badbat111 Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 New version Enhanced camera just out, although for some reason with the new version, once I disable the fly cam mode with tfc duringa lovers animation and then press R to go into first person, imminently get forced out again by something in the lovers scripting. I can't fix this myself as my construction set extender doesn't want to work (keeps insisting that I don't install it in the program files directory, is there any way to override this behavior?). You would be looking for use of the command ToggleFirstPerson wrapped in an if statement using IsThirdPersonmost likely that is repeatedly called when the animations are playing. Edit - I managed to create this, see if it works with the latest version of enhanced camera Lovers with PK.esp it didnt let me do side to side or diagnal but it did fix my problem i had where it wouldnt let me move the camara with animals

ger4 Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 xLoversMainScriptModuleCommon and xLoversMainScriptEquipFunc are the scripts in my previously posted file that still have ToggleFirstPerson commands if anyone is having trouble with it.
ger4 Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 Here's an updated loverspk.esp file that should be more reliable Lovers with PK.esp
GMac2021 Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 Guys, really. The girl in the first image is mine. I was put on "hiatus" here by the mods a few months ago for inappropriate comments concerning a certain "other" member who has actually lived up to my vitriol. Point is, I had NO INTENTIONS of coming back here, but I am getting grief that my girl - who is gracing many many mods and screenshots at the Nexus - is now appearing at Lover's Lab. Anti-hotlinking would be the proper solution, but since that is not an option I respectfully request that you remove the image of my main character from the first post of this thread. That is all. Thank you.

D_ManXX2 Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 I did not know there was copyright on an image, posted. is he talking about the one nepro posted in the first post ?? Besides he was linking directly from enhanced camera mod from nexus. it is not even here directly. you still need to click on nexus link in the first post.
Nepro Posted January 8, 2014 Author Posted January 8, 2014 is there easy way to have forced switch to third person when performing deadly reflex animations in first person?I know that such feature exists for the UV 3 but not Deadly Reflex. Since I started using Enhanced Camera by LogicDragon new animations added by other mods are no longer being played in the first person.
Katsuni Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 Here's an updated loverspk.esp file that should be more reliable Lovers with PK.esp Nice work, that's already much more than nothing, but i'm getting some issues with this latest version: every savegame i'm trying to load is loaded in tfc mode already, so to play the game you've got to manually shut it through the console every time you load a game...not really a major thing but it would be really nice to somehow remove this effect.
rynak777 Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 Oh well, with all the praise, i guess i'll play the role of dissent in this thread. The idea of this hack sounds great at first, but on further inspection, i've got to say that the vanilla oblivion behavior is superior to this mod - and that is because the designers of the vanilla cam understood things better than this (technically very talented though) modder. The problem is that making something "realistic" isn't neccessarily better for gameplay. Well okay, that simplifies things too much - to be more accurate: If you make a single aspect of the game more realistic, while completely ignoring the rest of the game (which might be quite unrealistic) - then the result isn't neccessarily better, because you just end up with parts of the game no longer matching each other. What this mod/hack actually improves, is the following: - You can see your own body when looking down - Certain states no longer switch to 3rd person cam, when you don't want it I believe the above two things are what most people here like so much about this mod, and i completely agree that they are an improvement. The problem is that the above candy comes with a lot of ugly sideeffects, which to me weight stronger than the benefits: - Visual glitches, especial with hair, obviously. Some might claim this to be "realistic", but this isn't really true: In real life, a person with a certain hairstyle gets used to where his/her hair is visible in his view, and over time ignores it so much, that it isn't even noticed anymore - thus not distracting from the actually important stuff in his/her vision. But this does not work in a videogame, because A) You might be playing a differently looking person than yourself. B ) The vision device is a screen - not your own eyes. This makes a BIG difference. If everyone were using VR glasses, that might be different, but not everyone is using VR-glasses. Bottom line: It's just distracting and annoying, and that's it. - Lack of sense of one's own arms and hands, and what they are doing. Yes, the 1st person vanilla animations for fighting and stuff are based on an actor-pose that makes no sense at all/is unrealistic, if it were seen from 3rd person. BUT: In real life you also have sensory feedback from your own arms and hands and stuff. You KNOW what they're doing and their state, even if you cannot see them. But in a videogame, if you don't see it, you have no information about your arms/hands state. That's why 1st person hand/arm anims are the way they are in vanilla oblivion - because that's how you in real life feel/imagine your pose and actions. Using "realistic" animations in 1st person cam is actually less realistic, because you take away all the sensory feedback, just so that the pose would look like IF you were to see it from 3rd person, which you aren't because you are in 1st person! - Wobbling and shaky cam. I'm not talking about the usual unplayable blairwitch project effect, but instead more subtle things. For example, if you move forwards and then stop, the view seems to first move forward and then back again. This is because when the actor wallks or runs, he tilts his body forwards. When he comes to a stop, he goes back to standing upright again. In real life (there is it again) you barely notice this, because you're used to this and have learned to automatically adapt to it. That is, YOU don't even see it in real life. But because this is a game played on a screen, with no feedback of one's own body and balance, you do notice it, and it's confusing. So, doing animations and vision identical in first and third person is not more realistic, and for player experience not an improvement. It's not a better cam. Instead, it is a worse cam to get the following benefits: - See your own body if looking down/to the sides - which yes, improves immersion and "realism". - Being able to from 1st person see animations and scenes which you previously couldn't, because there are no 1st person animations for it. This is the main downside of the "vanilla cam": Everything kinda has to be implemented twice in terms of animation and modelling, which of course implies an amount of workeffort which modders cannot deliver. So, the vanilla cam is better, but not very "extensible". -------------- Very late edit: Okay, that was a lot of destructive criticism, so here's something constructive to balance this out: Considering the above, what would in theory be a good way to get the benefits of both? Well, unfortunatelly there are no easy and cheap solutions. Doing it optimally would involve a lot of effort and more hacking: In summary, the 1st person cam behavior needs to be emulated in 3rd person cam mode: The actual 1st cam mode would be disabled, and instead the 3rd person cam would be split into two modes: Pseudo first person, and normal 3rd person. In pseudo-firstperson, the head and arms would be removed - yet the hand/arm anims of the original 1st person mode would be used. Yes, i know, i know.... still, i can't think of another option to do this optimally. The cam itself also would need to be attached differently - basically just floating statically at a fixed position above the player (to remove the wobbling and other glitches). Attachment point as well as rotation limits would need to be set so that the headless throat never comes into view. The problem as i understand it, is that original 1st person anims use a different skeletton than 3rd person anims, right? In that case, all the 1st person anims would need to be redone. But at this point, one might as well give the playermodel arms again, and use different anims depending on pseudo 1st person view, or normal 3rd person view.

offnightmare Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Wait so does this work with lovers animations?
gregathit Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Please do NOT upload AIO files here. The AIO stuff from hongfire is NOT compatible with the LPK or LAPF versions of lovers we have here. You will break the games of others by posting it. Hongfires esp has not been updated in forever and is missing crucial things that plugins here need. We are beta testing our version of the lovers esp this week with a limited test group and will release it along with an update in a week or so.
ninth_alt Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 This is functional, however I'm getting some annoying issues. When sex starts it does not start in first person, requiring a TFC to switch to first person. Additionally, when a save is loaded it's usually already in free camera mode. I was going to fiddle with the scripts, but the TES construction kit won't allow me to save the scripts because they contain OBSE functions which it does not recognize. Does anyone know a way to force it to save the script, or to edit it via another program?
Razzy (Siklar) Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 @ninth_altI don't know about forcing it to save it (might not have that functionality), but as for opening the construction set with OBSE, run obse_loader.exe with the command-line "-editor". The easiest way would be making a shortcut and setting the target to ".../Oblivion/obse_loader.exe" -editor Then run it from there and it will run the CS with OBSE. ^^ And has anyone patched the latest version of Lover with PK.esp (LAPF 1.5) to work with this? I've tried myself and had some success once, but then I messed up my Wine prefix (running on Linux Mint) and started over. I think I commented out too many lines this time around and made the game crash.Also...any luck with Deadly Reflex and/or Unnecessary Violence III working with this? I suppose I can always look through the scripts myself, but I'm a beginner at Oblivion scripting, aside from having edited a few files and knowing Java and C++ somewhat. >_< Edit: Are there more scripts that have ToggleFirstPerson or SetAngle calls in them? I seem to be having the problem that it goes into third person and I have to use tfc twice to get back into the fixed camera, but then if I try to use the "change view" key or the mousewheel for the same function it automatically brings me back out of it into third person. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. o_O Edit 2: (Sorry for another edit D: ) LogicDragon has just made a 1.4 version of the plugin yesterday, so maybe some things will work better now? I'm hopeful :3Sounds like Deadly Reflex and UVIII may be working with this version, and some other things, but I have yet to test it.Behold my terrible editing skills in the modified plugin. ;n; Lovers with PK.esp
fejeena Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 ??? Enhanced First Person Camera is used by LAPF 1.5, see the Setting menu from LAPF page first Spoiler LPK base rev96v5 Change Log Notes - beta 1 to beta 12:- New First Person camera option available(Settings -> Sex Effects -> Player Settings -> Player Sex Camera). This is intended to be used with Enhanced First Person Camera. Based off changes made by ger4.- 3 new presets for the original flying camera and two roaming optionsthat change view smoothly or randomly every (default) 6 seconds. Manually moving thecamera during roaming mode stops further view changes for the current sex act.(Settings -> Sex Effects -> Player Settings -> Flying Camera Angle)
Razzy (Siklar) Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Thanks, Fejeena, I wish I'd known that earlier! XD Still curious as to whether or not UVIII will need to be patched to have complete first person animations...
DeadSomething Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 badbat111 http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/9499/ does enhanced Camera dn that freelok mod work together?
fejeena Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Don't know. It is only a esp and Enhanced Camera is a dll plugin, try it. Or create your one Mod with http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/45419/ Camera commands with the Enhanced Camera. It is useful to create mods with particular views like panoramic, shot in motion, battle cam, vanity cam for actors (not only for the player). There is also a thread if you have questions http://www.loverslab.com/topic/35533-cameracommands-by-alenet/
