11 for months and CD 1-12 iirc

I seem to have a problem with Tavish not appearing.

 

I've done Assist a Customer twice so far and was told to be at CD for the 1st but Tavish wasn't there Master just says be there for the 10th. Tried resetting the quest and same thing, so waited until the 10th but again not Tavish and Master says be there for the 20th.

 

I also tried being a day late but was not punished I just get told to be there on the 10th

 

Check the following;

Global variables-

CDxAssistCustStartTime   -   is the date of the appointment

CDxAssistCustStartMonth   -   The month of the appointment

Quest stage-

CDxCustomerAssist01   -   should be either 40 or 50

 

 

Now this is strange

 

I am at 31st Evening Star which shows as game month 11 (on 31st before assist customer due). When I roll forward to the next month it shows as gamemonth 0.

 

However CDxAssistCustStartMonth is set to 12. If I then set the gamemonth to 12 I get a really strange date of Turdas 1st of Sundas but the mission does then work properly.

 

So it seems that skyrim months are 0 - 11 and CD are 1 - 12 at a guess

 

I'll set CDxAssistCustStartMonth to 0 which should get it back in synch

That's a confirm setting CDxAssistCustStartMonth to 0 fixes the problem

Coolies :3 , Glad to know its not an error on my end xD. Thanks for the info Slorm & Velad. ill just hang out till the next release then , cut myself a break for a little while before all hell probably breaks out in the next update xD

None of these require building any interiors or scenes (which take the longest to make / test) and I can make quests fairly quickly. The first 3 on the build list I hope to have completed in the next day or two.

I am getting ready to start testing the rebuilt delivery quest now. I have added some features including being able to recover the delivery so long as you don't end up in the unremovable armbinder (beaten after killing any of them or surrendering the delivery without a fight). It will also detect if other mods steal the delivery and (so long as it is accessible) recover it and go on your way.

Sounds like you're pretty close to release.  I can't wait. 

 

;D glad to hear you're making that change to the delivery quest though.  At low level it always annoyed me that there was no option to track the ruffians down and retrieve the stolen goods just because I missed a dodge.

It will also work with Deviously Helpless or any other mod that can steal your stuff and you can get it back.

 
That sounds pretty sweet, Vel! Getting into sticky situations with thieves and such will really test your ability to make the delivery within the time limit now. After all, it would be a shame to make the effort to hunt down the thieves and complete the delivery against all odds, only for master to be displeased by your tardiness. I don't think she will care for your excuses either, hehe.
 
Reading about the delivery update made me think of a small situation that could arise, specifically encountering the thieves without the delivery in your possession. I looked into it, and in the current release, the leader will run up to you but not actually do anything aside from speaking a generic phrase like "hey". It's not really a problem at the moment, but since you're supporting more ways of losing and retrieving the delivery, it might be worth adding a couple lines in there for that situation (if you haven't already).

Vel, had another quick thought that might work for the story line of the shop. (If someone has mentioned this before I'm sorry, I haven't been following the thread the last few weeks. And YES, I know I'm being a feature creep pain in the ass again.)  

 

If the PC shows up after a delivery or retrieval quest and the game registers that the char is naked; a submissive char has their submissiveness and rep with Master go up, and reputation and dominance go down with Master for a more dominant character.  Likely something that could be tied to the quest resolution script, not really sure if it is as simple as it seems from the outside.  Likely not.  

Reason for the idea is that I've been running around wearing the Ves Whore outfit that popped up, the "ready" version. And running from Whiterun to CDS Glenda was having some breast massage issues, so I took the outfit off and showed up and talked to Master with Glenda's tits hanging out (well, hanging is a stretch, but whatever) and Master didn't comment.  Just found that odd/out of tone.  Possibly another alternative is to add a new question to the list asking if the player enjoys being nude.  If you really want to get to feature creep maybe some way to use the question to trip the "is exhibitionist" flag in Arousal.  

 

Still love the mod, thanks for the hard work.

Her dialogue is tightly controlled so she doesn't use any of the comments everyone else does.

 

 

For those of you who have scenes that get stuck:

 

Open the ZAZ MCM Menu

Go to the Player Control Center Tab

Uncheck or Check the Force Player AI option and exit menu

Repeat until you get back to the point where it is checked - it should start working (has worked for me so far).

Which is fine Vel; my point is simply that if the mages in Winterhold are going to walk in on me banging my professor and scream that I'm not wearing anything (because banging the professor is fine provided you have clothes on), then maybe the one person who has an actual interest in becoming my "owner" should make a mental note of it when I show up sans clothing.

I may add comments about it later but after looking at if I could use their comments I won't, they don't do it via dialogue they use a scene to do it and that can interrupt mine.

I kid you not every time I check this thread, (I drop by every couple of days at this point) its seems Veladarius has made this next release better and better. I've got to commend you for this because it is insane how much you have/will/plan to add to this.

 

Also what brand of Coffee do you drink, Cause I want some.

Because especially the great deviously cursed loot mod gets me into devious devices in a way i like and find immersive i've gotten a quite frequent customer to the shop :D. And zenet's gag quest makes the devices so much more interesting. Really nice how the DD family grows and works together.

Also with the new sex slaves mod and the paradise halls plugin my demand to buy devious devices to torture others has increased quite a bit too :angel:

So your mod is not only great by itself but imho also a very immersive addition to the world which connects other mods both for masochists and sadists.

 

Now i have just one small question which has probably already been asked, but searching for courier turned up too many hits:

When starting a new game yesterday i suddenly wondered if it would be possible without much work to let special devious device models to be the couriers which deliver you the various letter ads for the captured dreams shop instead of the normal courier. Especially now with the new nice pony boots from DDX, so a ponygirl courier would just be cute  :heart:

I am testing the delivery quest now and fixing the little bugs at this point. Some of the changes are:

 

- number of bandits can be anywhere from 3 to 6

- if the bandits defeat you without you killing any you can try to recover it. You will need to track them to their camp (they are scattered across Skyrim) and kill them to get it back. They will only be there for a limited time though. If it is very far you will end up being late.

- Surrendering to the bandits will result in getting the unescapable armbinder as well as being defeated while killing any bandits

- customer will tip you if you are early or penalize you if you are late (nothing big at this time). Of course, so will the Master.

- delivery is a quest item and can't be dropped.

- if the delivery is taken by other mods (worth 2500 gold so good chance of it) it will be recoverable so long as it is put somewhere accessible.

- late time is calculated at 3x the early time instead of a straight 24 hours.

- Punishment has been made stand alone so I will be able to use it elsewhere as well or have other punishments used with this quest

- You have a ranking for how well you do as a courier. Each success increases it by 1 and each failure decreases it by 1. Get a high enough rank and you don't have to wear a belt.

- There will be a cool down on the quest of several days - will be a random range with a few options in the  MCM menu for it.

 

As you can see there are quite a few enhancements.

Couldn't it be made so it depends if you are a submissive or not? So a submissive would always get the belt or something...

Alternatively, it could be that only trusted characters who are also dominant get the option to go without a belt. Submissive characters are still required to wear one regardless. Makes it more of a perk for dominant characters that way, which they don't have a whole lot of yet.

Hmm, that makes sense as well, a dominant char might challenge the Master to not wear a belt.

But I personally think, the submissive part would play out more if the character begs to get a belt.

 

So from a role-playing perspective, I would prefer to have the sub beg for a belt instead of a dom char challenging the Master.

But that is just my preference ;)

From a bdsm perspective if a sub requests something of his / her  dom / master theyre bang out of line anyway and would most likely be punished for being suggestive , its not their place to do so (learnt that the hard way :angel: ) as it effectively is taking control of the situation in a sense :3

 

I can see why people have the opinions they do for playability , but a lot of the dialogue and interactions in this mod so far are very close to the bdsm / fet lifestyle.

 

Perks for a Dom of going without yeah sounds cool , For a Sub - Take what you get & like it xD Its just the way it is :3
