Pandora as a replacement for FNIS? (Nemesis too?)

Okay. So have you tried using an earlier version of Pandora?

Are you running Pandora via your mod manager as you would FNIS?

I've tried older versions. So far, PBE 1.5.1 is the only one that doesn't throw out all the errors in the error log. It's also the only one when using it ends with "41722 total animations added," while every other one ends with "34372 total animations added". Though, when trying to masturbate in sexlab with any of them, it just throws a "Sexlab animation failed to start [-1]" error.

That's the PBE version I use.

So you are saying that all is well except for the masturbation error? What throws up the error - PBE?

Are you talking about M or F masturbation and have you tried any different masturbation animations, e.g. Billyy's, Leito etc?

Testing with a male character, when I use the arousal key, that error comes up and no animation plays. When I toggle the "Enable Creature Animations" option after installing Sexlab, no animations are loaded in the console.

I do know when I used FNIS+Nemesis the animations were working. If Nemesis was working correctly I'd just go back to that for the time being.

You only need to have FNIS Creature pack enabled with Pandora. You can straight up remove Nemesis from your modlist. I have no problems running Pandora with Vortex and i get all the animations working that includes combats mods ( MCO and customs movesets ) , humans and creatures animations. All is working fine.

It also auto detects all the animations mods you have , you basically just have to check all the boxes.

And boi , the speed of Pandora is really impressive. You don't even need to "update engine" like for Nemesis. It's really a step in the future

What version of Skyrim are you running? SE? AE?

I deleted FNIS and Nemesis entirely, and the previous version of Pandora except the FNIS.esp. That included deleting the output. Then the most recent Beta release, dropped in the FNIS.esp, linked the empty output mod folder. Ran it outside MO2, then ran it as an executable and it picked everything up. Once I loaded in a character, set up SexLab, then SL Anim Loader and loaded each package that I'm using, and it works. I've got OAR as well which runs on game load. It's all working for me after having done that. If you miss a step, like not deleting previous files, it won't work.

I wanna thank you for trying to help me, as I finally figured out the problem for the animations not working was simple user error on my own part, because I had the sexlab papyrus.util being over written y another papyrus.util.

As well, I got FNIS and Nemesis working again, so I'll continue to use that method until the current draugr stretching issue is fixed wth Pandora.

Install FNIS, right-click it's entry in MO2 and hit "Open in Explorer" which will open the exact folder in which the esp file is in.

Alternatively, you can also extract the esp file directly from the installation package of FNIS. The install package can be opened by any of the common compression programms like winzip, winrar and 7zip.

And then just copy the file to where ever you want to have it.

You can techncically copy it into the folder of literally any other mod you are using, or the overwrite folder, though for organization it's better to put it into the Pandora folder, or a folder for loose files, or maybe even it's very own folder (if you do the latter, don't forget to refresh your mod-list in MO2 and "activate" this new "mod").

Personally I made a seperate "mod" which is really just a folder for Pandora to dump it's output files into and put the FNIS.esp there.

Once you've copied the file, Refresh the mod-list and the FNIS.esp will show up in your plugin list, where you can either move it manually or let LOOT sort it into the right place.

Thank you so much, but im still having problems. Pandora doesn't show anything except the 2 default options even if i have a few animation packs, the Pandora output mod is always empty even if i setup it correctly. The animations appear in slal, but when i start them nothing happens, just idling in the same spot. Even worse now as I fell in the void below the ground, died and ctd. Man I'm starting to think Pandora is the problem, there is absolutely to tutorial

Glad you are up and running again.

Wait... the animation packs are supposed to show up in the list in Pandora? I thought that field was only for patches. oO

That field is also empty for me (except XPMSE Patch For Pandora and Pandora Base), but Pandora still generates the behaviour files properly and everything works fine ingame.

Do you get any animations listed in the bottom text window in Pandora, when you run it, with a "<x> total animations added" right before the "Lunch finished in <y> seconds"?

Just in case I'm going to drop a screenshot, of my entry of Pandora's exe in MO2:

Oh I really don't know about that, maybe yes maybe no, that's why I'm complaining about no explanations or tutorials.

Same for me, but also it always says 0 animation after generating, which is weird because of the installed animation packs, but whatever, the animations show up in slal

That number is always 0 for me, and Pandora output mod is always empty for some reason.

Btw what is asis patch and dual sheath?

It should look something like this:

Those are from two other mods I'm running, that need a Java patcher, to create the files to work. ASIS give extra options to NPCs, like adjusting spawning numbers and enabling them to drink potions from their inventory on their own, and Dual Sheath makes it so you have two sheathed swords when you dual wield and that shields go on the back when "holstered," instead of remaining strapped to your arm.

My animations aren't added then, for some reason it's always 0 animations added. Here's what I did:

- unzipped pandora

- selected pandora.exe as tool in mo2

- added pandora as mod and pointed it to empty mod output

- inserted FNIS.esp inside pandora folder, activated fnis.esp, dont know where to put it (high or low priority)

- put all animations, sexlab stuff between pandora mod and pandora output (taht is at the very end of load ofc)

Just to clarify: You are starting Pandora out of MO2, not just double-clicking the exe file, right?

Yes I'm starting Pandora correctly

Don't unzip Pandora just install it like any other mod archive.

Once it is installed then set it up to run via MO2.

(Going off memory here). The first time you run Pandora it will put stuff in overwrite. Create the Pandora output folder and move that stuff into Pandora Output folder the same way you do with any other mod.

Don't put anything else in the Pandora output folder. Pandora will put what needs to be there whenever you run Pandora.

I have the Pandora Output folder directly below the Pandora mod folder in the left pane.

My Pandora Output has two folders - meshes and Pandora Engine plus the Engine.log file.

Like Grey Cloud, I installed Pandora in MO2 with the "Install a new mod from an archive" button, without unpacking it manually.

After that, I used the file in ...\MO2\mods\Pandora_Behaviour_Engine_v2.3.0-beta to create the executable link in MO2, just like you can see on the screenshot, plus creating the Outptu folder manually, so the files wouldn't be dumped in overwrite.

I too have the Pandora_Output at the bottom of my mod list, but since none of the files overwrite anything else, I don't think it matters, where you put the Pandora_Output folder in the load list.

Holy shit thank you so much, that was the problem: the selected binary was not in \MO2\mods\Pandora_Behaviour_Engine_v2.3.0-beta. Now it works, thank you so much

I'm getting a lot of A-posing in some places when there are multiple animations types at once, Pandora is almost there but not quite.
Running 42k animations atm.

So far, nothing better than FNIS has been invented. But unfortunately, it is outdated and does not work with MCO. Nemesis constantly gives some errors, I had a problem with it even when installing a regular skeleton. You install another animation mod and wonder whether it will pick up or not. Pandora picks up all the animations, but the files of this mod are in complete disarray, there are about 20 of them and all this will litter the data folder, since I refused from MO2. I will have to suffer with Nemesis(

That's it, I can't take it anymore. I have no idea how this is supposed to look and work. I have problems with the skeleton. Loot highlights it in red and says that I need the FNIS or Nemesis plugins. I have the FNIS plugin enabled, but apparently that's not enough and will most likely have problems someday. At the same time, everything works fine in the game, no T-poses. In the Pandora window where the patches are, XP32 Maximum Skeleton Special Extended is also missing, there is nothing there at all except for the True Direction of Movement. In the window below where the animations are registered, all the animations are there and it shows the number 11200. In general, that's it, I give up. I returned FNIS. The differences in the game are immediately visible, the animations look worse, not as responsive and smooth. But at least it works. (Nemesis animations are even worse than FNIS, they generally slow down) And one more thing. For some reason, FNIS registered only 5400 animations, when Pandora has 11200, where are the other 6000 animations?🥺
