danna233 Posted October 24, 2024 Posted October 24, 2024 No. After Pandora, other engines are no longer suitable. Animations seem jerky and slow. The only thing that confuses me is Loot. Does anyone else have this problem that Loot requires FNIS or Nemesis plugins for the skeleton? In the game itself, Pandora works perfectly, even mounted the dragon without crooked animations, usually it was like the dragon was separate, and the player was hanging somewhere in the air, and so on until he took off.

Oh FFS, why do you never RTFM Quote Pandora Behaviour Engine v2.3.0-beta What's Changed [Fix]: … [Feature]: … [Style]: … Delete all old output the first time rerunning after installing this update. Edit: I forgot to include FNIS.esp so you may want to keep that plugin from the last version until a hotfix is pushed. LOOT "demands" only one thing, exactly what the game "demands", which is ANY "Working" Load Order & simply means you can Load The Main Menu. CTD on Load of GAME = Missing Required Master (Not Save Loading) With any set of 100 Plugins there are MANY thousands of "Working" LOs, & Loot has less than 500 built in "Community Tested Edits", so you are meant to add your own "User Edits", to force a LO position for a mod you want to win. LOOT is good at getting you 90% of the way to a viable generic setup, you need to force your personal choices onto that base. By adding the user edits to LOOT, it applies them automatically every sort, because if nothing else decides the LO, then your MP (Mod Priority in MO2). DO (Deploy Order in Vortex), or IO (Install Order in Wrye Bash) is what sets the LO. Note: That FNIS.esp is just a dummy plugin so that the game doesn't CTD before the main menu appears. They can be made easily enough with xEdit, but don't do that NOW. A new version of Pandora has just released 20 hours ago (second in 2 days) & this one has the dummy FNIS.esp added back in. Pandora Behaviour Engine v2.3.6-beta
danna233 Posted October 25, 2024 Posted October 25, 2024 Okay. I updated Loot to the latest version, that was enough to fix the bugs. I completely forgot that my version was outdated.
Xer042 Posted November 1, 2024 Posted November 1, 2024 Pandora works fine for my setup. I was annoyed with having the longer process to add animations with fnis/Nemesis. I have FNIS creature pack installed, but ESP is disabled and animations work fine. Using SL not Ostim, also installed and run mid playthrough with no error. VER 2.3.6

Got it to launch OK, but (what I assume was) the UI window was solid black. There's probably something I'm missing. Ill give it another shot after I finish rebuilding my game from the ground up. MO2 stopped launching (for unrelated reasons I should add), and things kind of spiraled from there...
fuchs11 Posted November 23, 2024 Posted November 23, 2024 If you have issues with creatures / characters t-posing using latest Pandora releases, go back to 1.5.1, all 2.xxx betas seem broken
Guest Posted November 23, 2024 Posted November 23, 2024 i take it ppl got tired of the nemesis author, and i've heard about nothing but issues with pandora
MadMansGun Posted November 23, 2024 Posted November 23, 2024 lets face it no one can replace Fore, no one else has the work experience of a cranky 70+ year old computer programmer. 6
skybird Posted November 24, 2024 Posted November 24, 2024 So I have FNIS with no issues at all, it takes 65 secs to update the animations so have a faster animation updater aint value for me. I have all kind of animations like sexy moves, sex, dances, idles, zaz etc... The start of a sex animation can be slow at moments. With defeat animations start fast, hentai creatures is fast. I use generate Fnis like once a week depending if I am messing with mods or not. I dont have many ctd. Should I use Pandora or wait. I want to try Ostim again one day with Pandora as Nemesis was always a mess for me. But I am not willing to loose animations I have now.
DocClox Posted November 25, 2024 Posted November 25, 2024 Got it working for Linux. It needed dektop dotnet 8 (ish) which wouldn't install through protontricks, but which did when I d/led the install exe and then ran it as a MO2 tool. Seems functional enough. Zaz anims are OK, haven't tried creatures yet. Only issue so day is the Bonemen in Soul Cairn t-posing until they are attacked, which isn't necessarily Pandora given how I've hacked NY modlist around recently.
ghastley Posted November 27, 2024 Posted November 27, 2024 Can I get a clarification on a couple of points? Do any of these make any changes that require runtime support from dll's? Or are they all methods of updating the Havok behavior graphs with extra content? Dummy esp's are just a way to get mod loading to include a bsa archive that contains the animation data. Right or wrong?
ysuzs Posted May 20, 2025 Posted May 20, 2025 Mid playthrough, I removed FNIS and Nemesis, and dropped in Pandora as a replacement. It caused a CTD after running. I then removed Pandora and it's output folder, re-enabled FNIS and Nemesis, and tried to reload the save, but still getting CTD. Does anyone have any ideas or experienced something similar?

It often happens that some mods add some ESP to the load order. If you remove such a mod and it turns out that it was in a compromising position that alters your entire load order, it's normal that your savegame won't load anymore. If you run Loot there, it will indicate an error. Sometimes there are mods that works as a master file for other mods; that could also be your case. Good luck Edited May 20, 2025 by 太宰 治 1

Generally changing major mods mid playthrough = bad.

If you're using Vortex, you can go to Save Games, right click your save and hit Restore Save. It should put plugins back to the correct order for that save. MO probably has something similar if that's what you use.
