ARose845 Posted August 25, 2025 Posted August 25, 2025 hello, this seems very cool, but I am encountering an issue where upon entering goodneighbor for the first time hancock does not do his opening speech and none of the GN npcs aside from the vendors will talk to me. I have the dialogue camera enabled as well as better goodneighbor if that makes a difference. thank you very much

Like if you go into the thirdrail and out again. But in very rare cases, he is just stuck on his balcony and nothing happens. I had seen this too, but cant do anythin about it, as this is a vanilla quest. Best what you can do, is load a save before you entered GN and try again. I would also temporarily stop any automated sex or sex approach mods, if you have them installed, just in case.
deathmorph Posted November 16, 2025 Posted November 16, 2025 Hey, I just noticed that my lady can easily pick up the printing press, even though it's supposed to be too heavy. However, it then simply disappears and isn't in her inventory. So I reloaded and left the press behind. Do you have any suggestions on who I should talk to in GN about this? Hankcock isn't offering me any options. I'm playing without a HUD, if that's relevant. There's no marker on the GN map either. I've already spoken to a lot of people, but no luck.

But my task is to get someone to carry it. And now I'm supposed to talk to a man in GN who's presumably bringing it there. Who is it?

The first one is the ghoul with a green jumpsuit. and the second is on the other side of GN. But if you dont got a questmarker, the quest is probably broken. Or do you just dont have a marker, because you are plaing without HUD?
deathmorph Posted November 16, 2025 Posted November 16, 2025 (edited) Unlikely. The quest markers will appear as long as the quest exists. If not, then there's a problem. But I suppose it's not an unsolvable one. First, I need to find the types of men the lady should approach. 🍻 I've never been this far in the story before, and the lady is level 129. And I haven't seen any DLC yet, and I haven't even been to the Railroad. I don't need to say anything more about my playing style. 😁 edit// Okay. Both drifters, the woman hanging around the Aggressotron and the guy in the back (see picture) offer me no conversation options. And the aspiring reporter is chasing after me. So I'm stuck. What can I do? Spoiler Drifter 1 was not named. Both the ghoul and the other guy were at the back by the campfire. Edited November 16, 2025 by deathmorph

The task cannot be completed. Too bad. Man I would really like to know what is causing this bug. However two options remain: Go back to a save before the quest started (so before "Cleaning Service" ends) and try again. Or enter this console command: Setstage LP_SQ_Reporter 1000 This would skip the Quest (you wouldnt miss much story, it's just about making these drifter transport some stuff from the boston bugle to GN)

Just today I had some serious problems with several mods and their quest aliases on a new setup and I would like to see if there are some similarities.

If nothing happens, you can advance with SetStage LP_ShroudIntro 310 (this is what the trigger would do and should start a bunch of messages). Spoiler If again nothing happens, do SetStage LP_ShroudIntro 1000, which concludes this scene and advances the questline

deathmorph Posted November 19, 2025 Posted November 19, 2025 It worked, thanks. The doctor in the mall does collect the 100 caps, but does nothing. The illness of my character persists. I was really looking forward to having a doctor in GN...

I didn't know how to make her a full-fledged doctor when I made that part. I'll write it down, I think I can find a way to make her a more competent doctor when I have time for it.

Now that I know, it's quite nice that she's different from the other doctors. It makes sense that there's a paramedic in GN and a doctor elsewhere. Maybe I didn't understand that part of the dialogue correctly; I'm German, and my foreign language skills aren't as good as I'd like them to be. Another thing—the key to the basement—I can't find it. I've searched everywhere. Hopefully this isn't the same PRP that caused problems with other mods until a patch is released. If it's not in Bobbi's house, then I was just being dense. If it is, then I'm completely lost.

It's somewhat cleverly hidden. Spoiler It is in the basement of Bobbi's house. On a shelf on a cabinet, there is a small box/bin. You have to pull the box off the cabinet (as a physics object) and you will find the key inside. I remember also struggling to find it and thinking "It's not like it's going to be in here in this box." And behold, there it was. 1

deathmorph Posted November 27, 2025 Posted November 27, 2025 In the last quest, there's another marker outside of Good News. An entrance where I'm supposed to check things out. Is this another false marker like in Good News? Because I can't find anything there.
