Mondaiji Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 Having an issue with a CTD. I failed a delivery, got my package stolen. Begged my armbinder off from a guard, fast-traveled back to the shop, and got my punishment. At that point the master told Herran to take me someplace. After a transition, I found myself faced with a blurry blue screen and some script-running text in the upper right corner. Then... CTD as soon as I pressed any key. Any thoughts? I'm not running anything that should be doing anything during these events. At the point it crashed it had transported you out to the cage in the wilderness near the hunters camp to the north a bit. It doesn't add a blindfold or any items from the Expansion, just the standard items and shortly after you get there it releases control back to you. Try it again and have it generate a papyrus log and upload it here if it crashes again. Ok. Multi-tiered problem now, by the way. First one: I was attempting to duplicate this bug, got sent to Whiterun, no bandits, so I made my delivery, turned it in to the Master, she paid me, I got myself off on the floor of the store [classy!] and then I found myself with a still active quest and a receipt in my inventory. Master did NOT have the speech options to try and turn in the receipt again, and would not give me the speech options to get a new job. In addition, trying to access the store itself caused her to give the normal speech required but did not open a shop window. So... Reset the quest, and everything happened as described again. In addition, I found an autosave in the shop that I think was linked with the travel, since I loaded it and immediately CTD'd Two logs: Papyrus.0.log Papyrus.1.log Disable the Mastrubate on belt removal its in one of the config windows at the bottom, this wont happen after you disable it. Try to avoid autosave they are known to cause problems, save manual and often.
Kalthen Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 All depends on what you like in your play style. Can't see any mayor faults (some but that's preference) in your load that would CTD CD (hah:). I would only reduce heavy mods if you have lag in your game. I don't care if I can't get 60 FPS i like my game to look great and half is just fine. And I for one couldn't live without an overhaul either! I use Requiem Hard Times just to make it more challenging to be helpless. No money, one shot arrows and Ragdoll hell... yeah baby! Most likely, as Val said, it's a mesh that's crashing you. Try to Bodyslide your Devious Devices. There are a few sliders sets for CBBE and HDT or PSB. Just search. It can be a bit frustrating though. I just switched from my own ct77 preset back to unpb psb and omg what a hassle to get the Device meshes to work together with HDT. Still didn't really get 100% satisfactory results but I can live with a bit of nip clipping. Yes I know, DD wasn't meant for HDT but surely I can't be the only one going down that rabbit hole. hehe I'll be perfectly honest. I've used mods for a while... still never could quite understand how one does bodyslide for things. Everytime I see anything about it, I keep seeing warnings about screwing up or users shouldn't worry much about it, etc. So I back off. I'm curious how the mesh is causing a crash though. Pardon me for not understanding... I'm just somewhat lost. On the other hand, which would you remove from the mod list, to your own personal preference (since I'm asking )? Just curious. Nope not doing that. You have a lot of redundancy in your load. But ultimately you can run just fine with it. You have to figure out yourself what you really need and what you cut. I use different loads for different play styles. This is only possible if you use Mod Organizer profiles. And with it for instance you can dump all the dummy esps... like the high res packs (just load the bsa) to make room for other mods. If you have the time (it takes a lot) and patience make the move with STEP (it's just a guideline). But and that's a big BUTT... if you are happy with your game and it just CDTs on CD, either figure out what is causing it... (meshes, papyrus, use Loot... ) or wait until Val has finished the next version. (go Val go Val) By then your move to MO could be done btw. Also, some use only TES5 Edit and Wyre Bash (especially to merge esps and run over the limit) but that's too much for me as I am not a modder. But the bashed patch should be last, though. I... think I understand? I tried out MO.... just feels wonky. Then again, I've been using Wrye and NMM for a while now, so maybe it's just because it's different for me? I only use the bashed patch for it really, and because it gives me handy colors to let me know what is and isn't missing for mods. (Pretty much, if it goes red, click it, look at the master files to find out what I forgot) I'll see what happens. Thanks for the help. NP, sry didn't realize. I haven't played Skyre for a long time. All that reproccering... and rebashing. I think that's also why most stick to vanilla while testing out mods. Hope you find your way in the shop Well the update on my problem is that using COC captureddreamsshop didn't work out. CTD still. Must be a mesh thing like you two said or something. I'm trying to search how I'm supposed to fix that. As well as figure out that mod organizer thing. So I'll keep trying. Thanks again! Wait, before you do that... look at your papyrus... if non-conclusive... make sure (reinstall, then FNIS) you have a right skeleton (you probably do) your Devious Devices (Assets, Integration, Expansion) and CD either patched or full... are installed with the latest version. Make sure you installed the right body for the Devices. Test the devices on yourself via console... if you type "help chast" you should get all the IDs (even the ones form CD) for player.additem, also get the keys (restraints, chast.) If you CDT on equip it's a faulty mesh for your body type. If not it is something else or another mesh entirely. (You can see conflicts in TES5 Edit, clean your mods) I once had an Orcish armor mesh that crashed me all the time someone entered a cell with the armor on. I still find it strange because you are running on cbbe. That's pretty much standard.

A lot of the errors look to be from broken script properties and things like that. It could be caused by a number of things from removing / updating mods (some change properties which is bad) to major problems running scripts (previous dump stack errors). Disabling the Masturbate on Belt Removal is very highly suggested as just about every scene has a point where a belt is removed and that animation will break the scene, some worse than others.

The items I would try first are the harness and the locking boots from the expansion but I wouldn't expect any issues with the CBBE setup from DD. Make sure you have all the latest versions of the required mods as well. As for the interior of the shop, there is a trigger box just inside the door that runs several scripts to check for things. Look through the papyrus log for any errors from CD by searching for CDx as almost all the scripts all start with that (all that would be relevant do).
aqqh Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 Two minor things i found Recovering delivery from fort Neugrad was bugged - quest was pointing at some dead argonian courier but there was no quest item to loot. Was able to finish it after adding delivery item by console. Every other recovery i tried (before and after) works fine. Visiting slaves seems to have grey face issues. B, C and D for sure. Not sure about A. Visiting slaves.jpg greyface is almost always apachii hair for npc's fault. 2.7 install package had 74 files inside facetint folder. 2.76 patch doesn't have any. That folder inside my Skyrim instal has 80 files now. So - 000195(cf/d0/d1) files are missing in that install package - and those are visiting slaves B/C/D. Dunno maybe it was fixed in 2.76 full package.

The 2.76 patch just had scripts and esp and was meant to be installed over the 2.70 full version, since I was updating rather frequently trying to fig things I didn't see any sense in including the textures since those were rather large. The 2.76 full version has everything that is needed for the mod and includes the new script for the blindfold removal fix.
Kalthen Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 Ok, now I am super confused. I was playing around with the Devious Devices meshes just now. Changing body types and all. All works fine... all nice and shapely. Then I notice a difference between the "Captured Dreams Leather Leg Cuffs" and the regular "Leather Leg Cuffs". The regular ones fits my body and the CC ones I see on Karra, Tarry and Alanna are too big (i presume the cuffs are just for the slaves). Aren't you using the same meshes as Assets and Expansion and just retexing them? Oh wait. No, they are different. Sry, my bad - they just look a bit strange on UNP. Could be an item that's causing problems though. Anyway, none on my end... works just peachy. Finally found some UNPB PSB meshes that work for me. Shout out to uglykid!

The Leg Cuffs in CD are just the Ebonite cuffs with some script changes and nothing else, all the meshes and textures are whatever came with the Expansion (not sure if it has separate meshes for cuffs or not).
Gameplayer Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 I still think that Frozwolf is basically facing too much redundancy in mods, there are a few in there that will cause hassle like I pointed out. Yes I pretty much meant that he should get away from an overhaul while going through the process of installing Devious Devices, its associated mods, and of course Sexlab Framework. I find the idea that its a mesh causing CtD to be unlikely otherwise there would be more reports on this and also I would have seen the problem given that I open up just about every mesh I download looking for just such an issue, given that mesh bashed CtD's are hard to track down once introduced wholesale into the game. It only took me about 2 afternoons to get full on HDT for 7Base. As far as outfit studio, I just fixed up a nice HDT open chastity belt this morning and did some cutting of unnessecary weights, Im pleased with the results. So uh no I haven't had problems with outfit studio it just takes time to learn. I will admit that outfit studio with seven base HDT is quite different in its usage and operation than CBBE and I use a method not outlined in popular go to tuts to achieve what I want in half the time. As in I don't do that nonsense with converting to CBBE body and back again bs garbage method. I honestly just import and export the nif to the desktop this saves a shitton of time and works great, I go in with nifskope and make further adjustments. For items that are being really stubburn I just attach them into a body that has not been bodyslided so it will adjust to the proper form...From there I just move it where I want it. The belt now has preg belly, and butt bounce without weird stretching when the legs are fully open I gotta say for real modding Mod Organizer is the way to go, other methods result in too much stuff getting overwritten with only a copy over yes/no statement for a warning. With MO I never lose mod integrity and know exactly what is overwriting what and can make fine tuned adjustments on the fly in seconds rather than minutes/hours. As far as Frozwolfs problem, its very likely something like a skeleton, there are a whole ton of mods that overwrite a skeleton. Realistic Force, Dual Sheath Redux, TBBP Dragonfly Animations, SOS, and so many others. Its too easy to lose a skele and think you still have the right one when operating with NMM, Wyre Bash installations. With MO he'd know right away that his XPMS skele was overwritten. I'd also hazard a guess on there being a bit too much stuff making calls on the actors themselves in the shop. Next there's still the installation of Sexlab and associated mods and it takes time and work in the MCM menus besides FNIS procedure.
sen4mi Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 This mod seems to have some dirty edits, which apparently can cause skyrim to crash in some obscure cases. Here's a thread describing the potential crash issue: http://forums.bethsoft.com/topic/1402068-your-favorite-lesser-known-mods/page-5?do=findComment&comment=21516739 (briefly: if another mod applies an edit to a deleted record, Bad Things Happen). (I added a spoiler on the UDR part to cut the size of this post.) Here's how to fix most of that: Start TES5Edit, In the Master/Plugin Selection popup that you get when it starts, right click Select None, then select Captured Dreams.esp, go OK and wait for it to load (wait for "Background Loader: finished" in the right pane). Select Captured Dreams.esp in the left panel then from the right click menu select "Apply Filter". Turn off everything in the popup except "Conflict status inherited by parent" which is at the bottom of that huge popup. Have it go "Filter" and wait for it to come back. Right click on Captured Dreams.esp and select "Undelete and Disable References". In the popup that asks if you are sure, patiently tell it that you are sure. Exit TES5Edit and in the popup that results from exiting, tell it that you want to save your changes. That's relatively easy, but it should be done in the official copy, I think?

Here's a list of the dirty edits (courtesy of wrye bash): Captured Dreams.esp: • UDR: 31 • Skyrim.esm: 048C26 - REFR attached to Exterior CELL (Skyrim.esm: 009B9D), attached to WRLD (Skyrim.esm: 00003C 'Tamriel') at (-12, -15) • Skyrim.esm: 04D7E8 - REFR attached to Exterior CELL (Skyrim.esm: 009B7D), attached to WRLD (Skyrim.esm: 00003C 'Tamriel') at (-13, -14) • Skyrim.esm: 04D8B1 - REFR attached to Exterior CELL (Skyrim.esm: 009B7D), attached to WRLD (Skyrim.esm: 00003C 'Tamriel') at (-13, -14) • Skyrim.esm: 04E396 - REFR attached to Exterior CELL (Skyrim.esm: 009B9E), attached to WRLD (Skyrim.esm: 00003C 'Tamriel') at (-13, -15) • Skyrim.esm: 04E3A3 - REFR attached to Exterior CELL (Skyrim.esm: 009B9E), attached to WRLD (Skyrim.esm: 00003C 'Tamriel') at (-13, -15) • Skyrim.esm: 04E3A7 - REFR attached to Exterior CELL (Skyrim.esm: 009B9E), attached to WRLD (Skyrim.esm: 00003C 'Tamriel') at (-13, -15) • Skyrim.esm: 04E3A9 - REFR attached to Exterior CELL (Skyrim.esm: 009B9E), attached to WRLD (Skyrim.esm: 00003C 'Tamriel') at (-13, -15) • Skyrim.esm: 04E3AF - REFR attached to Exterior CELL (Skyrim.esm: 009B9E), attached to WRLD (Skyrim.esm: 00003C 'Tamriel') at (-13, -15) • Skyrim.esm: 04FBD7 - REFR attached to Exterior CELL (Skyrim.esm: 009B7D), attached to WRLD (Skyrim.esm: 00003C 'Tamriel') at (-13, -14) • Skyrim.esm: 04FBF8 - REFR attached to Exterior CELL (Skyrim.esm: 009B7D), attached to WRLD (Skyrim.esm: 00003C 'Tamriel') at (-13, -14) • Skyrim.esm: 04FBF9 - REFR attached to Exterior CELL (Skyrim.esm: 009B7D), attached to WRLD (Skyrim.esm: 00003C 'Tamriel') at (-13, -14) • Skyrim.esm: 04FBFA - REFR attached to Exterior CELL (Skyrim.esm: 009B7D), attached to WRLD (Skyrim.esm: 00003C 'Tamriel') at (-13, -14) • Skyrim.esm: 04FBFB - REFR attached to Exterior CELL (Skyrim.esm: 009B7D), attached to WRLD (Skyrim.esm: 00003C 'Tamriel') at (-13, -14) • Skyrim.esm: 057787 - REFR attached to Exterior CELL (Skyrim.esm: 009B7D), attached to WRLD (Skyrim.esm: 00003C 'Tamriel') at (-13, -14) • Skyrim.esm: 057790 - REFR attached to Exterior CELL (Skyrim.esm: 009B7D), attached to WRLD (Skyrim.esm: 00003C 'Tamriel') at (-13, -14) • Skyrim.esm: 057791 - REFR attached to Exterior CELL (Skyrim.esm: 009B7D), attached to WRLD (Skyrim.esm: 00003C 'Tamriel') at (-13, -14) • Skyrim.esm: 057792 - REFR attached to Exterior CELL (Skyrim.esm: 009B7D), attached to WRLD (Skyrim.esm: 00003C 'Tamriel') at (-13, -14) • Skyrim.esm: 057796 - REFR attached to Exterior CELL (Skyrim.esm: 009B7D), attached to WRLD (Skyrim.esm: 00003C 'Tamriel') at (-13, -14) • Skyrim.esm: 0577A3 - REFR attached to Exterior CELL (Skyrim.esm: 009B7D), attached to WRLD (Skyrim.esm: 00003C 'Tamriel') at (-13, -14) • Skyrim.esm: 0577A4 - REFR attached to Exterior CELL (Skyrim.esm: 009B7D), attached to WRLD (Skyrim.esm: 00003C 'Tamriel') at (-13, -14) • Skyrim.esm: 0577A5 - REFR attached to Exterior CELL (Skyrim.esm: 009B7D), attached to WRLD (Skyrim.esm: 00003C 'Tamriel') at (-13, -14) • Skyrim.esm: 0577A6 - REFR attached to Exterior CELL (Skyrim.esm: 009B7D), attached to WRLD (Skyrim.esm: 00003C 'Tamriel') at (-13, -14) • Skyrim.esm: 0577A9 - REFR attached to Exterior CELL (Skyrim.esm: 009B9E), attached to WRLD (Skyrim.esm: 00003C 'Tamriel') at (-13, -15) • Skyrim.esm: 05EACA - REFR attached to Exterior CELL (Skyrim.esm: 009B7C), attached to WRLD (Skyrim.esm: 00003C 'Tamriel') at (-12, -14) • Skyrim.esm: 0FE29E - NAVM attached to Exterior CELL (Skyrim.esm: 009B9E), attached to WRLD (Skyrim.esm: 00003C 'Tamriel') at (-13, -15) • Skyrim.esm: 0FE29F - NAVM attached to Exterior CELL (Skyrim.esm: 009B9D), attached to WRLD (Skyrim.esm: 00003C 'Tamriel') at (-12, -15) • Skyrim.esm: 0FE70A - NAVM attached to Exterior CELL (Skyrim.esm: 009BBE), attached to WRLD (Skyrim.esm: 00003C 'Tamriel') at (-12, -16) • Skyrim.esm: 105A10 - ACHR attached to Exterior CELL (Skyrim.esm: 009B9D), attached to WRLD (Skyrim.esm: 00003C 'Tamriel') at (-12, -15) • Skyrim.esm: 108BE6 - NAVM attached to Exterior CELL (Skyrim.esm: 009B9D), attached to WRLD (Skyrim.esm: 00003C 'Tamriel') at (-12, -15) • Skyrim.esm: 108BE7 - NAVM attached to Exterior CELL (Skyrim.esm: 009B9D), attached to WRLD (Skyrim.esm: 00003C 'Tamriel') at (-12, -15) • Skyrim.esm: 108BE9 - NAVM attached to Exterior CELL (Skyrim.esm: 009B7C), attached to WRLD (Skyrim.esm: 00003C 'Tamriel') at (-12, -14) The fix seems to be: revert the deletion and then move the content that you wanted to be deleted so that nobody can see it. I will have to check what they refer to as there are a number of things that were deleted in the area around the shop but I will clean things up in the next release. Edit: one of the items that is undeleted is a leveled creature marker. I am moving it to somewhere else nearby.

I forget which video but I do recall him speaking of the dangers of mod authors deleting things in game versus undeleting and disabling. Basically when an other deletes something there's a potiental a crash could happen if another mod author tries to refer to the deleted item. So it's better to undelete/disable the item. Which apparently is the same as deleting it since when it's disabled it does nothing. I think. Any other mod that refers to it won't crash the game and things will run just fine. I'm paraphrasing but I think that's the jist of it.

Exit TES5Edit and in the popup that results from exiting, tell it that you want to save your changes. That's relatively easy, but it should be done in the official copy, I think? I will have to check what they refer to as there are a number of things that were deleted in the area around the shop but I will clean things up in the next release. Edit: one of the items that is undeleted is a leveled creature marker. I am moving it to somewhere else nearby. Gopher has two videos on TES5Edits and how to clean your mods and master files. Other than the creature marker everything I deleted was either a tree or two and some pieces of navmesh that were under the shop building (I wish I could disable parts of a navmesh using a script).
Frozwolf Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 As much as I didn't want to, I just killed every mod I had and started over. Got rid of everything, even mods I enjoyed for a long time. Finally works, after cleaning my Skyrim of everything. Which, of course, was a bit of a hassle to get just a portion of them back (mainly because of having to switch over to MO. Felt different, many installs had warning of being badly structured and may not work that initially scared me, etc.). But at least it's working now! Even fixed leveler's tower. Don't know exactly what it was that caused it, but I'll just go with Gameplayer and assume I screwed up bad somewhere. Probably did. Just letting you know all is well finally. Have a wonderful day, everyone.
boundmew Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 The dialogue isn't loading for me. It's all one-way only. I can talk to the NPCs but I can't hear what they're saying, and I eventually reach a point where the game hangs up in a dialogue scene and I can't progress out of it. None of it is voiced, you need Fus Ro D'oh installed to see their dialogue. The dialogue isn't loading for me. It's all one-way only. You need to download and install Fuz doh Roh (sp) off of Nexus. It will add silent files that allows Skyrim to digest soundless text-only dialogue. EDIT: Never mind. Thanks! I didn't see it listed in requirements. It should really be there.
boundmew Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 New issue I'm experiencing... well, not new. I didn't know this was a bug and not a feature until I heard from someone else you're suposed to be able to struggle out of armbinders... It doesn't work for me. There's no option dialogue triggered when I hit the inventory key--it's just not handled when an armbidner is equipped, so nothing happens.

It may be the first one put on you ended up broken for some reason, some mods can cause issues with DD items in how it tries to remove items from the player. Putting the items into a container when you are supposed to be wearing it can fix them as it should trigger the scripts from Integration to return it to you and reequip it. I have been having some issues with ones added by Cursed Loot where I get the option to struggle but it comes off immediately (which it shouldn't). As for Fus Ro D'oh, it is listed in the required mods but the formatting for that section is screwed up and the lines are spaced odd and sized differently, not sure what happened to it.

Hey thanks, also I think I may have been confused, and was using the I key instead of Tab to open inventory (as is habit, I never use Tab except for leveling up, so I didn't figure this out) Perhaps a prompt explaining what to press when the binder goes on would be helpful? Thanks again for the help.

Thanks again for the help. The armbinder is from Integration, I don't have any control over its implementation. The armbinder should block access to your inventory, if you can open it then it isn't working properly (even if you can get into it it still shouldn't come off).

No i got that, what I was saying is I thought it was supposed to be the inventory key that prompted struggle, not tab... and since I never really use tab for anything (can access those menus using other keys, with fewer steps), I never found the dialogue.
Gameplayer Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 With the ZAZ Animation mod, Open its MCM, I think its under Activation, look for Register Animations, After that ZAZ should register animation overrides when wearing DD Assets Not done yet, go to Devious Devices Intergration MCM, Look for Events and Effects, Look for Register Animtions or something close to it. Click that. Save your game, Load your Game, You should see a prompt soon that DDI has installed/registerd animtions. Your items should work properly now.

I have been having some issues with ones added by Cursed Loot where I get the option to struggle but it comes off immediately (which it shouldn't). yes, I've been finding quite a few bugs since I started using devious loot: 1. devious loot will equip harness or ebonite harness (as opposed to the slave harness) on player that is already wearing DD posture collar (only the slave harness can be equipped with belt and/or collar) 2. loot will also equip special CD enchanted plugs on player when player is already wearing inflatable plugs for each hole that it equipped on a previous loot 3.several DD items found using loot don't script for followers after unlocked and removed from player - no dialog message when equipped or removed without keys for followers and if its cuffs also no appearance on the follower been thinking on dropping a bug report on this to loot and a solution from DD getting to the point since using that mod I removed it from the load order to prevent further issues, but I'm wondering if there's any way to reset the items - i'll try taking all the items and putting them in a barrel some place, I've put some items in my safe at home since then, but I've also discovered bad scripting on the bed (bathing beauties luxuries sweet) next to the safe that causes ctd if used, so the container might be bad storage also i'll try a fresh barrel and see if that helps
