I am really enjoying this mod but I get stuck on the Little Pawn and the Shroud quest at stage 790.

Returning to Goodneighbour to talk to your friends. When I arrive I talk with Ford he expresses concerns but then nothing progresses, I get no opportunity to reply.

To progess and complete the quest I have to use the command to setstage to 800.

That's my mistake. For the scene to work properly, Hancock, Fahrenheit, Ford and Cassie must be present. They walk to their positions before the scene, but if they aren't there in time, the scene can't go on. I'll put that on my list, thank you :)

Hi! Enter this in the console: sqv LP_TheVigilant
and tell me what is shown as the current stage. Check also if any of the several REF-entries have a "NONE" Value.

That sounds as if the Quest "DialogueGoodneighborEntrance" isnt working properly. I would try these things.

-Go back to save a before you entered Goodneighbor. As far as I understand that quest does not start before the location is loaded. So entering again "for the first time" should startup this quest and normally it should just work

-Otherwise I would try setting stages (consider this as very experimental, I am not 100% sure how this quest works).

When Finn is dead: SetStage DialogueGoodneighborEntrance 60

If that still doesnt help try: SetStage DialogueGoodneighborEntrance 98

Continue only if everything else is fine (like the Balcony speech)

If you have any Mods that change Goodneighbor, you could load them up in FO4Edit and look under Quests if "DialogueGoodneighborEntrance" is changed by any of these. But I don't think that's the reason.

I discovered what was causing that scene to not start. It was keeping HARDSHIP Beggar Whore and Sex Harassment turned on while doing quests, especially Sex Harassment, as this one make NPC go talk/interact to you. Not only the Goodneighbor entry scene but every other quest became bugged and i couldn't advance on any quest anymore. Advancing via console command wasn't working either. It seems that Sex Harassment change of NPC behavior overwrite any other script on them, and eventually, quests and other scripted event become broken.
The only solution was to start a new game and turn off those mods when doing quests and advancing in campaign. Just reach Goodneighbor in this new game and everything worked fine, using Little Pawn and thousand other mods. Thanks for the reply, and for the mod!

Okay, at this point you should have an objective in the MISC section. You need to report to the mail delivery guy in goodneighbor.

Hello! I got it all installed and low on my load order--it's also showing up in MCM, I checked the folders and have everything however...in MCM it continues to say I'm missing the .esp , despite having it in my folder.

Hi!

Please check if LittlePawn.esp is activated in your mod manager (If you use Mod Organizer, it mus be activated on the right panel, in the plugins tab).

Hello! so sorry I was not aware you'd response so quickly! [Thank you] I have Vortex, it's enabled in the plugin section and it's still not functioning.. I even attempted to put it in the folder manually-- in which it still claims the esp file is missing in MCM :c

Okay, let's check this.

1. Please check if you have all the prerequisites for Little Pawn (also check if they are correctly installed as described under 3.) :

Nuka World DLC

F4z Ro D-oh (necessary otherwise the dialogue will be very slow)

Mod Configuration Menu

AAF

 AAF Themes

2. Check if your AAF installation has everything it needs. (also check if they are correctly installed as described under 3.)

3. I have not a clue how vortex works, so I have asked the google AI:

Spoiler

If your Fallout 4 mods are not activating in Vortex, ensure they are downloaded, installed, and deployed, and that their plugins are enabled. Check for any error messages in the Vortex notification bell and in the Plugins tab. Verify the mod's compatibility with your game version and that any necessary script extenders (like F4SE) are correctly installed and launched through Vortex.
Here's a more detailed breakdown:
1. Check the Basics:
Downloaded and Installed: Make sure the mods are downloaded and installed within Vortex.
Deployed: Go to the "Mods" section in Vortex and ensure the mods are deployed. Deployment essentially copies the mod files into the game's data directory.
Enabled: In the "Plugins" tab, confirm that the plugins associated with the mods are enabled.
2. Investigate Error Messages:
Vortex Notifications:
Check the notification bell icon in the top-right of Vortex. It may contain important error messages about conflicts or other issues.
Mod Conflicts:
If you have multiple mods that affect the same files, they may conflict. Review the conflict details in Vortex and adjust the load order accordingly.
3. Load Order and Conflicts:
Load Order:
The order in which mods are loaded can affect their functionality. Vortex typically handles this automatically, but you can adjust it if needed. Pay attention to the "Conflicts" section in the Mods tab to see if any mods are overwriting each other.
Redundant Mods:
Be aware of "redundant mods" errors, which can occur when a mod is effectively a duplicate of another. Vortex will often flag these and offer to resolve them.
4. Game Launcher and Script Extenders:
Game Launcher:
If you're using a script extender like F4SE, ensure that you're launching Fallout 4 through Vortex's launcher, which is configured to use the extender.
F4SE:
If you're using F4SE, make sure it's correctly installed and configured in Vortex. Go to the "Dashboard", add a tool, and point it to the f4se_loader.exe. Then, set it as the primary tool for launching Fallout 4.
5. Other Troubleshooting:
UAC (User Account Control):
If Steam is installed in the "Program Files" folder, UAC can cause issues. Consider moving Steam to a different location.
Game Version:
Ensure the mods you're using are compatible with your Fallout 4 version (e.g., pre-update vs. post-update). (Edit by me: Little Pawn should work on Old and New Gen of Fallout 4)
By systematically checking these areas, you should be able to identify and resolve the issue preventing your Fallout 4 mods from activating in Vortex.

Okay! I've completed everything as stated as I have all the mods, AAF is functioning properly and I have themes as well, along with all the required animation mods-- I have the plugin enabled and everything deployed.. and it's now showing up!! it looks like the issue was that my vtaw outfits were causing some sort of issue with the cycle and therefore i couldn't deploy any of my mods... now that I have, I see it! unsure how to start the quest now though as Hancock already had his speech .. do I just return to goodneighbor or do I need to boot up an older save? ALSO THANK YOU SO MUCH

I am glad, you sorted it out. When you visit Goodneighbor, a guard from the Neighborhood Watch should greet you and start the quest :)

If nothing happened, AAF probably didnt find any suitable animations and my mod would advance to the next stage.

Enter this in the console: SQV LP_DateHancock

The current stage before the animation should be 290 and after that (or if the animation failed) 300. And then you should talk to Hancock again.

If you dont have them, install Leito and SavageCabbage Animation packs and I also recommend using the UAP Patch.

Hello! I managed to get everything working! I was curious if hancock will still remain romance-able throughout/after the mod?

Yes, you need to craft the LP Maintenance Holotape when you finished the last quest. Then you can choose the "Unlock Vanilla Content" Option and play the vanilla quest "The big dig" and play with Hancock as normal.

Ahh, does the mod itself not have an option to romance him? ; w ;

There is a lot of intercourse with him, but I wouldn't call it romance :)

I was also disappointed when I could not take the relationship with Hancock anywhere.

While he is not physically attractive, he IS rich and powerful and so I really liked the thought of being known in Goodneighbor (and posisbly beyond?) as the GN Mayor's either GF or Concubine or Sexslave or wife.

That woud have been fun with dialogues with other women especially and a nice character arc of success for myself in this new world.

Spoiler

Maybe at the end of the questline a kinda Triggerwoman crossover, Hancock meeting with Darla's BF for busienss in the Triggerwoman bar,  Darla and others would have respected you extra in extra dialogues, if you were a known full on steady GF of Goodneighbors Mayor, in elegant clothes or.... the women would made scornful remarks at you were with Hancock as his naked (except jewlery and shoes) and collared sexslave in the nice bar.  And the men would made admiring remarks about your naked body both to you and Hancock.

Or.... to get a busienss advantage for him, she could have just played that role, so she could hear more info for Hancock. But the real thing might be spicier than just playing a role I think.

I think it might also be psychologically uplifting for the people of Goodneighbor if Hancock has you like that.

Yes, they might be a dirty crime-ridden, Ghoul town, but their Mayor casually displays as his possession, one of the most beautiful women in the Commonwealth. (which you would be IMO, possibly the only woman they ever seen, with good and white teeth, probably look a lot younger than your mid 20s age, due to easy life prewar, was pretty enough pre-war, to land a  famous and good-looking war hero, as husband etc etc)

But when Hancock scorned my ample charms, I got a bit mad at him for it.

But Heinz did change things a lot compared to early version, so the outcome with Ford is much nicer than before and I really liked Ford also. More than Hancock since Hancock rejected me,

At the end going back to a settlement with Ford as a devoted wife, or perhaps as an alternative outcome based on dialogue choices, becoming his caged whore in his Bar business (he loves you, but still needs to put you in your place since you lied so much to him and set him up and perhaps got triggered by poorly chosen disrespectful dialogue from you) would both been good options, in my opinion.

A Game ending end-of-quest playthrough message, or living together with Ford would have been nice.

Maybe at end of questline there could be an option of telling Hancock goodbye and marrying Ford.

Or at least becoming Fords, GF or Concubine, or maybe even spicier, If you had slid into becoming Hancocks Sex slave or even if not, have Hancock sell you to Ford as a GF, or wife, or sex slave for his club busienss,, or whatever else he needs.

Since Ford desires you so much, I was really attracted to him and would have rather ended as his lowly whore than as Hancocks respected staff employee.

PS: Heinz sorry for the thread hijack I just kept going in my reply and it got long.

I'll read along with interest and if I like something, I'll write it down. Besides, there's not much going on in this thread anyway :)
