Alright so how do you copy this?

I've fiddled around in both skill maker and emote dogma. I was considering looking into custom ani later, but where is this console tab? In any drop down regarding animations I can't find any ch00 prefixes to mess around with. Pref would be able to import it into skill maker for ease of use.

Hi, sorry for the delay. I got to this menu through the EMV-Engine console for ReFramework I believe, it's a separate add-in you can get for REFramework. When in the console, you can type the ID for a certain character then somewhere inside all those menus was a way to play animations on the characters. It was so long ago and I don't have the game installed anymore so unfortunately I can't tell you step-by-step. But yeah that grb_lift_start animation is the one I used for that squatting animation/pose. It's a human animation so I think you should be able to find the same animation through EmoteDogma or Skill Maker at least. You might need to get the full path for the animation from the game files after extracting it though, then enter the full path for it somewhere in the SM custom fields.

Hopefully you haven't lost interest in this game. I've been playing around with the console and modifying animations to see what's possible and it honestly kinda works and can look good. Just takes a bit of manual placement atm.
With a bit more work, this might be doable. I have to learn some more things though because I'm new to this.

Capcom seemingly abandoning the game made me lose interest quite a bit. I really enjoyed it but it didn't have a good repeatable endgame experience like DDDA. But I still have this project in the back of my mind and I might even take another look this year since I'll have a lot of free time soon. There's still a lot of frequent SteamDB activity for DD2 unlike Capcom's other "finished" games, so I still have some hope for a DLC announcement this summer. Playing with Nickesponja's Bestiary mod might even be enough to bring the fun back. You guys will hear from me if I return to this.

Consider this on hold for now, but there's a good chance I'll check it out again this year.

Please do this, many people would thank you immensely!

I mean I'm willing to bet if you got something solid going, you could probably start a patreon and get some donations to work on it. If ya wanted to make some extra dosh to help tide things along. (Insert slight monetary incentive lol)

Did they ever made a sex mod or the likes in 2 years?

Not yet. My guess is, with how divisive DD2 was, we won't see any real progress unless a DLC is released. I hope there's enough interest for progress, though.

The thing is, man...
Most of us absolutely agree that the replay value is abysmal and part of the reason for that is that theres nothing in the game that makes you feel like you live there like how skyrim does. Its not immersive enough, What would make it a lot more immersive is your mod. In games like this, I have always felt that the main thing missing, 100% of the time is being able to sex the sexy or interesting character I like. Games that give you the opportunity lock it behind samey cutscenes with piecemeal shots that last half a second. Something like this might not be all that advanced or whatever, but it would sure be a blast.

What could be better than fucking your pawn at camp before dusk?
I hope you decide to get back on the horse soon, You really are on to something here.

I will have an update for you guys in about 6-8 weeks. I've come across some tools that should make this much easier, and it's nice to hear that people are still interested. So I will give it another shot and post some screenshots/clips if it goes as planned : )

First time I've ever bothered commenting on loverslab, but I check in here every 3-4 weeks just to check as I really want to play this game but I kinda felt like waiting for mods first. So just wanna say I wish you all the best of luck and hope to see some cool stuff from ya later!

Yeah DD2 was a mixed bag and a terrible PC port to boot. Honestly after completing DDDA and playing a bit of the expansion. It would take a lot to win me back. Glad Capcom gave us a time trial so I didn't waste any money. lol

But its also obvious why DD2 sucked. It was rushed as a rehash of the first game to make it cheaply and quickly as possible as a glorified $70 tech demo for them to build the next Monster Hunter off of and that's how we got Wilds and why that sucks as well. Another rushed game to capitalize off of. By butchering the franchise to appeal towards normies and not MH fans.

Dragon's Dogma 2 DLC just got announced today. Two free updates coming too. A QOL update soon and a performance patch on August. The DLC is coming out on October 9th. Hope that puts some fire back in the modding community now that the long winter of copium is over :classic_biggrin:
