Pandora as a replacement for FNIS? (Nemesis too?)

any Linux users tried out Pandora yet?

Yeah. Didn't get very far. Got it to launch OK, but (what I assume was) the UI window was solid black.

There's probably something I'm missing. Ill give it another shot after I finish rebuilding my game from the ground up. MO2 stopped launching (for unrelated reasons I should add), and things kind of spiraled from there...

i take it ppl got tired of the nemesis author, and i've heard about nothing but issues with pandora

lets face it no one can replace Fore, no one else has the work experience of a cranky 70+ year old computer programmer.

So I have FNIS with no issues at all, it takes 65 secs to update the animations so have a faster animation updater aint value for me. I have all kind of animations like sexy moves, sex, dances, idles, zaz etc...  The start of a sex animation can be slow at moments. With defeat animations start fast, hentai creatures is fast.

I use generate Fnis like once a week depending if I am messing with mods or not. I dont have many ctd.

Should I use Pandora or wait.

I want to try Ostim again one day with Pandora as Nemesis was always a mess for me. But I am not willing to loose animations I have now.

Got it working for Linux. It needed dektop dotnet 8 (ish) which wouldn't install through protontricks, but which did when I d/led the install exe and then ran it as a MO2 tool.

Seems functional enough. Zaz anims are OK, haven't tried creatures yet. Only issue so day is the Bonemen in Soul Cairn t-posing until they are attacked, which isn't necessarily Pandora given how I've hacked NY modlist around recently.

Can I get a clarification on a couple of points?

Do any of these make any changes that require runtime support from dll's? Or are they all methods of updating the Havok behavior graphs with extra content?

Dummy esp's are just a way to get mod loading to include a bsa archive that contains the animation data. Right or wrong?

Mid playthrough, I removed FNIS and Nemesis, and dropped in Pandora as a replacement. It caused a CTD after running. I then removed Pandora and it's output folder, re-enabled FNIS and Nemesis, and tried to reload the save, but still getting CTD. Does anyone have any ideas or experienced something similar?

It often happens that some mods add some ESP to the load order. If you remove such a mod and it turns out that it was in a compromising position that alters your entire load order, it's normal that your savegame won't load anymore. If you run Loot there, it will indicate an error. Sometimes there are mods that works as a master file for other mods; that could also be your case. Good luck

Generally changing major mods mid playthrough = bad.

If you're using Vortex, you can go to Save Games, right click your save and hit Restore Save.

It should put plugins back to the correct order for that save. MO probably has something similar if that's what you use.

Keep FNIS and Nemesis in your load order. Install Pandora and use it as its. That is what work for me.
