Little Pawn - An adult Quest Mod

View File

Little Pawn

An adult quest mod that focuses on Goodneighbor with a different point of view. It is recommended to start a new game for this.

image.jpeg.61da41d5eb76043d60645215b92b89bc.jpeg

You can become Hancock's new assistant. He's not looking for a Power Armor-wearing markswoman. Instead, he's looking for an assistant who can use her charm and finesse to get things done. You experience "The Cleaner", "The Big Dig" and "The Silver Shroud" from a different perspective. And much more.

This mod interferes with some vanilla content. A few examples:

Spoiler

The Vanilla Quests "The Big Dig" and "The Silver Shroud" cannot be played as long as my quests are running (through a simple condition). See more on this in the Maintenance Section

The Old State House is edited on the top floor.

Hancocks forced Greeting is also turned of through a simple condition.

It is not recommended to use a save in which you completed these vanilla quests or have Hancock as a Companion. Please just start a new game.

Quests:

"A new Neighbor"

Spoiler

Hancock interviews the player and offers a longterm job.

- "The Date"

Spoiler

Hancock meets the Player for further discussion at the Third Rail and shows her the town.

- "Target Practice"

Spoiler

Fahrenheit takes the player outside the town to test her shooting skills (or to clean the surrounding streets)

- "Shot in the Alley"

Spoiler

A mysterious murder happens in Goodneighbor. The player is going to investigate.

- "Cleaning Service"

Spoiler

Investigation is halted because Hancock really wants the warehouses finally cleaned asap. The player must hire some mercenaries.

- "Good News"

Spoiler

A Citizen has an idea for one of the now cleaned warehouses and needs some assistance.

- "Information Retrieval"

Spoiler

Hancock is sure that Bobbi No-Nose is up to bad things and sends the player to retrieve some info about Bobbis plans.

- "The Tunnel"

Spoiler

The player must investigate the digging site and stop bobbis plan.

- "Little Pawn and the Shroud"

Spoiler

The player has met a hidden fighter on the previous events and must now help him to eliminate a gang of villains.

- "The Collector" a Sidequest which unlocks repeatable misc quests. Available after "Little Pawn and the Shroud". Talk to Fahrenheit to start this.

- Fred Allen and Daisy will offer to buy specific items when you completed their Vanilla Quests (and "A new Neighbor") You can turn their offer down if you don't want to.

- Fahrenheit collects various Chess Stuff. You can find 20 different items in randomly chosen containers. You dont get a questmarker. You find them by chance and get a reward from Fahrenheit if you bring these to her.

- As you play the quests, new stores and NPCs are gradually unlocked.

- Daily Shopping Quest. After completing "A new Neighbor" you can ask Hancock about catering. After that you can ask once every evening after 7pm to go shopping and if he needs something too. This takes 1-5 minutes includes several different options and you will get a free meal and drink item. Which will be stored in Hancocks Cooler.

Playerhome

The Playerhome is a small part of the Attic in the Old State House

Spoiler

image.jpeg.e5349710dbe4cc8dba6c1c0253c5a105.jpeg

How to start:

After Hancock had held his speech a guard will approach you in Goodneighbor.

Important - Load Order:

Spoiler

My Mod should be pretty low in your loadorder. To have a clean Playerhome I had to disable the clutter in the attic of the old statehouse. And I also replaced Hancocks broken bed. If you see weird stuff like floating cardboxes in the playerhome part of the attic or the broken + the intact bed at the same place, this means there is a minor mod conflict with these vanilla records. These will go away if you put my mod lowest.

There is also a reported issue with my dialog if Raider Pet Tweak fix is lower in the loadorder. This can also be fixed by moving my mod lower. I will investigate the reason.

Helpmenu

Spoiler

Will be given to you after you finished "A new Neighbor"

This currently includes cheats for finding Items/Spots that are intentionally unmarked (a key and a maintance room)

If you choose to play on a savegame in which you already cleared the Goodneighbor Warehouses, then you can skip to the next stage.

It can also be used to turn off the music added with this mod.

Maintenance:

Spoiler

When you finished the last Quest you have 3 Options:

1. Leave everything as it is (recommended, especially if you want to continue with a later Update)

2. Unlock the Vanilla Content including Hancocks forced Greetings (not recommended, still "updatefriendly" but bad for immersion if you want to play an update later) Please note this will remove access to my custom Cells "Sanctuary of Justice" and "The Tunnel", so the NPCs Silver Shroud and Bella are not available anymore. Use this option only if you dont want to play their quests anymore.

3. Shutdown. This will remove every door and NPC of my mod and stop all quests.

Options 2 and 3 are available in the (LP) Maintenance Holotape, which can be crafted at the Chemlab in the "utility" section, when "Little Pawn and the Shroud" is completed.

The Shutdown will also take place, if you choose the dialog option "END MOD" with Hancock in the quests "A new Neighbor" and "The Date".

If you need to, this holotape also lets you disable/enable the doors, if you need to access the vanilla cells.

Requirements:

Fallout 4 (works on Old and NewGen)

Nuka World

F4z Ro D-oh (necessary otherwise the dialogue will be very slow)

Mod Configuration Menu

AAF

AAF Themes

A fully working AAF Installation, for example see here:

You need Leito, Savage cabbage and Atomic Lusts animationpacks as a minimum.

Which files of Little Pawn do I need?

You just need the main file. If you are a modder and want to use the sourcefiles of my scripts, you might want the Sources.

The Facegen Data Patch was only necessary if you have earlier Versions of the Mod "X-Cell" installed.

About Voices

This Mod itself is unvoiced, but there is a really great Voicepack available, made by @AnonLove19. It is highly recommended. See under “Recommendations”

Replayability:

Spoiler

Depending on dialog choices, Speechchecks and more conditions you may have different ways how you solve these quests.

Compatibility:

Spoiler

This mod was made with compatibility in mind. Most of the cell changes are just doors and markers which usually dont cause any trouble.

Depravity is compatible but should be played after my mod. Because Depravity needs you to play the vanilla quests. So its recommended to play Little Pawn, then use the Maintenance Holotape to unlock the vanilla quests and then play the Depravity Quest "Like a Goodneighbor" etc. Or use Depravity's Holotape to auto complete the "Like a Goodneighbor" Quest.

I have tested it also with Welcome to Goodneighbor.

But there are small conflicts, which can be solved by the loadorder. To get the correct results the loadorder should be like:

Fallout.esm
Other Mods
...
Depravity
Little Pawn
Welcome to Goodneighbor

The Mod Better Goodneighbor adds decoration which can conflict with some furniture placed by my mod. In this case temporarily disabling them by console might help. There are also some other Goodneighbor mods which might conflict.

Known Issues:

Spoiler

Many Dialog Scenes use the Dialog Camera. If that is turned off in your game settings, the dialog might get stuck on some scenes. I recommend to turn this Option on. Otherwise find a possible Patch in the Recommendations section below

Recommendations:

@AnonLove19 made some cool patches and a Voicepack for Little Pawn. Links below:

Spoiler

This Patch unlocks Superheroes are not born from Problems of Survivor. Make sure that my Mod is lower in the Loadorder, otherwise the Statehouse will have some conflicts.

I have just noticed that the AAF manual already refers to NG. I will test this and adapt my description accordingly.

EDIT: At first look, it seems to work fine with NG.

I noticed something which isnt necessarily related to NG. I tested without an ENB this time and it seems the base game doesnt cast light on characters in my darker cells. So everyone who prefers playing without ENB might want to install the NonENB-Fix I just added.

EDIT2: I redid the lighting in my cells. The Fix is not necessary. The new upload only has this small but relevant change. Regardless if you use ENB or not. I was just a bit stupid :)

You can just download and install the update 2.0 to 2.01 file if you already downloaded 2.0 or the hotfix

[Pre-NG] Farenheit quest (The Date) seem to be broken somehow. She goes to the drawer with a marker on her, then does nothing. If PC talks to her, she goes back. If PC talks to her again, she starts the dress scene. After that scene (which also seems to end abruptly) the quest still points onto her and if PC talks to her again, she gives another dress - but doesn't start the scene.

EDIT: The usual culprit, Player Comments (bah, of course, it puts PC into scene). Just using hotkey to disable works well, there's no need to disable that mod.

That sounds, as if i screwed up her package. The scene must play in the bedroom. I will look into it. Could you try to reload a save before she goes to that room in the meantime and activate her as soon as the objective to follow her is completed?

This is strange. I cant think of any reason, why the goodneighbor cell wouldnt load with my mod. Did you fasttravel or going by foot through the door? You could try to coc in a connected cell, like the third rail and see if you can load goodneighbor if you leave through the Third Rail door:

coc goodneighborthethirdrail

EDIT: Do you have any other mods that do something with goodneighbor?

Used to have a mod, welcome to good Neighbor, i disabled it, even after that I got in by foot ( survival mode) I still get endless loading screen, I'll try the console command but I have doubt that it would work

Try to change the loadorder between "welcome to goodneighbor" and my mod. I assume that my mod was lower in your case, lets see what happens if wtg is loaded last. (dont disable it on a running save, its cell changes may persist). In the meantime i'll look into something.

Just to make sure I don't misunderstand your thank you: did the loadorder change work or are you waiting for me looking into something? :)

Amazing bro! Thank you so much for this mod, Fallout 4 has been severely lacking in good quest mods, the only decent ones that I know of are JB's.

I'm still at the intro, btw is there a bodyslide file for the sequin dress?

No it uses a vanilla one. The dress in the screenshot is from a replacer

Good day! I have one question about AAF function. Is it necessary to install some patches for AAF? I mean UAP or Indarello's patch. You stated "Fucking manual" as requirement, but patches is not strictly stated there (UAP is mentioned, but it is buggy and outdated).
Whay I asking about it? Becouse my AAF have not any patches and sex scenes in you mod have no stages. Thankyou.

My Link to the manual is a general info meant for users who are not familiar with an functioning AAF Setup. If an animation has stages or not, depends on your installed animation packs and patches. I dont make my own, because that would be like reinventing the wheel. I have just made a small patch for 2 animations, to avoid undressing of actors. Otherwise my mod calls animations via the provided tags (like Cowgirl, Doggy etc) and if available a specific furniture object and AAF chooses fitting animations randomly from your installation.

I personally use UAP to have nicely progressing animations. It works very fine for me and I highly recommend it for a good experience.

Great job indeed! Sometimes, it seems better than original story! It’s a pity that you didn't use my idea (about good old whiskey), but it’s great anyway. Thankyou.
