Why is Rope-Torso equipped again and again after a while even though I removed it?

It's kind of a common bug and it's pretty difficult to reproduce, but the best solution is to disable the mod, save, and then re-enable it.

Did that and it crashes on load after clean save.

I'm not able to reproduce this but 4 things off the top of my head:

1. Revert to earlier save.

2. I think I also read from the thread that setting the debug unlock (forgot the exact name of the setting) in KFT MCM could help remove some of the "stubborn" devices.

3. If you have Buffout 4, check the crash log using a log scanner like this to find a potential culprit, it might not necessarily be KFT itself.

4. If none of the above helps, try ReSaver to "kill" any leftover scripts that might be running after disabling a mod or unequipping a bugged item. But be sure to read the description, you can mess up your save with it.

Yes and no.
Ego, the author of the main functions and scripts, has retired, though he can still be contacted in the event of major issues or critical situations.
I am still producing content updates, and FusionGirl 2 is currently in development by its creator.
So, when the time is right—in my view, after the public release of FG2—I will look for a way to handle future updates.

You can actually edit the mesh of the current KFT version yourself.
Use the Outfits tool.
Import the .nif file located at Meshes\kziitd\gags\ named blinder04.

Delete the first component so that only the "tape" remains.

Click the pencil icon on the far left of the interface to display the mesh vertices.

Select the mask brush.

You can adjust the brush size at any time.

Enable symmetry mode.

Use the mask brush to paint over the areas you want to keep, highlighting them.

Press Ctrl+I to invert the selection.

36020260823153331790.jpg.3b43927e1745df1f1e8f06a1f953fcff.jpg

Press Shift+Delete (Del) to remove the unwanted parts.

At this point, you can export the file, overwriting the original `blinder04.nif`.
