If you want to change what is shown in the ingame menu you need to alter the VF_species_stuff_l_english.yml with a text editor.

I haven't had a chance to get working on the patch yet, but I'll get started in a couple days. I'm hoping to have the update released within the week but it's hard to tell how long it will really take. 

 

This mod tries to replace every portrait in the game with porn, which means I have to go through and make sure everything that uses portraits is replaced, and sometimes the code is hard to figure out. If this process takes unexpectedly long I will release the non-replacer version before the standard version since it doesn't mess with the game's existing stuff. 

 

Additionally, I expect there to be some bugs and oversights when I release the update, because like I said this mod covers pretty much everything and many aspects of it are difficult to test in a controlled environment.

The next version of VF Continued will replace the policy-based futa control system with a trait-based one. The traits will be available as a separate mod package so you don't have to have them if you really don't want to. This new submod will add a trait for Male-Futa (females replaced), Futa-Female (males replaced), and Male-Female-Futa (females may spawn with futa portraits).

 

This change will make the game's code more streamlined and add additional functionality, as you will now be able to control futa populations on the species-level.

A: Thanks for the mod, and the update on the update

 

B: something that wasn't in the patch bites but could be interesting to look into: specific protects can have traits unlocked for them, such as the new bat portrait having access to flight despite it being an avaian/arthropod trait. Or the "coral" aquatic portrait having access to budding, a plant trait.

Thanks for the tip, after I have everything working properly I'll look into using this new system to better integrate VF species into the game!

Not a problem, just saw ot come a cross reddit, and figured I'd make sure you knew about since I assumed it would help with say kenomimi's having traits that would fit with out extras, such as the Harry's having access to flight, the lamia having access to some of the reptile traits, etc.

 

(Also: would you consider adding wolf kenomimis at some point in the future?)

I rely on the generosity of image contributors to add more portraits so I can't make any promises, but I have no problem adding wolf kemonomimis and your request is noted.

The standard version of VF hasn't been updated to the new Stellaris version yet, only the non-replacer version and hyper-size submod are working right now.

Thanks! The portraits are assigned to base-game species categories so anything associated with entire categories will work, but if something needs to be associated with a specific species I don't have anything like that set up. I'm not yet familiar with the new traits and I forgot about them when cranking the NR update out, but I'll work on better integration soon.

Hello. Since it is a portait mod, does it NOT disables achivements, if it used on its own that is, without LV?
Never mind. It does disables them.

I don't know anything about how achievements work but this mod has to touch a ton of events and stuff to replace portraits with porn versions.

Just a suggestion but maybe put "(Required)" in the title for the VF Portraits file to make it clear it is non-optional. given how often the issue of people missing that it's a requirement is it might be a warranted step.

Good idea, I'll definitely do that next time I update! My previous tactic of increasing the font size of the "read description before downloading" at the top of the page every time someone has the issue has just about hit it's limit.

unfortunaly the new replacer version still doesnt work for me. the event still pops up all the time, i tried and see if it helped if i made the event in the settings a toast but that apparently ment all events were toast otherwise it was doable for me. the new version for non replacer works. probably go. back to that one

Did you delete the old version before putting the new on into your mods folder? If you just pasted it without removing the old one it will cause the popup issue because I deleted some of the old files that were causing issues, which means if you just paste the new version over it those old broken files will still be in place. VF 3.0.1 has been running fine for me, I was not able to replicate your issue.

 

That said, Stellaris scripting can be pretty janky and I can't test everything that the replacer touches. The non-replacer, which just adds basic content such as portraits rather than overwrite scripts, will offer a much more stable experience if you don't want to risk bugs.

i did what you said and that worked. i never delete the old ones just always pasted them so i guess i learned from this. thank you :D
